We have continued our theme of merging sleek modern touches with the innate charm of historical Prague in this elegant city centre apartment. We hope to have captured a unique style and elegance as well as offering value for money. Much thought and care has gone into the decoration and choice of locally sourced antiques which are used to highlight original features such as high ceilings, original doors, windows and parquet floors. This city-centre two-bedroom Prague apartment has two large bedrooms, a spacious living room with flat screen TV, Satellite and DVD. There is a separate toilet and large bathroom. The apartment also has a balcony where you can enjoy a relaxing evening drink or morning coffee.

About Ilan & Veronika Morris + UK contact

My wife and I currently own and manage a total of six Prague apartments. We bought our first Prague apartment in 2004 and since then we have made a further two purchases. We started focusing on short-term rentals in 2008 after renovating our first apartment, the four-bedroom 97558.

We also sublease three apartments in lessor and Old Town and view leasing as an important way to expand our business. It enables us to focus on the most prime locations in the city that boast spectacular and unique views of some of Prague’s most iconic attractions.

My wife has 10 years experience in high-level hotel management and her experience in this sector has proved invaluable in professionalizing our business. All our apartments are renovated and/or decorated with a boutique style, using authentic, antique and vintage furnishings collected and added by my wife.

We take great time and care acquiring our furnishings in an effort to create a unique and original experience for our customers. We feel it is important to differentiate ourselves from the ‘four walls and Ikea furniture’ format which is standard in many holiday-let apartments in Prague.

We prefer to focus on a lower number of apartments so that we can maintain and develop each of them with an attention to detail true to our boutique style and principles of quality over quantity.

Our apartments are cleaned and maintained to the highest level and our improvements in both comfort and decor are ongoing. Since we started in 2008 our six apartments have acquired 360 five star reviews on HomeAway and average five stars across two other major sites with additional 300 reviews.

In future we would like to expand our portfolio taking on more renovation projects which focus on converting historical apartments into high-performing holiday rentals. All our renovations aim to capture the spirit and character of the building/ apartment being restored and only take on projects where we feel this can be achieved to the highest end.

Parking can be arranged in paid-for secure parking lots 5 mins near the apartment. Taxi transportation can be arranged also with our friendly and reliable taxi company, who will pick you up directly from the airport and take you to the apartment. Groups of up to 4 cost 25 Euro, groups of up to 8 cost 35 Euro. Our drivers all speak English are friendly and will be able to give you advice bout Prague during your journey. The owner/representative will then meet you at the apartment to provide you with further information about your stay and the city.

convenient location and large bedrooms

This flat was walking distance to many important Prague sights: old town, St. Wencesles Square, Charles Bridge and Mala Strana among others. Also there are a lot of good restaurants nearby, including Art and Food and Pastar. The owner, Ilan checked us in with no problems and was very helpful with ordering us a taxi on our last day. The only drawback is that the main bathroom does not have a full toilet but a urinal. To use a toilet one has to walk through the living room to a tiny bathroom off of the front entry. Not that convenient but not a super problem for us. The bed was very comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep after walking all the streets and hills during the day. Also we had no problem with street noise. We kept the windows closed because the nights were cool so we didn't hear anyone on the street even though there are two bars nearby. Overall this flat was a great find.

Lovely apartment, great location, friendly and helpful owners

The apartment is excellent and very good value for money. Ilan and Veronika were friendly and helpful, they arranged our airport transfers and told us to get in touch if we needed any help. Loved the location just a short walk from the Charles bridge and tourist attractions. There are plenty of good reasonably priced places to eat and drink on the doorstep. There's a very good free walking tour that leaves from the old town square several times a day. Great city lots to see .

Excellent apartment!!

Our family stayed in this lovely apartment for a week and were very pleased. The apartment is in a great location that is close enough to many of the tourist sites. The apartment is also in a neighbourhood that is quiet especially at night. The apartment suite itself is very clean and feels open with the high ceilings. There is plenty of space to accommodate a family of four. The kitchen had everything you'd need to make meals at home. There is a fair sized grocery store(Tesco) about a 10-15 minute walk away. The beds are comparable to other European VRBO's we've stayed in. It was nice that the apartment had a balcony which we enjoyed every night. The owners of the apartment were very easy to deal with from booking to checking in. Friends of the owners checked us in and were very helpful and gave us some tips on places to go. We would definitely stay here again. We would also recommend it to our friends and family.

Extraordinary apartment an absolute delight

A stunning apartment which we easily found on foot after getting the train from the airport. We were greeted by Ilan who was a fountain of knowledge and we enjoyed many of his foodie recommendations throughout our stay. It was the perfect base for our group which comprised of 4 adults and an 18 month old who really appreciated the spacious rooms. The apartment was well equipped and a very comfortable base for exploring all areas of Prague by foot. It was so good, we have booked to visit again!

Like living in an elegant grand salon

I can't say enough about this lovely property - it is SO beautiful and even more spacious than it appears on the website. The 12 foot ceilings add to the overall feeling of elegance - yet the apartment is very comfortable and inviting. My husband, a very good friend and I stayed in the apartment during our week-long stay in Prague. We were checked in by Hana who gave us expert information on the apartment, the attractions nearby and great restaurants in the area. The separate shower/bath room and toilet areas gave us more privacy - the washing machine in the one room was welcome after a week in Amsterdam. The furniture and accessories were chosen to add to the sophisticated look of the rooms - attention to detail made the visit SO special. We had a slight problem with the coffee maker during our visit, and a new one was dropped off almost immediately -- wonderful customer service. They are wonderful hosts.

Ilan had arranged for Prague Airport Transfer to pick us up from the airport and drop us off as we left -- it couldn't have been any easier. They were professional and very economical. I recommend them highly.

The apartment is very well situated on a side street with a wide variety of restaurants and bars nearby -- but the apartment remains very quiet. Some of our favorite restaurants were Louvre, Dynamo Restaurant and Pizzeria Kmotra -- all very close to the apartment, and each with a blend of traditional Czech food as well as other European specialties. We were amazed at the prices --VERY inexpensive, yet amazingly tasty. We never had a bad meal -- or a so-so glass of wine or beer! We did so much walking while in Prague, that we didn't even gain weight after enjoying so many great meals.

The apartment is just three short blocks off the main hub street in the city. This road acts as a major link for buses, trams and gets you to convenient subway stops and tourist sights. It is easy to find transportation tickets that can buy you unlimited rides (even on the funicular) for 24 or 72 hours. It gives you flexibility and eliminates having to use the machines in the subway that can be a bit confusing to someone who does not speak Czech -- I had trouble using my card, and I have a chip and pin card. It was probably me!

I highly recommend Ilan and Veronika's lovely apartment, and if we're ever in Prague again, we will definitely rent one of their places again -- we will also tell our friends who may plan a trip there after seeing our photo's.

This central down-town Prague apartment is located in a historical building in Prague 1, steeped in history. Hidden away from the main tourist bustle you will find the area has a local feel, yet it is cetral enough to allow easy access to all the main attractions. The national theatre is a 5 min walk as is the famous Café Louvre, which Einstein once frequented. Prague's most well-known restaurant and brewery, U Fleku, is a 2 min walk up the street. This is the oldest brewery in central Europe and has been brewing beer for over 500 years. A beautiful walk through the winding, cobbled streets around the apartment, which abound with ornate restaurants shops and cafes, will take you in 5 min to the Vltava river from where can enjoy a pleasant 5-10 min walk along the river to the Charles Bridge. A few mins walk from the apartment will also take you to Narodni Trida and Wenceslas square. From Narodni Trida you can catch the number 22 tram to the castle and Mala Strana.
