About Debra & Gary Peck

We are married with a young son and live in England. We love the sunshine, enjoy holidays in Spain and decided to purchase a property in Roquetas de Mar, Almeria because we felt it was a very unspoilt Spanish resort. It has lovely long beaches, an array of restaurants and we enjoy long relaxing walks and cycling along the promenade which is minutes from our apartment. Almeria enjoys great weather for most of the year and it is great to visit and relax, recharge the batteries, in the warmth of the sunshine even in the winter months.

Why Debra & Gary Peck chose Roquetas

On visiting Roquetas de Mar we immediately felt very relaxed and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. We liked the fact that although it is a developed resort, it is a relatively unspoilt and undiscovered region of Spain, which still maintains a traditional feel. It enjoys lovely weather for most of the year (335 days of sunshine a year). The resort is not overcrowded and has long beaches and a large and flat promenade.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is just a few minutes walk from the beach and has restaurants, supermarkets and other facilities which are all very close but still enjoys a tranquil atmosphere.

We have ensured that the apartment is well equipped for short and long term stays. It is on the first floor of a 3 storey complex and has 2 lifts and an intercom security system. The balcony is South facing and looks out to a park and there are two swimming pools in the complex.

Clean comfortable apartment

The apartment has all you need for comfortable stay with wifi and uk tv its home from home. Debra &Gary go out of their way to make sure you have a worry free holiday and have everything you need. The beach and bars and restaurants a short walk as well as a small supermarket. Would definitely return thank you Debra & Gary for all your information and help to make the holiday so good.

Very clean and well equipped apartment

Close to sea front-very clean and lovely for walking -beach was cleaned every morning and parking free all the way along the sea front

Great choice of places to eat-all were good value-Paninis was great for ribs and Lily's good value for dinner

Good customer service from Paul and Debra's representative in resort

We would definitely recommend -and will probably return in the autumn

Home from home

I recently enjoyed a weeks stay at this clean,well maintained apartment. The facilities available were easy to use and reliable especially the luxury of having English tv and quick running wifi. The apartment itself was spacious and in an ideal location-close to the beach,bars and amenities but quite enough to get a good nights sleep! Gary and Debbie provided a faultless service from booking to the end of the trip. I have and will continue to recommend this apartment to friends and family who are looking for a place to stay which feels just like home.

What a perfect apartment!

Just returned home from a wonderful holiday in this apartment. It had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Its location is great, literally a two minute walk to the beach and really useful supermarket. The beach is great, sunbeds with parasols only 3.50 euros a day and lifeguard on duty. Great bus service to the Gran Plaza shopping mall and Almeria too. Must recommend the Aloha bar - good food and service and unbelievably reasonable prices. Best of all Debra and Gary are so helpful and made the whole process so easy and stress free. The taxi they arranged was brilliant and felt very confident that they were available if we needed them. Thank you so much!!

perfect apartment

This apartment is in a perfect location. It is in a quiet area yet only a few minutes walk to some of the nicest tapas bars, ie aloha's and taskas, and the beach. There is a well stocked supermarket across the road and a good bus service just over from the front door. The apartment itself is great and has everything you need for a great holiday including an adult and a children's pool. We would have no hesitation in recommending this to our family and friends or indeed anyone who wants a relaxing holiday with all amenities close by. Thank you Garry and Debra for our wonderful stay in your lovely apartment.

Perfect

We have just spent 3 lovely weeks in this apartment in Roquetas. It is situated in a quiet area of the town yet is surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants and the sea front, all within 3 minutes walk! 15 minutes stroll along the beautiful promenade in either direction there is a lot more activity. The apartment is ideal with all the facilities you require. Gary and Debra are so helpful and we would recommend their apartment to anyone.

Coast/Beach:

200 metres (3 mins walk) to the nearest beach. Lovely long and wide beach, cleaned daily and very uncrowded with restaurants/shops along the promenade. Various supermarkets only a few minutes walk away from the apartment with the main resort of Serena approx 15 mins walk offering a more extensive range of restaurants, cafe bars etc.

Almeria International Airport - 24 miles away. 40 mins drive.

Airlines: Ryan Air, Easyjet, Monarch, Fly Thomas Cook, BMI Baby.

Distances:

Almeria Town is approx 25 mins drive and has the Alcazaba Moorish Castle, The Cathedral, shops, bars and restaurants and there is also a beach front.

The Gran Plaza Shopping Mall is just over one and a half miles away and has some nice boutiques, restaurants and a cinema (reached by bus). There is a Waterpark and Aquarium near the Gran Plaza. A weekly market (except for the last Thursday of the month) and a Sunday market at Vicar.

Fishing port/Marina is a mile away walking distance.

Further Details:

Glass bottom boat trips from the Fishing Port/Marina of Roquetas.

General Supermarcedo 5 mins away & Supermarket (open 24 hours) 10 mins.

Hop on tourist train ride around Roquetas.

Excursions available to many local places of interest. Local pick up point.

Shows on the beach front during the summer months.

Cycle hire along the promenade and many hotels that also do excursions.

Mini Hollywood is where the Spaghetti Western films were made and this is now a Theme Park (daily shows) has a Zoo (open natural desert setting) and Water park (45 mins drive) has a Restaurant etc.

Cabo de Gata is a Natural Protected park with quaint villages by the sea (1 hours drive) eg San Jose, Aqua Amarga lovely beach and restaurants.

Mojacar is a 1 hour drive away.

Granada City and the spectacular Alhambra Palace and gardens is a 2 and half hours drive.

Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is a 2 hrs 45 mins drive.

Monthly Winter lets are also available at £410 per month.

When a booking is confirmed, the owner will provide the Bank Account details for the deposit and final payments to be made. Payments can be done via BACS or by cheque.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
