This award winning Farm Complex, which has been lovingly restored, is situated in a country style location within 20 mins walking distance to St. Ives. The farmhouse has a delightful south facing Mediterranean style conservatory leading through to an open planned lounge with inglenook wood burning stove, and dining room following through to painted wooden beamed kitchen with additional conservatory, looking out to lawned gardens with views to the sea.

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, 2 with twin beds, 1 with double bed, and 1with kingsize bed. There is 1 main bathroom with shower over bath, and a separate shower room with toilet and basin plus downstairs toilet /shower room.

This large spacious farmhouse offers a lot of inside and outside area to be enjoyed, with trampoline, table tennis & barbeque in garden and pool table in games room. There are lots of varied country walks to explore. There is parking for 3 cars.

When we first came to st Ives we fell in love with the picturesque harbour town surrounded by golden beaches, surf, sunsets, fishing, country,woodland and coastal walks. It is renown as an artist colony and now has it's own Tate gallery. There truly is something for everyone and all within close proximity of hendra farmhouse.

Why June Robinson chose Cornwall

We have lived with our 3 children in Hendra Farmhouse for 25 years and enjoyed the space it gave us but now that our children are grown up and fled the nest!! we no longer need such a large home, so we now live in our summer house adjacent.

We have also extended the kitchen with another conservatory, giving us an under cover chill out area looking up to the garden where there is a table tennis and trampoline area.

We also enjoy the distance from St. Ives allowing us to be in the countryside while only minutes drive or 20 minute walk from picturesque St. Ives.

Can't think of anywhere better.

Fabulous property

WOW, Hendra farm exceeded all expectations, a beautiful, well-equipped, clean, well-maintained, home-from-home farmhouse, it had EVERYTHING you could possibly need!

Lounge with comfy sofas & big TV, smaller games room with TV, billiard table, lots of books and board games. Dining area with large farmhouse table that would seat 8+, large very well-equipped kitchen with additional dining area and views over the beautiful garden, separate utility area with large sink and washing machine, plus 4 bedrooms with good storage space and 3 bathrooms/shower rooms, not forgetting the beautiful sunny conservatory at the front. Lovely garden with plenty of seating, table tennis, trampoline, barbeque. Very peaceful location and you can walk directly onto the open fields and woodland with sea views and beautiful sunsets and walk down to St. Ives in about 20 minutes.

Wi-fi also very reliable - which can be rare for Cornwall!

It really is suitable for anyone and everyone, we had a family of 8 people and the kids loved it.

June & Dave are lovely, genuine people, were very welcoming and have thought of everything and we thank you so much for a fabuolous week in your beautiful farmhouse!

Beautiful farmhouse in Cornwall

We arrived and everything was just perfect. The farmhouse is better in reality to what we were expecting from the lovely photo's. Much more spacious and it's been an absolutely beautiful place to stay for the week. I can see why people visit Hendra Farm year after year! We had beautiful weather during our stay and enjoyed lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area. Very picturesque.

Hendra Farm - Wonderful!

Our group ages ranged from 18 to 70 years and there was something for everyone. The pool table, trampoline and table tennis table provided immense fun, while the conservatory and garden seating with views of the sea provided superb relaxation. Impossible to go hungry with the well equipped kitchen and outdoor barbeque and excellent local pubs. Beyond the farmhouse, excellent walking and surfing, with St Ives and the surrounding attractions, offering interest and variety. We felt very welcome and we appreciated the high standard of the farmhouse. Hendra Farm is one of the best holidays we have ever had - I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Hendra Farm WOW

WOW.... What an amazing place, the Farmhouse is lovely and a complete feeling of home from home when you enter the door. The location was great, 10-15 minutes walk to the beach/town, in a lovely location very peaceful relaxing.

The conservatory was lovely in the mornings with the sun beaming in, the garden was lovely in the afternoons and views of St Ives Bay were breathtaking. The location was great, with fields and a single track lane to walk down to the beach/town, we had an amazing time. Our family ranged from 4Yrs to 91Yrs old and we loved every minute of our stay.

We would certainly recommend and would love to come back and visit the area and stay at the farmhouse again soon.

We are only a short drive (5min) away from porthmeor, porthminster and carbis bay beaches. Or you can leisurely stroll down Steeple lane which is always enjoyable, especially if you take a a short cut through gate farther down lane leading into Tregenna Castle, which has delightful grounds and gardens, you can meander down to the left of hotel and this will bring you down to a gate where you can cross the road and head down to Porthminster beach or head into St.Ives.

Travel:

Plane: fly to - Newquay airport (50min drive from St. Ives)

- London airport (6 hours drive from St. Ives)

car: M5 leading to the A30 through Cornwall into St Ives

train: arrive in St.Erth and change onto St.Ives line

ferry: closest ferry port is Plymouth, 1.5 hours away.

Distances:

It's 1.5 miles to St.Ives harbour front with restaurants, cafes, art galleries including the Tate. From hendra farm you will reach the main road (A30) immediately without needing to go through St.Ives town.

Further Details:

There are a good choice of quality restaurants and stylish shops but if you like a change from the hustle and bustle of St. Ives town we recommend a walk up to the ancient "Knills Monument" 200 mtrs. from hendra, where you catch striking views to Godrevy Lighthouse and Gwithian Sands and hike through the Steeple Woodland Nature Reserve.

There is a local tesco's supermarket nearby, just off the main road before Steeple Lane, which makes shopping really easy.

There is also a well equipped leisure centre and horse riding nearby

Notes on accommodation: The wood burning fire in lounge can be lit as well as central heating, on the odd cooler day, to create that nice cosy setting. Although we accept well behaved dogs on request, we appreciate them being kept downstairs at all times (we remind you that no dogs are allowed on most of St. Ives beaches). Outside: The house is surrounded by a well-established garden. There are outdoor seating facilities both on the lawn and decking. Table tennis and barbecue are provided. Utility Room: There is a utility room where you find the washing machine and an extra sink. From there you can walk out into the back garden where you will find drying area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are provided and included in the price per week and will be changed weekly, you will however need to bring your own beach towels Other: Indoor games room with Pool table and additional TV with DVD and iPod dock.
