Villa in the heart of Maspalomas, - self contained, Secluded, Quiet, Private, Very Close To Maspalomas Beach/Sand Dunes, Shops, Restaurants, Golf,
Ideally situated, the villa is a short walk from the sand dunes, the protected lagoon and the long beautiful Maspalomas beach which stretches along the coast from the nearby Faro lighthouse as well as the cafes and shops of Melonares. It is a stunning private upmarket hacienda style villa with TV/DVD/WiFi/stereo etc, and features an expansive garden (perfect for sunbathing) including its own private solar heated swimming pool with jacuzzi feature, landscapped with bougainvillea, flowers and shrubs. Yet all the modern facilities (restaurants, supermarkets, taxis etc) may be found less than a 5 minute walk. The villa is a 3/4 minute drive from the busy nightlife of the Yumbo, Cita and Kasbah centres in Playa del Ingles as well as close to all the main holiday attractions; Holiday World Fairground, Aqualand, Sioux City, Perla Canaria, Go Karting, Jeep Safaris and Camel tours. The main Maspalomas golf course is a 2 minute stroll from the front door!

The villa is my personal holiday home. It is available on a tenancy basis for part of the year; and is therefore not simply a holiday rental as such. I am retired from a career in the music business and have recently completed a postgraduate degree in literature and drama from Kings College, University of London. I have been a regular visitor to Gran Canaria for over 30 years.

Beautiful Hacienda style villa
This beautiful Hacienda style villa is set in a quiet location, benefitting from a lovely private garden and pool.
The villa has everything you need for a comfortable stay and really feels like home.
The beach is 15-20 min walk away and has gorgeous beach side restaurants, bars and shops. There are also some more lovely restaurants and bars just 5 minutes away with a well stocked supermarket.
This is our 2nd visit to the villa and we will definitely be returning. We cannot fault it at all ❤️
Did the job for October sun
The villa is in the middle of a strange place and walk five minutes up the road to the local supermarket and you will see the infrastructure is beginning to crumble. The mini supermarket opposite stocks a small range of things but don't go in there with kids as the adult section has a full range! I had forgotten about the 400 euros needed to be provided to the lady who looks after the villa upon arrival as this was not mentioned again after I had booked over six months before. This didn't start the holiday well. Maspolomas seafront has some nice restaurants which is about 20mins on foot and the tapas place through the alley opposite the villa was also good. The villa could have been a little cleaner and charging for the use or not of the air conditioning seems ridiculous and most of the charges should just be added to the hire costs when first booking. I can only speculate why this is not done! The water park was great and I would recommend this for families
Thank you for your comments Andrew. I was sorry to see some of your reactions.You say the villa is in a 'strange area'. It is in fact situated on a quiet palm tree lined avenue (in Campo International) in the very centre and heart of Maspalomas with all major holiday amenities situated very close by and roughly equidistant. This affords a little peace and isolation from the noisier commercialized parts of the different holiday zones, especially late at night, and yet they too remain easily accessible if required..
I also note that you had forgotten the full details of the booking you had made six months prior to arriving and that this affected the start of your holiday.
In particular you had not remembered the refundable deposit of €400 which was payable on arrival at the villa and which had been agreed as part of your rental agreement when you booked the villa.We do try our absolute best in all our advance correspondence, advertising and literature to ensure all our guests are fully aware of everything in advance.
Really lovely villa in quiet area (but not so quiet you cant be out late!) Nice pool and garden is a sun trap which is fab if like me you want to tan! Stocked with all basic things you need. Had a fab time there.
Wonderful stay. Many happy hours around the pool.
Everything we needed was there. Very comfortable indeed. A great property, didn't really need a car. Would love another visit.

The villa is well equipped in the kitchen and the library is an amazing space to find a book or DVD if your having a chill night.
If nightlife is more your thing then your very central to either Maspalomas restaurants or of course playa del ingles. We loved our trips into the yumbo centre on nights then being able to sleep it off during the day in the villa 😎

An oasis of calm
A fabulous, relaxing week in an amazingly well equipped villa. We (2 adults, 1 teen and 1 eleven year old) all loved the private salt water pool with Jacuzzi facility and also made full use of the larger shared pool which is for use of residents only and was usually empty as most villa's have a private pool. We picked limes from the garden for our drinks and were happy to self cater as the kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need, including dishwasher, microwave and washing machine! Every where was spotlessly clean and fixtures and fittings were high quality. Maspolamas beach is walkable, and we did go once but quite honestly everything we needed was provided at the villa. Playa des Ingles is nearby for nightlife but, again, we didn't feel the need to venture far. Opposite the villa is a very small shop which was overpriced but ok if you are desperate, head to one of the big supermarkets for more reasonable prices..under 5€ in a taxi. Loved evenings dining on the terrace and relaxing in the beautiful garden. Bev, who cares for the villa, was only a text away and replied to us almost instantly, happy to help us and Colin, the villa owner, was as quick to reply to my emails and could not have been kinder or more helpful. I would highly recommend this villa if you want to totally relax and unwind. We would definitely hire it again.
Special interest holidays: Fishing and sailing from the port of Mogan about 20 minutes drive. Coast/Beach: Main beaches of Maspalomas and Melonares about 5 - 10 minutes walk.The beach at Maspalomas stretches for about 7 km along the coast, backed up by the largest area of sand-dunes in Europe, skirted by restaurants and small bars along its entire length but retaining its essential natural beauty. The nearby lagoon, like the dunes, is a protected area for wildlife, rare plants and birds, and water teeming with fish. Perfect for long walks along the coastline and spectacular views of the mountains. Travel: Las Palmas airport is 15 to 20 minutes by car or taxi. Distances: The villa is in a quiet and residential area in the centre of the most upmarket part of the holiday resort of Maspalomas. Surrounded by palm lined avenues, the villa is within a few minutes walk or drive of all the attractions Gran Canaria has to offer. Further Details: Several restaurants, supermarket, shops, bank, car and bike rental outlets within a 5 minute walk.

CHANGE-OVER AND FEES PAYABLE LOCALLY Saturday - generally - prices quoted cover up to 6 people commencing on Saturday. Bookings run for 7 or 14 days. We can occasionally offer alternative changeover days. 'REFUNDABLE' DEPOSIT AND ADDITIONAL 'MANDATORY' FEES The price rates above comprise the 'Basic Rental' of the house. A 25% deposit is payable on reservation and secures your chosen dates with the balance then payable 10 weeks prior to commencement. Credit and debit cards accepted via Owners Direct Direct Booking who add a "Service Fee" of between 4% and 8% calculated on a sliding scale and payable with the initial payment . Despite the statement "No mandatory fees" next to "Fees" (above), there are actually some additional fees payable, but since they vary and are payable in cash for services provided locally at the villa it has been impossible toitemise them accurately under the Fees headline pricing. To make this simple we ask for a Damage/Cleaning/Utility Deposit of €400 (or £360 ) per booking payable in cash on arrival, from which we deduct these fees before refunding the balance within 2 weeks of your stay.. The fees are the cost of the final clean (including laundry) at the end of your stay (set at €150), and also actual utility usage - electricity, water, rates, and rubbish collection - relating to your visit - usually just under €10 per day. We provide a detailed accounting with the refund of your deposit when you return home. These variable fees effectively increase the Basic Rental charge quoted above, by approximately €220 euros per week (or about £190 ) and by €290 euros (about £250) per fortnight to give the all inclusive rate per visit - this inclusive price is quoted in any offer or quotation we make for the avoidance of any doubt.
