Apartment in Falmouth, Cornwall, England - Moments From Town Centre And 10 Minutes' Walk To Lovely Sandy Beaches. Good Public Transport Links
About Janet Schofield
As a family we are increasingly enticed by the sea, whether for walking, swimming, sightseeing (or just gazing). Now our children are older we've graduated from buckets and spades to the exhilaration of body boarding and enjoying the local restaurants and pubs.
Janet Schofield purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why Janet Schofield chose Falmouth
We've fallen in love with Cornwall and having an apartment there is a wonderful excuse for frequent visits. We have holidays when we get in the car and explore right down to the tip of Cornwall and the north coast, taking in gardens, houses, walks and pubs. More often than not, though, we spend our time around Falmouth on the beach, walking, reading, shopping, swimming and enjoying the local food. Falmouth provides such a great base. We enjoy the combination of access to the great outdoors (helped by the brilliant ferry network on the Fal river) and the convenience of town - in the evenings or on wet days - for eating out or visiting the fantastic little cinema.
What makes this Apartment unique
For us the location of the property is ideal, with easy access and parking. You can leave your car parked up for the week as so much is in walking distance, with rail, buses and ferry's only minutes away if we want to go slightly farther afield. There is a lot to be said for being able to go for a walk or out to eat in the evening without having to get in the car first. The apartment is really roomy and a pleasure to spend time in. The views of the harbour are great, and there is always something going on. In fact we find ourselves becoming strangely addicted to the web site detailing the harbour's shipping movements!
100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
Bank House is a perfectly positioned apartment, within walking distance to everything you need. Falmouth is a fabulous place & the views over the harbour are mesmerising.
We will definitely stay again, thank you Janet & Myles
We're delighted you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully you found the Falmouth Harbour Shipping Movements web site - always a must when ship-watching!

A really spacious, well cared for, modernised flat with views over the harbour.
This flat is extremely clean and well maintained. It has good views of the harbour and easy access to shops and restaurants( some one or two minutes walk away). A few more minutes and you find interesting pubs eg Beerwolf and an individual cinema.
You can walk around the headland with wonderful views of the sea and further afield if you wish.
The flat itself is very well equipped and has a comfortable corner sofa, two bathrooms, a range of DVDs and every conceivable implement for cooking. There is good storage throughout.
A relaxing stay
Thank you for your review.
We are pleased you liked the apartment.
Myles and Janet.
Beautiful, spacious apartment in great location
The apartment is much bigger than it looks online. It was a pleasant surprise when we arrived and found a Christmas tree up for our Christmas stay - the kids were worried where santa would leave their presents!
The apartment is very well equipped. Everything has been thought of. The location is brilliant with restaurants and shops all within walking distance.
I would definitely recommend!
So pleased you enjoyed your stay, and thank you for the lovely comments. We do hope you'll be back!
Fantastic Location, lots of space cannot fault it.
We stayed in Falmouth for 10 days and got married during that time. With so many many family and friends travelling to Falmouth to celebrate with us, we were looking for our own oasis that we could relax in at the end of a day's socialising. And in 6 Bank House we found it, and just what we were looking for.
We had oodles of space for the 3 of us, space to entertain of an evening and have people over for a drink.
The flat is excellently located, with all the things you need for a week (or even 10 days) away. We didn't want for anything.
Myles and Janet even left us a congratulations card and a bottle of wine which was a lovely and unexpected touch.
This flat is everything we were after in a holiday let, and would highly recommend and return to again in the future.
Thank you so much for helping make our first few days as a married couple so relaxing and enjoyable.

Thank you so much! We're glad you enjoyed it and we hope to welcome you back one day.
Falmouth harbour is right on the doorstep and the town's family-friendly sandy beaches are 10 minutes' walk. Cornwall offers a huge choice of beaches within an easy drive, whether you want a bucket and spade beach for small children or surfing beaches.
As well as good road access, Falmouth can be reached by train. A car is not essential during your stay as so much is on hand in Falmouth and there are good local bus services and an excellent ferry network (in season). Plymouth channel ferry port is about 1 1/2 hours drive. Newquay airport is about 50 minutes by car.
The cathedral city of Truro is 11 miles.
National Maritime Museum - 2 mins walk.
Falmouth Art Gallery - 5 mins walk.
Pendennis Castle - 15 mins walk.
Ships & Castles Leisure Centre and fun pool - 15 mins walk.
Many gardens, such as Trebah, and National Trust properties within an easy drive.
Pubs, restaurants and shops are all within a minute of the apartment.
There are two small Tesco stores in the town centre, as well as other convenience stores and grocers. There is a Sainsbury's on the edge of town and a large out-of-town Asda.
