'Le Grenache' is a charming 300 yr old stone property recently renovated to a high standard and offers comfortable, stylish accommodation while retaining many original features, eg exposed beams, original tiled floors and wood burning stove. The property has two bedrooms, a mezzanine floor, top floor lounge has huge sliding doors that open onto south facing terrace, full sun all day ! On the ground floor a large well equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, washing machine, original stone sink and tiled floor, beams and wood burning stove. Off the kitchen is a spacious dining room. On the same level is the main bathroom with full size bath, WC and walk in shower. One flight of stairs leads to the mezzanine, an interesting use of space often seen in old French houses it overlooks the dining area and serves as the second bedroom. On the middle floor is the master bedroom and next to it a second WC. On the top floor the cosy lounge with exposed stone wall, wooden floor and exposed beams, furniture, TV and stereo. This charming room leads out via huge patio doors onto the south facing terrace with outdoor furniture... perfect for a glass of wine in the evening or morning coffee.

Paziols is only 40 mins to the Med beaches, 35 mins Perpignan, close to Spanish border making trips to Barcelona very quick ( only 45 mins ! ) since the arrival of the very fast TGV train link. Easy drive to Carcassonne and many other historical sites, the area is perfect for walking and cycling and has river swimming on the edge of the village. Open all year and pet friendly, Le Grenache is the perfect base to explore the sunniest corner of Southern France ! The property does not have wi-fi but the village bar 2 mins walk has it. We are happy to offer short breaks outside the main holiday periods. Please contact us for prices and availability. We have moved changeover day to Wednesday so guests can take advantage of low cost flights.

Paziols is a very pretty, unspoilt wine producing village surrounded by vineyards and spectacular scenery and has everything you need for a great holiday; shop, bakery, bar and restaurant all just a 3 minute walk from the house.

Before moving to France I was owner of a graphic design studio and worked for many national and international clients. Notes on accommodation: The property was lovingly restored and designed by the leading architect/builder in the Languedoc. As many original features as possible were retained and only the best materials were used. We have tried to provide our guests with an authentic French holiday experience in an unspoilt farming/wine producing community. Outside: During the renovation process we created a roof terrace to take advantage of the south facing aspect and the spectacular views. It is a real sun trap, every one's favourite place to chill out with a glass of delicious local wine or morning coffee and fresh croissants from the village bakery. Dining furniture is provided for al fresco dining. The perfect place for breakfast or to watch the sun go down. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The rental price includes bed linen and towels that are changed weekly. The property is cleaned weekly at every changeover.

The Med beaches of Torreilles, Canet Plage etc are an easy 45 mins drive through fabulous scenery and quiet country roads or swim in the crystal clear waters of the river in Paziols just a few minutes from the property. Open air pool at Tuchan 2 miles away.


The nearest airport is Perpignan ( 35 mins ) Girona is a good option ( 1hr 15mins ) also Carcassonne ( 1hr 15 mins ) both Ryanair. Toulouse is another option but a little further away ( 2hrs ).


Perpignan 35 km, Tuchan ( next village with more shops, open air pool ) 3km

Carcassonne 1hr 15mins. Many historical sites eg Cathar Castles within 30 mins drive.

Paziols is a rural village but has a well stocked grocery shop, bakery a bar/cafe and restaurant all within a short stroll from the house. Nearby Tuchan has a bank, supermarket, restaurants, petrol station. Perpignan and Narbonne have the very large supermarkets, eg Carrefour, Intermarche.

To help you get the best flight prices we offer midweek changeovers of Wednesday or Thursday.

Although the website stipulates a minimum 7 night stay we are pleased offer short breaks outside the main holiday period as many guests are seeking a full week's holiday. Please contact us for prices and availability and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

£50 deposit secures the property with the balance payable 4 weeks before arrival. Payment can be made by bank transfer or cheque. Changeover day is Saturday.
