About pauline cobley
Bought Yew Tree Cottage 6 years ago and it forms half the house in which we have lived since 1979. We completely refurbished Yew Tree Cottage as a fully equipped holiday home. Now semi retired and keep a small holding with sheep and chickens. Someone should be around most of the time to help with queries/directions etc.

The perfect break for us and the kids. Recommend Yew Tree Cottage for all!
A beautiful setting with a warm welcome. Lambs and cats to play with, chickens to feed. A superbly kept indoor pool for general use. Well kitted out kitchen with lovely log burning fireplace in the sitting room. Tranquil and quiet. Nearby shop with essentials. Perfect.
Lovely cottage in the Suffolk countryside!
We would like to thank Pauline for her warm greeting to their lovely cottage which is full of historic character. Upon arrival Pauline shown us around the property, grounds and also the indoor swimming pool which we made great use of by the way! We stayed as a family of 4 and we all enjoyed our little break despite being local to Norfolk/Suffolk already. Mum loved having the opportunity to feed the 3-day old baby lambs and my little brother really loved the swimming pool.
We all agreed that we could not fault our stay! Everything about the cottage is well equipped with all the modern utilities alongside original old character of the building, it really works well together.
Wi-Fi Connectivity: Now this is to be expected but do keep in mind that the Internet speeds are purely restricted by what Openreach offer to the property and that really is no more than 0.75Mbps at best! This is something out of the owner's control and so if you need connection out there, bring along an EE or Three 4G SIM card and/or Mi-Fi router and place it in the Window and you'll be just fine, Vodafone and O2 are weak and not too reliable.
Yes we would definitely LOVE to come back and do it all again! Thank you both for a wonderful stay.
We stayed for a weekend break (15th-18th March 2019).
Thank you Russell we are very pleased that you enjoyed your brief holiday and would like to return
Picturesque cozy cottage
A Lovely rural location perfect for a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. It has everything you need to relax with a wonderful welcoming atmosphere. We especially loved the swimming pool and log burner, the only reason for us giving 4 stars is the very weak Wi-Fi and the abundance of flys and ladybirds, that being said we would definitely highly recommend it and hope to come back again.
Apologies that wifi is not as good as in the towns and cities. Cluster flies are unfortunately a problem in the autumn year years has been particularly warm.
Everything fine except for the stairs which were totally inadequate with mobility problems.
Otherwise we had a lovely stay and Pauline and Norman were very welcoming and the cottage was very well equipped
Characterful, comfortable fully equipped cottage.
We had a most wonderful few days in Yew Tree Cottage. Pauline could not have been more friendly and helpful but also gave us complete privacy . The house is most beautifully furnished and filled with character - sloping floors, low beams, four-poster bed( really comfy!), comfortable couches and well equipped with all modern conveniences. It is in a delightful rural location with a lovely old pub serving good meals nearby. There is a fabulous heated pool which we failed to utilize because we were out and about . There is much to see in the area and we could easily have spent at least a week there.!It is wonderful!
So pleased you enjoyed your stay in Yew Tree Cottage and hope to see you again with enough time to enjoy the pool! Pauline and Norman
A relaxing few days in pleasant surroundings.
We enjoyed a restful stay in the comfortable and very well-equipped cottage in the country. Pauline and Norman gave us a warm welcome and could not have been more helpful throughout. We visited Sutton Hoo, Framlingham and other near-by towns and villages. The use of the indoor swimming pool was very much appreciated. We highly recommend the property.
