About Nicholas Connell
I spent several years painstakingly restoring this Provençal mas to its former glory, with a few essential mod cons like the heated pool, air conditioning and a kitchen fit for an amateur chef (that would be me). I restored this house to bring together my grown up family in a beautiful, peaceful surrounding where adults and children can have fun, relax and enjoy the surroundings. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Why Nicholas Connell chose Montmeyan
This area of Provence is stunning - on the one side we have traditional Provence with picturesque villages, olive trees, truffles, lavender and wonderful tastes in the bustling markets, on the other side, the stunning and spectacular views and excitement of the Verdun Gorges.
What makes this Villa unique
Wander up to the village for your bread in the morning and don't forget to stop for a leisurely coffee at the local café. Stroll through the woods in the afternoon and return for a leisurely swim. Or for the more energetic, take a boat ride down the gorges, try a kayak or the white water rafting, go horse riding at the friendly stables nearby, or visit one of the many beautiful towns on market day, not forgetting to stop for a local meal and a glass of wine.

Beautiful holiday home
Gorgeous and spacious home with lovely grounds and views. The house is very private but only a couple of minutes drive (also walkable) from a small village. Lots to do in the area including the very impressive Gorges du Verdon. All bedrooms are spacious and we really appreciated that there was A/C in every room as it was very hot during our stay. Nick and Naomi kindly provided a good quality cot, high chair and changing mats for our baby (much nicer than the travel cots often provided) and the heated pool was also a great temperature for our little boy. Kitchen is well equipped and there are loads of options for places to sit/lounge, including lots of sun beds.
The property was beautiful on the outside and in. We had such a lovely time and made great use of the kitchen and living room, enjoying our time there. The views were magical and it felt like stepping back in time. It was such a peaceful holiday and lived up to every expectation I had! I would go back again in a heart beat!
Beautiful property with breathtaking views
An absolutely lovely place to stay with friends of family. We rented a car and explored the region and were lucky to get some sun. There is lots to do in the area. We hired a boat and took a trip through the gorge and always found a delicious restaurant not too far away. The house is traditional and spacious. We had a room and a shower each! Would definitely go back!!

Traditional villa perfect for a relaxing holiday
Very private location only a short drive from any shops you might need. The host left us a very helpful and detailed bundle on any local activities we could do and we were blown away by the gorges de verdon which were only 10 minutes away. There are numerous spots to relax in - by the pool, under the shade of the pergola, or on sun beds on an elevated platform. The house has been designed with such detail and effort you will find it hard to not enjoy all that this villa has to offer!
We had the most amazing time at the Provençal Villa. It had the most beautiful views of whole of Montemayan, and the spacious villa was perfect for our big group. The pool was perfect and the villa had everything we could have wanted. It was also very clean and the customer service was wonderful. Will defintely reccomend to all.
