My husband and I are Interior Designers, based in Surrey. Our 21 year old daughter has grown up digging on Salcombe's sandy beaches and mucking about on boats in the Estuary!

The Salcombe estuary is arguably one of the most scenic seaside locations in the UK. For us, like so many others it was love at first sight, Salcombe is the perfect place to unwind as it has something to suit everyone. We really feel with have the best of all worlds here, a lovely bustling town, full of life with lovely boutiques and restaurants, but with easy access to the coastal paths where you can easily find your own peaceful spot to admire the gorgeous views. The area really is a boating paradise, whether you want to Sail at the Island Cruising Club, take a ferry to one of the sandy beaches, hop on a scenic tour or hire your own vessel and explore the inland creeks (and pubs!)
What makes this Apartment unique
Wellingtons is the perfect choice for a relaxing break, you really don't need to get back in the car for the duration of your stay. Everything is in walking distance, We are a ten minute downhill stroll to both Salcombe town and Northsands Beach, where the famous Winking Prawn beach cafe/bistro is situated & open all day. Being just a short distance from the town, Wellingtons is a lovely peaceful retreat, especially in the high season when the town is bustling, you can come back for a swim in the lovely outdoor pool. We are Interior Designers and this apartment is our beloved home. It has been our aim to make the interior both elegant and tasteful as well as relaxing and comfortable.

Beautifully decorated, spectacular view and close to town
Diana kept us well informed and had accurately described the apartment. The house is very tastefully decorated and equipped, with three good bedrooms and open plan kitchen/ lounge leading onto a balcony. Situated midway between the North Sands beach and town, neither took long to walk to. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wellingtons, it really was a beautiful apartment and it's attention to detail was second to none. The view from the apartment was truly breathtaking and we enjoyed the balcony tremendously as a result. The apartment was not only stunning but also very clean and welcoming. Salcombe was a short walk away and we fell in love with it the moment we toured the gorgeous town with it's lovely little shops and plenty of eateries next to the water. It was a wonderful break and we would highly recommend staying at Wellingtons. We can't wait to go back!
This property is exquisite, beautifully appointed
This flat is very convenient for Salcombe there is a local bus stop outside the house, so no need for a car to go to Salcombe if you are unable to walk. The beaches are in walking distance, either using the ferry or staying the Salcombe side. Beautiful area either in season or out of season. I fully recommend a visit.
Wellingtons is a stunning apartment. A short walk from the delightful Harbour area and town/restaurants/ferries. It has lovely views overlooking the Salcombe estuary. Exactly as described. Very comfortable, spacious interior designed accommodation. A fabulous swimming pool should you tire of the beach. The owner is extremely helpful and there is plenty of information supplied for a first time visitor.plus a parking space (a godsend in Salcombe) A perfect base to explore this beautiful part of the south hams. You will not be disappointed. We will certainly be returning.
10 min downhill stroll to the Picturesque & sheltered Northsands Beach, Home of the famous "Winking Prawn" beach bistro/cafe. A further 10 min walk will get you to South Sands (No Dogs so good for small children) which offers water sports hire, Cafe and 2 small upmarket hotels serving food and snacks with has a regular sea tractor/ferry into Salcombe. There is also a Long stretch of sandy beaches and coves just a 5 minute hop across the estuary on the non-stop ferry service from Salcombe town.

Nearest Train Station - Totnes (Bus connections to Salcombe via Kingsbridge)
or 45 minute Taxi ride.

Visitors can enjoy locally made ice-cream, Chocolate from our own chocolate factory as will as the famous Salcombe Crab and Lobster.
The Harbour provides a safe haven for visiting yachts and the Island Cruising Club, based on an old Mersey ferry anchored in the estuary offers a wonderful range of sailing courses for all ages and abilities.
Designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, Salcombe Estury is a local nature reserve which provides added interest to walkers who use Salcombe as a base for exploring the beaches, creeks and spectacular National Trust Coastal paths from which can be seen many species of flora and fauna.
There a variety of boat trips to be taken from the harbour front, including regular ferries up the estuary to the lovely Georgian market town of Kingsbridge and the quaint South Sands and East Portlemouth ferries which provide scenic rides to a choice of beautiful sheltered beaches.
