About Nick

I'm a family man, and a small business owner. This has taught me the importance of customer service and providing them with a service/product which goes above and beyond what was expected. With this property I'm aiming to do the same.

Nick purchased this villa in 2002

Why Nick chose Kimi Aliveri

My parents (Greek father / English Mother) owned a business whereby they helped people buy properties in Greece. This business took them all over Greece, to every island and place of beauty. When it came to buying a property myself they advised that Evia was the most beautiful, peaceful and least touristy part of Greece. I certainly found this to be the case when visiting for myself.

After a long search we found the perfect spot, near to the village of Kymi, on the side of a mountain overlooking the bay. It really is stunning. At the time the land had a small but picturesque stone building on the plot which over the course of the next 7 years we renovated, extended, decorated and added a pool, terraced areas and much more. Many amazing times have been spent here with the family.

What makes this villa unique

The first thing is the remoteness of the location. Although only a 5 minute drive to the nearest village and shops, it feels like you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This is the perfect place to come if you want a relaxing and quiet holiday in the sun.

The property has everything you would ever need: Heated swimming Pool, 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large open plan kitchen diner with all mod cons, outdoor seated terrace, Wifi broadband internet (throughout the entire property), outdoor barbecue, air con.

For those wishing to venture out, there are some amazing beaches ranging from 5-30 mins drive away. Walking in the mountains also provides you with some breathtaking views. There are also lots of local taverna's, bars and restaurants.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Vera Smith - As a 70 year old ,I had the downstairs bedroom, which was perfect. I could wander about on the top terrace, as it was all on the level, with wonderful views. A perfect holiday.

Fred and Wendy - Idyllic setting, quiet and so relaxing. The villa had everything we needed. Wendy loved the warm water in the swimming pool

Beverley Massey - A beautiful house nestling on the side of a mountain with great views. Very quiet, great for a peaceful relaxing holiday. Loved sitting in the sun by the swimming pool. Somewhat remote, you need a car if you want to go to the beach, or explore further afield.

Beautiful view, charming villa

  • 5 of 5

We had the most relaxing and wonderful week at the stone villa. The view is unbelievable and the outdoor area is where we spent most of our time. The inside of the house is charming and well stocked. Linda was very welcoming and helpful throughout our visit!

Beautiful villa

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous holiday in the beautiful Little Stone villa. Stunning views of the mountains, coastline and valley. Wonderful pool and the villa has everything you need. We were well looked after by Linda, the owner, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Off the beaten track, so an appropriate car is a must. We thoroughly recommend this villa.

A Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

Little Stone Villa is a hidden gem in a wonderful part of Greece.

The villa itself nestles on a south facing slope of a spectacular and surprisingly lush green valley with breathtaking views of hill-top villages, rugged mountain scenery, and, apparently almost within reach, the inviting azure sea. You could (we did) happily spend hours just drinking in the vista from the very comfortable terrace with dining table and chairs.

Below the house and terrace, reached by a short flight of steps, is the pool area that is at once secluded and private, but also offers a slightly different and very spectacular angle on the view. The pool, while not deep, is a good size. The loungers are comfortable and the two large shades ample. You could (we did) easily spend all day here by the pool.

But there are excellent beaches, walks and other attractions nearby too.

The house is well laid out with comfortable furnishings and an especially well equipped kitchen.

Linda, the lovely owner, met us at the ferry terminal and guided us to the house - we'd never have found it otherwise. She is a font of knowledge about the local area and a warm and welcoming host.

If you want a taste of Greece that's a little off the beaten track, yet easy to get to, and with pretty much all you could want within pretty easy reach - you'll love this place!

Our week here was wonderful and will linger in the memory. We'd love to come back...

We (myself, wife and two grown-up daughters) stayed at Little Stone Cottage for a week in April 2018. We were blessed with wonderful weather which enhanced the spectacular views from the property.

The property is maintained and equipped to a very high standard and the locality was very peaceful and, while we were there, 'non-touristy'. We didn't see another British tourist all week!

We thoroughly recommend guided walks from Nico, a delightful chap with in depth knowledge of local nature.

We will return (frequently)

Perfect stay at beautiful peaceful villa

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Little Stone Vila at the end of June. It was exactly like we have imagined and had looked for.

It was on peaceful location in nature with the view on sea. House was spacious and with all equipment which is needed to have a cozy relaxed stay. There is even supply of basic ingredients and food. You can also find there a lot of books and games for children (if it does happen in rare circumstances that they want to go from the pool or terrace, where is a lot of lego cubes).

Terrace and place around house were breath-taking. So many flowers, everything in order and everything done with great sense of care.

Swimming pool area. Outstanding! Quite big swimming pool with nice surroundings and unique views on the valley and sea. Unforgettable.

Linda (the owner) is making all story even more perfect and complete. She is there to pick you up, she is there to help you whenever you need something and the most important, she has a lot to tell and she is really a great person.

We did enjoy a lot and we do hope so we will come back one day.

Special interest holidays:

Anyone into walking or rambling would love the walks in the mountains.

A 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the nearest beach. There are many beaches near to the house and we can give you details about the best ones to visit.

From Athens airport It is 1 hour to Skala Oropos where you board a ferry which takes you to Eretria on the island of Evia, (the ferry journey takes approx. 25 minutes). From Eretria to Enoria it is about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car. We recommend you hire a car for this journey. This will also mean you have flexibility to trips to the shops/restaurants/beach should you want to whilst staying at The Little Stone Villa.

Kymi - local village - 1 mile

Kymi port - 1 mile

Local shops/bars and restaurant - 1 mile

Nearest beach - 2 miles

Lidl Supermarket - 10 miles

Athens - nearest city - 80 miles

Winter Stays @ Little Stone Villa:

The villa has oil fired central heating and a open log fire (logs provided). The pool can be heated, should you wish to swim.

During the the winter months, you will not get the scorching sun that Greece is famous for. Occasionally we have rain and snow, but it is short lived. With a slight nip in the air, we have beautiful blue skys. Perfect for walking and exploring the local area.

We are now working in conjunction with Sylvia Piango a local lady who speaks Greek, English and German. With her extensive knowledge of the area she can organise walking days to suit your requirements, trips to the olive press, boat excursions, scoober diving, and could accompany you to one of the many festivals in the villages around Kimi.
