Cottage in Waterhouses, Nr. Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England - Peaceful Location With Walks From The Doorstep
About Inez Bradbury
As a family we love the Peak District and having enjoyed many holidays here ourselves, decided to buy a cottage so we could spend more time in this beautiful area which has so much to offer. Having stayed in many self catering cottages over the years we have aimed to make the cottage as comfortable as possible for your stay and have tried to provide all the essentials required to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Since we started letting the cottage we have met so many lovely people, many of which return again and again. We look forward to welcoming you at our cottage and hope you enjoy this beautiful area as much as we do. Lovely short break with family
We had a lovely 4 night stay in this property in Waterhouses. The house was in a lovely quiet location and was immaculate. It was so well equipped, the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need! The owner Inez was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area. We visited Alton Towers and the Heights of Abraham which were both well worth a visit.
Very well equipped house
A very attractive, clean modern house, equipped with everything (and more!) needed for a comfortable stay. Inez. the owner, met us at the property on arrival, and was very friendly and helpful.
We loved the house and the pretty little estate, but were disappointed with the village of Waterhouses, which has few facilities and is overshadowed by the nearby cement works. The main road is very busy and unpleasant to walk along, so we did not spend much time in the immediate area.
Home from Home
Just returned from a week at Waterhouses this is a Really well equipped and comfortable cottage well placed for the walkings /Cycling trails and the many other attractions, we felt at home as soon as we entered the property it is within easy walking distance of the local shop and a couple of pub restuarants, unfortunatly we were unable to meet Inez the owner due to her bank holiday commitments but her communications beforehand were excellent , We took along our small dog and felt happy that the garden was enclosed and secure , I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
Thank you for your kind words, and pleased to hear you had a great stay. Sorry I was unable to meet you, but if you decided to return in the future, hopefully I will be able to then.
Clean, compact, everything we needed.
Great location! We walked some trails and biked some trails, using the bikes Inez provided. We ate at the local eateries, all had good food and friendly service.
The folder with information that Inez put together was very helpful, especially the maps of the hikes!
We visited lots of villages and saw lots of the beautiful English countryside!
Pleased you enjoyed some lovely walks in the area and made use of our bikes on some of the cycle trails. I note from our visitor book that you hope to return so hopefully we can welcome you back in the future from the USA..
Excellent location and such a lovely cottage the hosts have thought of everything.
For anyone that is looking for a walking holiday this is such an excellent location with walks on the doorstep. The cottage itself was lovely and the hosts little touches made us feel welcome.
We certainly made use of the local pubs where we were made feel welcome.
Would highly recommend
Wonderful, well equipped and perfectly clean.
An absolute joy,a very well equipped 3 bedroom property on a quiet residential estate, within a quiet village surrounding.
Owner greeted us with a warm welcome explaining the operation of heating etc.along with a wealth of local knowledge regarding, walks eateries and the local surrounding area.
The house was spotlessly clean, and well maintained. - would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
