This fantastic 7 bedroom villa is spacious and airy. Set within tranquil grounds in an elevated, peaceful position and just a short walk away from the beach. There are terraces with sun or shade at all times of the day and an imposing pool, set within the lawned gardens. There is a large, covered, outside dining terrace with teak tables and chairs and built in barbecue overlooking the sea. In other areas, a rattan table and chairs offers a quiet spot to sit and ponder the meaning of life. The villa is beautifully presented and is light and airy. The kitchen is open to the living room and fitted with high end appliances together with a purified drinking water system and Nespresso coffee machine. The sitting room is fitted with SKY TV including movie channel and sports, DVD, stereo and free Wifi internet (throughout the villa). The whole villa is noiselessly air conditioned. There is a large games room with table tennis and pool tables. The main villa has 5 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and a further 2 interconnecting bedrooms each with en-suite shower rooms are situated beneath the main terrace. The prices quoted are for 7 room occupancy however we may be able to offer a discounted rate at certain times of the year if all rooms are not required.

About Tom Gordon
My wife and I have 5 children (some now gown up with children of their own!) We live in England in a very old farmhouse in Dunsfold and so it it lovely to have the contrast of La Calera. We run a small residential property company in England called Fulham Property Company. We both enjoy house planning and interior design and next we would like to buy a ski chalet in Les Gets for winter holidays in the Alps.
Why Tom Gordon chose Sant Lluís
We have been coming to Menorca for the last 25 years. We have probably stayed in most of the villas in and around Binibeca and so we knew what we were looking for when we decided to buy. When we saw La Calera we instantly were drawn to its peaceful disposition, the sense of space and it's views out to sea. Whilst the villa is currently very comfortable we are planning to carry out extensive refurbishment work over this winter, including re-furnishing the property to create a really beautiful and comfortable environment for our family and guests. We think that Binibeca is the jewel in the crown of Menorca. Then whole surrounding area is a mass of glorious beaches and coves, some only accessible by sea.
What makes this Villa unique
The main benefit is the space and location. it's close enough to the beaches to easily walk, but far enough away to feel private and not overlooked. The property is built on a double plot so there is plenty of garden space and places to sit if you want to just be by yourself. We have also just bought the plot in front to preserve our view and we plan to create an access through from the villa so that is can serve as a second driveway. We plan to plant do a bit of landscaping and plant fruit trees there later this year.

Beautiful property, perfect location and all round brilliant holiday
I took my family to stay at La Calera this summer and we absolutely loved it. There were 12 of us in total but you barely knew it thanks to how spacious the property was. All of the bedrooms were a perfect size, the pool is huge, the games room was great and the kitchen was extremely well stocked for those wanting to self cater.
The location couldn't have been better either. Short walk away from everything you need including the beach, small supermarket, bakery and some lovely restaurants and bars.
I couldn't recommend the villa more to anyone going with a large group of people. We will definitely be coming back again.
Perfect family villa
La Calera is conveniently placed for local amenities but with a feeling of privacy and tranquility.
Inside, the bedrooms are well proportioned and comfortable with most en-suites being modern.
The bed linen and towels are of a high quality and beautifully clean.
The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of glasses etc if the villa is at capacity. There was a welcome pack which was most welcome! The separate laundry area was great space wise and the use of a second fridge and freezer was great for stocking up and extra drinks.
It was also good to have purified drinking water from a tap which saved buying endless bottles of water.
The sitting area was comfortable and cosy.
Outside, this villa is unbeatable. Through the mature garden you catch glimpses of the beautiful views. There is more than enough seating for 15 people to relax ,and at meal times.
The pool is stunning and was enjoyed by young and old alike. There are plenty of sun beds.
It’s just a short walk to a well stocked, small supermarket and some restaurants, we enjoyed El Faro twice as a family.
A villa for all generations to make happy memories.
Perfect villa for a family holiday
This villa could not have suited our family of 3 generations better. Everything about it is generous from the spacious terrace and living areas, to the 7 bedrooms all with ensuites. It is situated a very short walk from a seaside village with an excellent patisserie/bakery and several good restaurants and bars. The beach is another 5 minutes walk from there. However, the large swimming pool at the villa was just as popular. Our grandchildren enjoyed the toys and playhouse and we all appreciated the comfortable beds and pillows and the supply of toiletries unusual in this kind of house let. The house is attractively furnished throughout. In the evenings we watched the sun going down beyond the sea from the lovely terrace. Highly recommended.
Wonderful time at wonderful La Calera
This was our first visit to Menorca and we selected La Calera as we needed a large villa for a party of 12, close to the airport and close to the beach. The description of both La Calera and its location surpassed our every expectation. The villa was spotless, the rooms all spacious with character and a personal touch all mixed in, the swimming pool is massive, the games room a really nice touch and the view from the upper veranda was superb. I could go on & on but suffice to say the description of the villa is exactly what it is in reality. The owner, Tom Gordon, was helpful beyond belief in terms of making specific dates available to us for a mid week check-in; in addition he provided much help in terms of baby cot, local taxi services, best local supermarkets and more. This was really important and he made great efforts to ensure we felt fully comfortable before our arrival. The location is actually brilliant - 3 mins walk to the rocky seafront for views along the coast, 8 mins walk to the local Spar supermarket (which is surprisingly very well stocked) and 4-5 local restaurants which overlook either a small cove of Cala Torret or the small harbour of Binibeca (we dined at 3 of them and the food and service was great) and 10-12 mins walk to the small beach of Binibeca which is great for kids and families alike. Water sports equipment hire and supervision, plus boat / kayak hire is also available. There is even a small train shaped vehicle that pulls carriages along the coast during mid June to early Sept which runs every 45 mins or so - nearest pickup stop is 8 mins walk. The train costs 7 euro for a round trip and links you to the slightly larger town of Cala Binibequer and back along the coast to Punta Prima where there are more shops and more restaurants .. and a small evening market. We used the train twice otherwise we walked locally to what we needed. It you stay on the train for the round trip it takes 45 mins. Taxi from Punta Prima to La Calera is around 7.50 euros ... taxi from Mahon airport to La Calera is approx 23 euros. As mentioned previously, the descriptions of what is around locally was 100% accurate from Tom.
We only stayed at La Calera for 1 week and therefore did not have time to try a few other restaurants nor the water-sports on this occasion but with such a wonderful villa, wonderfully large pool and constant sunshine it was perfect. I highly recommend La Calera - it will not disappoint.
Fantastic family holiday
We had a fantastic family holiday here. The villa was beautiful and everything we had hoped for. The supermarket nearby was quite expensive as the only one within walking distance but had everything we needed.
The property is set back less than a minutes walk from the coast.
Binibeca beach, arguably the best in Menorca is just 7 minutes walk away home to the Buccaneros beach bar set beside the crystal clear water serving good food at reasonable prices.
Mahon airport is 15 minutes drive from the villa. There are plenty of taxis on the island and places to hire cars.
5 minutes walk from the villa are various other restaurants and bars overlooking the sea, including Bar Paupa which is set beside a slipway surrounded by bobbing boats. From here you can also take scuba diving trips.
The famous fishing village, Binibeca Vell, is a 15 minute walk away with it's numerous restaurants and shops.
There are various shops within 5 minutes walking distance including a well stocked (but small) supermarket, a bakery serving fresh baked breads and pastries and numerous restaurants all overlooking the sea.

A returnable security payment of £300 is made which is repayable two weeks after return from the villa.
