Modern detached lakeside villa, near to Ou Kaapse Weg, surrounded by a peaceful nature reserve set in a secure development. Private jetty for fishing or use of boat. Private pool 7 x 3.5m - recently refurbished with pool cover and IN ADDITION OUR BOREHOLE WATER SUPPLY MEANS THAT IN EVEN TIMES OF DROUGHT, WE ARE ALWAYS ABLE TO KEEP THE POOL FILLED.

Outdoor eating area with Weber BBQ. The villa is a 30 minute drive from Cape Town with its many attractions, 40 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Constantia wine areas and only away minutes from the start of the famous drive around Chapmans Peak towards Hout Bay, part of the well known Argos cycle race held in March. Westlake and Steenberg Golf Club are 15 minutes drive over Ou Kaaps Weg and Clovelly Golf club is nearby. Noordhoek is surrounded by gorgeous beaches - some wild and some ideal for family swimming (Fish Hoek), Kommetjie beach is a surfers paradise and great walks. Noorhoek village which is 5 minutes drive has some lovely restaurants and quirky gift shops. In the opposite direction is the long beach mall, great for food shopping and general goods. Non smoking.

We have 3 bedrooms - the main bedroom with ensuite bathroom and reaching views across the lake and patio doors leading out to the pool. The second bedroom is a very large twin room with plenty of space to put blow up beds for children with again - far reaching views across the lake and its own patio doors into the garden.

the third bedroom is a smaller twin room but still a good size. The family bathroom accommodates the second and third bedroom.

This property would suit two families with children but not eight adults.

The rest of the property is open planned with plenty of light and lots of room to find a quiet spot.

We have high speed internet fibre connection - a must for today's holiday makers.

About Trish Allen

We are now entering our 6th season at our beautiful home in Noordhoek and enjoyed having people from all around the world - as far as Australia and America and all over Europe and of course around the UK and a lot of local South Africans too. As we swing into our 2017/18 season, we hope our new guests, and our returning guests have a really enjoyable stay in our little piece of paradise. The South African pace of life, the food, the climate and value for money. Not forgetting of course the spectacular scenery! As I write this in October - the sun is shining and its 27 degrees and despite a severe water shortage in Cape Town which we must all respect - I am pleased to say that our swimming pool won't have to shut due to how we receive our water supply. It was built in the last 12 years with such thought to making the most of the location. The lay out of the house is exceptional with the communal rooms in the centre of the house and bedrooms on either side, making space and privacy for those who wish to 'get away' from the others on occasions! The sun room and dining room can be partitioned off. The master bedroom has air-conditioning and a ceiling fan, while the twin room has a ceiling fan. The main living room area and kitchen have air conditioning. Please note that this is a non smoking property. Games and a selection of DVD's are available. The master bedroom has a safe and hairdryer. Please note that no pets are allowed. The garden leads directly down to the lake and there is a low hedge between the garden and waters edge. Although this separates the lake from the garden, care should be taken with young children. Outside: Outside,there is a shaded and sheltered patio area with table and 6 chairs for outside dining. The ceiling can be adjusted to control the amount of sun shining through. 2 comfy outdoor chairs and a 2 seater sofa. 4 sun loungers. There is a 7 x 3.5m unheated private pool with a well insulated cover, which is approximately 6 foot deep at one end. Grassy area leads down to the jetty and the lake, from where you can fish or you can use the kayak at your own risk. A Webber BBQ is available to use. Please note that any fishing, sailing and swimming in the pool is done at your own risk and a disclaimer will need to be signed on the contract form. Utility Room: Sink, dishwasher, washing machine, and laundry equipment. Tumble dryer is in garage which has internal door from utility. Outdoor area with clothes line. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included. For stays longer than 7 days, the property will be cleaned at no extra charge and linen and towels changed. Beach towels for the garden are also included. Other: Open plan dining room from lounge with seating for 6 people, separate sun lounge with two large sofas with patio doors to lake and pool, patio doors. Desk and chair useful for laptops. There is a wifi connection and phone point for incoming calls only.

                                                                  Fabulous villa!

                                                                  A well appointed house with great amenities and fabulous lakeside views. Spacious, light and airy, with well kept gardens and a pool. The property is in a great location and is accessible to Cape Town and the surrounding area of the Cape Peninsula. We especially enjoyed visiting the nearby restaurants in Noordhoek and Simon's Town.

                                                                  The booking process was really easy, Trish was great to deal with and it was reassuring to have her sister Joan nearby who was able to give us helpful advice when we needed it.

                                                                  The villa helped to make this a really special family holiday and we hope to come back soon.

                                                                  Contact with very helpful Owner Trish before and during our trip and handover of the key on site was very easy and friendly.

                                                                  The house itself is very luxurious, having everything you need for a comfortable stay. Descriptions and photos are 100 % what you get. The Location directly at the lake is phantastic. There is also a pool attached, but unfortunately we could not use as weather conditions were too poor. The house is located in a safe area, compound fenced and security around - so never felt unsafe.

                                                                  The house is on the Cape Peninsula, in a very quite, countryside area, but with easy Access via famous Chapemans' Peak drive to Capetown ( approx. 35 km ). And it is also not far to wonderful beaches as well as Cape of Good Hope or the Winelands - so in case you want to avoid staying at busy Capetown, this is a perfect alternative to locate pieceful in the middle of this wonderful area.

The villa was far better than we could have hoped. It was beautifully presented and the facilities excellent. An excellent location from which to explore Cape Town and the local areas.                                                                   From the moment we walked in, we knew our holiday had started. Beautifully presented, clean and luxurious, this villa had the space for us to breathe and the views to restore us from our stressful city lives and a gruelling journey from the UK. Sitting on Lake Michelle in a well kept, gated complex, the villa accommodated 6 of us easily and the additional lounge provided that little extra space when it was needed for yoga or reading or simply staring at the views. The kitchen had all the amenities needed to make our self-catering stress-free and Joan and Ernie were extremely kind and helpful with any queries we had. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, sun-tanning and swimming in the well kept pool but most of all, we absorbed the gorgeous views along with the sunshine. We really didn't want to leave; it was that perfect...If you are thinking of booking this fab place, we do recommend that during your stay you try the horse riding on Noordhoek beach through Sleepyhollow Stables and the delicious food at the Harbour Café at Kalk Bay. The café and shops at the Noordhoek Farm shop complex are also great. We will back - without a doubt! Paul and Lorraine and family :)

                                                                  A Great Location for a Family Holiday

                                                                  From the pictures and description we hoped this would be a beautiful location for our family holiday in the Cape. It was absolutely wonderful. Noordhoek is well located to drive to Cape Town or to Simonstown and Cape Point either using the stunning Chapman's Peak toll road or the Pass. Both are relatively short but beautiful drives with seemingly minimal traffic; compared to Nairobi where we came from it was traffic paradise. The area has an excellent shopping centre with a large Checkers and Pick n Pay within 5 mins. The estate is safe, has a lovely lake and all the houses well positioned to avoid looking at each other. The view from the house is towards the mountains - the best side. Cape Wine Vineyards and the Food Barn nearby were lovely for food but you are well situated for the whole Cape peninsula. The house was very comfortable and the pool super for our children. Main bedroom and 2nd bedroom lovely for views, the 3rd bedroom has two single beds and is fine, albeit no view. The kitchen is well equipped. Finally, the canoe is a great extra that really makes you use the Lake, there are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. Trish's sister lives round the corner and provided very good and discrete support if needed. A perfect base in the Cape Peninsula.

                                                                  Super house in a super location!

                                                                  This house is fantastic and one which I could actually live in very happily! The location is central with easy access to beaches, Cape Point, Chapman's Peak and the shopping mall is just around the corner. The excellent security is reassuring without compromising on privacy. The owners were welcoming and easy to deal with. The kitchen is well kitted out so we braaied on the Weber most evenings. The pool was clean and surprisingly warm. The view of the mountain is spectacular over the lake and the outdoor dining area well sheltered so it was lovely to sit out and relax in the evening even after dark. The house was clean, well-maintained and the wifi worked. We can't wait to go back!

                                                                  Special interest holidays: Golf, cycling, walking, painting, running, surfing The Cape Town Cycle Tour takes place every March and passes through Noordhoek and the entrance to lake Michelle! Villa is ideal for those wanting to take part!There are also organised cycling tours. Also the Two Ocean Marathon that takes place over Easter weekend. Fantastic surfing only 15 minutes away at Kommetjie beach - boards can be hired and lessons available. Coast/Beach: Noordhoek beach is a wild walking beach with some surfing and ideal for horse riding. The water on this side of the peninsular is cold. For the energetic, you can enjoy the long beach and Kakapo shipwreck walk from Noordhoek to Kommetjie. Fish Hoek is an ideal swimming beach where the water is warmer. Sharks have been spotted here but there are several shark spotters in the area. Boulders beach to see the penguins is a must for the young families. Travel: Cape Town airport is the main airport and is about a 40 minute drive and approximately 43 km. A car is essential for this holiday and they can be picked up from the airport. We suggest you book in the UK before hand. British Airways fly non stop to Cape Town. South African Airways go via Jo'burg. Flights typically travel overnight taking approx 11 1/2 hours, and with only 1 or 2 hours time difference, you can start the day refreshed with no jet lag. Distances: Noordhoek Village is a 5 minute drive, long beach shopping mall is a 5 minute drive in opposite direction. Noordhoek beach is a 6 minute drive and the start of the Chapmans Peak drive is 5 minutes away, leading to Hout Bay with the boat trips to seal Island and Sunday market with local arts and crafts.15 minute drive to Westlake golf club, 30 minutes drive to Cape Town city. Approximately 35km down to Cape point, with the hope of seeing baboons. A selection of wine yards are scattered everywhere Further Details: There are many day trips from Noordhoek. These include Chapmans Peak drive is 5 minutes away, leading to Hout Bay with the boat trips to seal Island and Sunday market with local arts and crafts. Further on around the bay is the trendy Camps bay with plenty of bars and restaurants and beaches. A 30 minute drive takes you to Cape Town city, with Robben Island, the Waterfront, Table Mountain with its revolving cable car. Kirstenbosch with its botanical gardens. The entrance to the Cape point Nature Reserve is only a 30 minute drive from which you pay an entrance fee and take a leisurely drive to the point and the lighthouse, with the hope of seeing baboons. Further afield, you can enjoy a day out in the winelands, sampling the local Cape wines in Constantia, Stellenbosch, Swellendam, Paarl and Franschhoek, the gourmet capital of South Africa.

This deposit then reverts to a security deposit for breakages and will be refunded within 2 weeks of return. Payment can be made through the internet banking system. A credit card may be used through Owners direct. Cancellation - a Sixty day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty days prior to the arrival date are subject to a 5% cancellation fee or £50.00 whichever is greater. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the rental deposit paid to that point. Any security damage deposit paid will be returned if the booking is cancelled. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. Changeover Day: Changeover days can be flexible. As flights arrive early morning and leave in the evening to the UK, arrival and departure times can vary so please contact us with your requests and we can discuss.
