About Ski Summit

We are keen skiers and lovers of Courchevel and the Three Valleys area. We have been taking holidays here since 1992, and we have been renting the Les Sapins apartment since 1999. In that time we have provided accommodation to over a hundred clients, many of whom return year on year. We aim to provide a more personal service than larger operators, and we're happy to discuss the individual needs of clients and offer recommendations regarding other services in the resort, transfers, parking, etc.

Ski Summit purchased this apartment in 1999

Why Ski Summit chose Saint-Bon-Tarentaise

We chose the apartment because of its good position in the centre of the resort, a short walk from the Bellecote piste and two minutes from the central lift station, and within easy walking distance of supermarkets, boutiques, ski-hire shops, plus the bars, restaurants and clubs which make up Courchevel’s legendary après ski scene. Though it's central, it's also removed from the main drag, so it's quiet at night.

As for the skiing, the central lift station gives access to a myriad of easy, intermediate and more challenging skiing, with the 1650, Meribel and La Tania areas easily reachable and also Val Thorens can be visited within the skiing day. Whatever your ability level, the Three Valleys is a skiing paradise.

What makes this apartment unique

Being at the top of Courchevel's four levels, the apartment location offers the best skiing on your doorstep without lengthy lift rides. It's quick and easy to get to the top of the ski area and enter the other valleys, but you can ski down lower and take the lifts or the free bus service to get back up. The bus service is also useful for visiting bars and restaurants in the lower levels in the evenings.

Great location, clean and tidy

Could park right outside- big bonus. Short walk to lifts each morning - 5 mins. Everything close to hand, shops, bars supermarket etc. Apartment was big enough for the 4 of us. Very clean and tidy with all we needed.

A great apartment in a perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

This spacious studio apartment met all my expectations for a comfortable, warm and convenient place for my week skiing holiday. The place has been recently modernised is immaculate. The cooking and dining facilities for a self contained holiday are just right. An outside balcony provides a pleasant sitting out area but has limited views.

A short walk from the apartment block took me right into the main lift area of the resort from where the choice of skiing routes is amazing. It is also only a short walk to the public transport, shops, supermarkets and restaurants of the town.

The owners have an extensive knowledge of the area and they provided me with all the information I needed about the resort, ski hire, lift pass deals, including helpful advice on ski bus transport from Geneva Airport.

I would highly recommend this accommodation for a successful skiing holiday in Courchevel 1850.

Ideal spot! Great service

  • 5 of 5

This is probably the best experience I've had renting an apartment for a holiday. It was exactly as described and the owner was very helpful and communicative. The place was immaculate, perfect for two people and in an amazing location. Everyday we grabbed our skis from the locker and a short walk had us a brief ski right to all the lifts in the heart of the resort. The owner provided loads of information at the outset and answered all questions promptly.

My only downside would be that the mattress of the double bed/fold out couch was pretty rough on our backs. We ended up using the single bed mattress which were very nice. I don't have a bad back but this is something to be aware of. Overall a great experience!

A great little find in Courchevel

  • 4 of 5

This is a great little apartment well equipped close to the Piste. I would have no hesitation in returning. In high season I suspect you could ski down from the piste to the apartment in good snow conditions.

The Accommodation - A clean well maintained apartment. It has been recently updated with new floors and kitchen which has a new combo-microwave, 2 ring hob and fridge with ice box. Well equipped with quality kitchenware, utensils and pans. No toaster for toast fans. Take your own hairdryer. Double locks on doors, private ski locker. Rear facing village view is nice with balcony, trees and rustic buildings. The bathroom has not been updated but very functional and surprisingly roomy. I am not good in small spaces but coped here. Storage not bad for apartment size. Compact and bijou with, dining table, a sofa bed we left made up all the time and two bunks we did not need but used for dressing area. Lots of light options too. Some hotels or apartments are dimly light. Heating was adequate.

Free local wifi even with patchy availability is always a bonus.

Owners were friendly, professional helpful & attentive even in the mids of a family crisis. I would recommend this for an affordable self catering option to ski in 1850.

The area - Courchevel with it's high end shopping boutiques and Oligarch customers is an expensive resort to stay in but the facilities are excellent. Even the Spar Store can charge 7 Euros for an out of season peach. However the Le Refuge Restaurant was by far the most reasonable place to eat cost wise, servicing locals, for evenings and lunches. Fresh delicious food , great selection, and service. Steak Tatar delicious!

I feel I should not really be giving this a great review to maximise availability for myself but my conscience tells me not to be so selfish. We normally stay in Le Praz but the prices became inhibitive. We could consider a second visit in the season with this accommodation since the cost was half the price of previous visits in this resort. Enjoy!

Owner's Response: Glad you had an enjoyable stay, macski! True, there is no toaster, but toast, crumpets, croissants etc. can be done using the grill element of the combi oven. Also true that the 1850 supermarkets can be expensive, but there are much better value alternatives nearby, such as the Carrefour in 1650 – accessible using the free bus service – and there are many reasonably priced restaurants and bars on the lower levels too (try La Cortona for great pizza in 1550). If you have a car, stocking up on food and drink in Moutiers is also a good idea!
