Villa in Parque da Corcovada, Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal - Quiet Location, But Only A 10 Minute Walk To Nightlife, Only A 15 Minute Walk To The Beach

The Villa is situated in Albufeira in an area called Santa Eulalia located not far from the famous Bull Ring and town centre of Albufeira. Take a short walk to enjoy a meal at any one of the many restaurants followed by a night out in the vibrant "Old Town" or on the "Strip" (a road famous for it´s bars and restaurants). The closest beach is Praia de Santa Eulalia, only a 5 minute drive, or at most a 15 minute walk away. The sand is fine and has a bright white colour. It is exceptionally clean and offers beach bars, a small shop and ample parking. Golf, you could argue that The Algarve is the golfing capital of Europe. There are 5 golf courses locally and countless others in the surrounding area. Only a 15 minute drive takes you to the resort of Vilamoura, where you can enjoy many top class courses or enjoy the outstanding marina full of bars, restaurants and shops. Taxis are readily available along with regular buses if required, the train station is around a 10 minute taxi/drive away.

About Wayne

Hi my name is Wayne, I live in the UK with my wife Karen and our two daughters. We bought the Villa a few years ago as we intend to retire to Portugal in 10-15 years time. In the meantime we have wonderful holidays with our families and friends at the Villa. We love the Portuguese people, the food, the wine and the fantastic climate. We have made many new friends in Portugal and always look forward to our next trip. The Villa has been made a home from home, we get out to the Villa about 4-5 times a year and simply love it, we hope you will to.

Why Wayne chose Albufeira

The location, location, location is "great" in relation to transfers from Faro Airport or the local train station. The property is set in a residential area so it's away from the holiday hustle and bustle. However, a very short walk finds you in all the holiday stuff. We love that we can choose to dip into the nightlife or simply chill out around the pool on an evening with a glass of vino and tapas. Sometimes we simply curl up and watch a DVD or some UK TV, usually with a glass of vino. Or we may walk to one of the many local restaurants for a bite to eat and a glass of vino, I think you must be getting the picture by now. Anyway we think our second home offers pretty much what most people want and need on their holidays that’s why we bought it.

What makes this villa unique

The heated pool is amazing, I don't like cold water that’s why I invested in a pool heater. Many Villas simply rely on the sunshine to heat the pool and quite frankly they are freezing apart from in August when the ambient temperature is at it's highest. Our Villa has been furnished to the highest standard, it's our second home not simply a holiday let. You may find a slightly cheaper option, but I guarantee you will struggle to find a property that has been furnished, equipped and maintained as well as ours. We are very proud of our second home and we hope you will visit it again and again "Just Like Us" and many of our guests.

Simply Luxurious

We spent two weeks as a party of 8 in the villa and were impressed from the moment we were welcomed in by Edward and Tom. After a long day travelling, we really appreciated the welcome selection of food and drink left in for supper and breakfast. The villa was furnished beautifully and the vast space inside and outside gave everyone privacy and ample room to relax. The pool is a perfect size and the heating made the midnight dips a pleasure for all. The pool and BBQ area was well-used and was a real sun trap, but there was always respite available on the balconies or under the shade of the canopies where we would enjoy breakfast. Great WiFi and good quality speakers with Bluetooth were added bonuses.Tucked away in a quiet residential location, the villa is surprisingly close to the beaches, restaurants and bars, either down the strip or - better still - in old town Albufeira. Trust me, we were a demanding family with high expectations, but we were suitably impressed. Thanks to you, Wayne and your team, for a wonderful holiday. We were very well looked after and would certainly recommend this to anyone, that is, if we didn't want to keep it a secret just for us... We look forward to coming out again. 5* Highly recommend

Stayed here for a week with friends and was not disappointed. The villa is situated in a quiet location and yet has all local amenities within walking distance. Decorated and equipped to high standards with everything thought out to make you holiday relaxing and enjoyable. Chilling by the poolside listening to music via the sound system or relaxing in the shaded area is perfect for unwinding. Loved it that much returning again in 5 weeks.

Stunning!

We booked the villa for a 1 week stay with our 2 1/2 year old daughter and teenage son and his girlfriend. I have to say that the Villa is stunning. The décor is extremely tasteful (rather like staying in a 5 star hotel!) The accommodation is extremely spacious and would easily sleep 8 people across the 4 double bedrooms.

The property manager Edward was so helpful, he'd even fetched us some basic shopping when we arrived so we could relax!

The location is also great. The Villa is set slightly away from the hustle and bustle, and the area is very peaceful, however, it is also easy walking distance from shops/amenities, and there are plenty of great bars and restaurants all within a few minutes walk! The centre of Albufeira/Old Town is probably around a 20 minute walk, but we only ventured there a couple of times over the week as there was plenty for us close to the Villa.

Beaches are close and as you'd expect in the Algarve are beautiful.

We would highly recommend this Villa and will definitely return in 2016

5* accomidation and a fantastic location

Having recently returned from the above property I can only say good things about it.my self and my partner had a fantastic time in Albufeira. We found the villa to be in a fabulous location. It is set in a very quiet residential area, the shops, bars, restaurants and beach are all within easy walking distance.

The villa its self was as if it had just been built and decorated to a very hi standard. Upon arrival we was greeted by a very nice and friendly management team who showed us around and how things worked and left us with all the contact information we could ask for in the event we needed anything while we was there.

I really recommend staying here in this excellent accommodation

Excellent property and location

We stayed at the villa for a week - there were 5 of us-sisters and friend. I selected the villa as we needed a downstairs bedroom with access for a wheelchair- we were not disappointed.The facilities are excellent and top quality. The pool was rarely empty and we had the benefit of a quiet location but bars were nearby. Thank you to Tom for all your assistance and for your recommendation of the bar at the top of the road. Wayne you are rightly proud of your beautiful property and if I win the lottery ( unless it is £25!) I would buy one in that location .

Another wonderful stay!

Myself and a group of friends decided we fancied a Golfing trip to Portugal, and I was given the task of finding the accommodation. As an all male group, we had various special requests with regards to the sleeping arrangements so I looked at other Villa's first, however having stayed at Villa 14 before (see my earlier review), I couldn't shake the fact it is a wonderful Villa with a fantastic owner. I got in touch with Wayne and he could not have been more accommodating to our circumstances and the requests we made.

I'd made some specific shopping requests ahead of time, I didn't want to get there and have to go straight to the shops so I gave Wayne a list of things we wanted. Again, I wasn't disappointed! On arriving at the Villa we were greeted by Edward who showed us around. I'd been before but I was pleasantly surprised by the changes to the Villa since our previous visit and the investment that had gone into modernising it, even more so than it was before!

It's a beautiful Villa, furnished to an extremely high standard, perfect for those that want a touch of luxury to a holiday. I'm almost embarrassed to think I considered other Villa's first, I should have known better! (Sorry Wayne!)

We only stayed for four days, we had a fantastic trip and when your group is miserable on the final morning when departing, you know you've had a good time! My group were extremely impressed by my choice of Villa and the arrangements that had been made ahead of time. Even though it was just a few days, every effort was made to ensure we had a great stay and for that we are all extremely grateful to Wayne and his team in Portugal. We've all started the ball rolling in getting dates together to go again next year!

The Villa is a cut above the others, enjoy your stay and I'm sure you'll be back again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Coast/Beach:

The closest beach is Praia Santa Eulalia, only a 5 minute drive, or at most a 15 minute walk away. The sand is fine and has a bright white colour. It is exceptionally clean and offers beach restaurants/bars, a small shop and ample car parking. There are many other beaches to enjoy the sunshine or have a bite to eat.

Travel:

Faro Airport is around 30-35 Minutes away by car, around 26 Miles (42 KM) there are many car rental companies based at the airport as well as taxis if required. Albufeira train station is about 4 Miles away (6.5 KM). A car is not always necessary as most amenities are within walking distance of the Villa. There are also local car rental companies within easy walking distance.

Distances:

Albufeira "Old Town" is around 2 miles away, 5 minutes by car/taxi or a 15-20 minute walk . "The Albufeira Strip" is about an 8 minute walk. The Villa is very well placed and peaceful, however, you are not far from the night-life should you choose to dip into it. There are many local bars and restaurants which can also be enjoyed, just a short stroll away.

Further Details:

Local Shops/Supermarkets, Banks, Car Hire, Restaurants, Bars, Take-Aways and Medical Assistance are very close, all within 5-10 Minutes walk. Albufeira is one of the most popular resorts in the Algarve. It is a bustling town, yet still manages to retain much of the original charm and character of its fishing village history. You can explore the Old Town with its maze of narrow white cobbled streets, home to a vast array of shops, bars and restaurants serving traditional and cosmopolitan fare. Albufeira has two beaches: the golden sands of the Town Beach with bars, restaurants and water sports, reached via a tunnel through the cliff side, and Fishermen's Beach with its wide sandy shore often lined with brightly painted fishing boats. To the east of the Old Town is the area known as "The Strip", a multitude of shops, bars, restaurants and clubs running from Montechoro to the beach at Praia da Oura. Situated to the west is the brand new Marina which will provide an interesting and lively alternative venue for eating, drinking and watching the world go by. Visitors can use the popular 5-a-side football pitch. Many working fishing boats and pleasure craft can be seen in the Old Harbour adjoining. A short drive to the west brings you to a selection of delightful coves and long sandy beaches, suitable for diving, snorkelling, surfing and indulging in a variety of other water-sports. The area really does have something for everyone - as well as the many superb golf courses for which the Algarve is famous, there are aqua-parks and zoos, and many attractive villages to explore in the hills behind Albufeira.
