Our one bedroom apartment is in Lagos Marina, on the second floor. It is beautifully furnished with both the living/dining room and bedroom having balconies enjoying wonderful views over the Palm tree garden to the Marina. We are only a few minutes walk from the wonderful beach of Meia Praia. You can also take a short walk to the town centre of Lagos and gaze at the yachts moored at the pontoons. The apartment comes with free wifi and an allocated underground car parking space accessed from the Meia Praia road. Complimentary swimming pool access at the nearby Marina Club Suite Hotel is also available. Use of the facilities at the adjoining health club is payable locally. There is also a playground for children in the near vicinity. The apartment is fully air conditioned providing a comfortable environment in the height of summer but also during winter.

About Az

I was born in the UK, but after I met my partner Carla, who is Portuguese, I quickly fell in love with Portugal. We bought our apartment in Lagos Marina in the Algarve and we really enjoy spending time there, as we hope you will too. The sun, the sea and the chilled out atmosphere make for a holiday to remember.

"Apartment with fully fitted kitchen, a powerful shower and nice balcony with views over the harbour (the photos dont quite do it justice). The car parking is secure and the apartment is 2 minutes walk to the harbour - half a dozen restaurants and 10 minutes leisurely amble into Lagos- near enough not to have to bother with taxis but away from the noise. If you want to use the motorway to discover the Algarve, the apartment is on the right side of town, so no need to drive through it."

A smoke alarm, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are fitted in the apartment. A welcome information folder with maps, information and instructions for appliances is also available. A selection of DVDs is available for guest use and the apartment has full air-conditioning and complimentary WiFi connection. Patio furniture for outside dining and sunloungers are provided. The apartment has the use of the swimming pool in the Marina Club Aparthotel next door which also boasts a children’s pool. Towels and linens are provided and there is a weekly cleaning service (depending on length of stay, please enquire for clarification on frequency)and a mid week towel change.We do not provide beach towels.

Wonderful apartment

The apartment is lovely . It is very spacious and spotlessly clean .it is fit out to a very high standard . Anything we needed was there even an Nespresso machine . The view of marina is fantastic. The pool area is great . Plenty of sun chairs and a nice bar . The property management company were very friendly and helpful . We have stayed here in Lagos many times but this is the best apt by far .

Great location, Apartment is Perfect, clean, comfortable, book it!

We have just returned from an excellent stay in Dom Duarte Apartment, I cannot recommend it highly enough, the apartment is well laid out, bed is extremely comfortable, shower/bathroom nice and clean, amazingly soft water. The sitting room has lovely views over palm trees and it's perfect for sitting outside enjoying the afternoon sun. It's within a 5 minute walk from a large Supermarket, equally it's a 5 minute walk to restaurants, bars, etc., on the Marina. We had the use of the marina swimming pool, but it was rather cold, but then, we visited in March. I chose this apartment having read the earlier reviews and it exceeded my expectations, I would re-book without any hesitation at all, Tracey was available at all times should we have needed any assistance but quite frankly all the information you need is in a booklet which has been thoughtfully provided. Great restaurants when you walk into Lagos, go beyond the touristy ones, great value. We also used the train station nearby to visit other areas, would recommend this as very cheap to use! Overall we had a fantastic break, very reasonable prices, very comfortable apartment. Difficult not to re-book immediately.

The property was exactly as the online description.

Don Duarte was our home away from home for for 2 weeks, we loved the location of the condo wich is close to resturants, shops 'train and bus Depot. The condo is well furnished and contained everything we needed. The south facing balcony is perfect for the late afternoon sun. Looking to return next winter.

Perfect winter break

We had a wonderful 6 nights stay in this beautiful apartment in Lagos Marina. We were warmly welcomed by Tracey and Adrian, who manage the property. Everything was in perfect condition and the apartment was very well equipped, with all that we needed. Small things, but as we self cater quite a bit, we particularly appreciated small touches, like having a knife sharpener and blender available to use. The apartment feels light, spacious and very comfortable. The best thing of all was having a balcony that was almost entirely sheltered from any wind, so we were able to enjoy gorgeous warm sunny days sitting outside in the middle of winter!

The apartment is perfectly situated right by the Marina, just a short walk from restaurants and cafes. Just a slightly longer walk takes you into Lagos town, with a lovely fresh food market and many other restaurants to choose from.

All my communications with Az and Carla (the property owners) were answered promptly and helpfully. We also felt very comfortable knowing that Tracey and Adrian were only a phone call away, if we did need any help. I can thoroughly recommend this apartment. I'm sure it is wonderful in the summer time, but we personally loved the quiet and unexpected warmth of our winter stay.

Winter Sunshine

We have just returned from two weeks in the sun. The apartment is ideally located for Lagos Marina, the town and beach are just a short walk away. The apartment is clean, tidy and comfortable, everything you need for that getaway, and it was so peaceful being out of season. Thank you.

Excellent one bedroom appartment in Lagos Marina.

We recently stayed in this excellent appartment for 17 days hoiday.The appartment is very well maintained and comprehensively equiped,exactly as advertised,providing very comfortable accomodation.There was a plentiful supply of towels and bedlinen and all necessary appliances were provided.The location is excellent being close to bars restraurants and public transport.A most enjoyable relaxing holiday, we shall certainly use this property again.

Our apartment is only a 10 minute walk from Meia Praia beach and 15 minute walk from Batata beach. Dona Ana beach and Luz beach are only a short drive away.

We are located 45 mins drive from Faro Airport. As Apartment Dom Duarte is so centrally situated, a car is not essential for your holiday enjoyment, but to gain an appreciation of just what the Western Algarve can offer, a car is recommended. There are shuttle buses to Faro and the airport and the train station is only 400 metres away.

The fabulous west coast beaches, where the surfing is renowned, are only 30 minutes drive away and the Monchique hills and the historic old capital of the Algarve, Silves, is an equal distance the other way.

The nearest supermarket is 5 mins walking distance as are the nearest bars and restaurants. Zoomarine is 30mins drive away and Sagres and the West Coast 45 mins drive away. There are also seafaris, dolphin watching and other boating tours on offer to book on site.
