This fully equipped luxury apartment is on the Quinta de Gomeira development. Ideally situated in the picturesque fishing village of Cabanas, it is a short stroll from the centre with its numerous café-bars and restaurants serving delicious local fish and other dishes at affordable prices. The local Island beach has 3km of wide golden sands. Facilities include use of a choice of 4 beautifully landscaped and maintained swimming pools. There is a very friendly cafe bar and a Brasserie on the Quinta Gomeira development. There are 4 golf courses nearby. Golf clubs are available for hire on request. Cabanas is an ideal base for exploring the Algarve with regular train and bus services.

Why Bev Hartley chose Cabanas de Tavira

We love Cabanas as it is not too commercialised, and enjoy the laid back atmosphere. There are great restaurants and bars where you can enjoy a quiet relaxed evening. The lovely beach is only a short boat ride away. Also Tavira is not too far away for a day out, which is easily reached by train, bus, taxi or water taxi.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is a short walk to the many bars and restaurants, also the waterfront where you can get the small boat across to the beach. We have a large enclosed patio which is fully equipped with sun loungers and parasols for long lazy days and table and chairs for al fresco dining.The choice of 4 swimming pools on Quinta de Gomeira is also a benefit. We are close to a number of excellent Golf courses.

Notes on accommodation: Video entry phone. Both bedroom windows and lounge patio doors have mosquito screens and electronic roller shutters for shade and extra security. The apartment is no smoking and pets are not allowed. Air-conditioning units in each bedroom and the lounge, also provide heating in winter months are controlled by handset. Gas, electricity and water are included in the price. We have a hi-fi with docking station, also USB port. DVD player also has USB port for playing your own films. We have a large selection of DVDs and CDs for guest use. Outside: Access to the 4 shared pools is for residents on Quinta De Gomeira using the swipe card provided in the apartment. The patio is fully equipped with sun loungers, parasol and dining table & chairs for al fresco dining. Large barbecue. Utility Room: No separate utility room but washing machine is in the kitchen iron, ironing board, clothes airer, pegs are available, also washing line outside. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels are provided. For guests staying two weeks or more a mid stay change is provided. Guests are asked to provide their own beach towels.

A Perfect Apartment

A well maintained apartment kept to a very high standard. We were able to stay a few hours after check out time, which was really appreciated. Bev & Paul very helpful, would definitely stay again if in Cabanas.

A lovely property.

Stayed here for 4 nights 16th -20th September 2018

A well situated property to explore Cabanas & Taveria.

Very clean,comfortable with a great outside space.

Parking the car was easy too.

This kitchen is very well equipped should you feel the need to cook.

Good Restaurants are a short walk away,and has a well stocked supermarket.

It comes with a choice of 4 communal pools if you feel the need to cool off.

If you don’t have a car the local train is a short walk away .

Tavira is well worth a visit,and it’s cheap to get around and explore by the train.

The Perfect Spot

Spent 3 1/2 weeks here in March. The apartment was perfect, exactly like the pictures. Very spacious, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. It had everything you could possibly need. Bev and Paul were very helpful recommending places to see and the whole process of booking was very easy. We especially enjoyed the large patio. Cabanas is one of the smaller towns but there are lots of restaurants, all within walking distance. For the first 1 1/2 weeks we didn't have a car and just used the train to explore the area. The train station is a 15 minute walk from the apartment. The beach is beautiful and at this time of year deserted. The only disadvantage was that because it was the off season the regular ferry to the beach wasn't running and the private one was more expensive. We hope to return again.

Comfortable and well equipped apartment

We have just spent 6 weeks in Bev and Paul's apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For the past 7 years we have been spending a couple of months in Spain during the winter and can honestly say that this is by far the nicest apartment we have had. The photos and description are accurate, and the apartment had everything we needed for our stay. It is equipped to a high standard and exceeded our expectations. Bev and Paul, and their son, Chris, are friendly and helpful and dealt promptly with a couple of minor issues that cropped up. They also gave us a lot of advice on the area and restaurants. In fact, we have been so pleased we have booked again for next winter.

Great apartment

The apartment is in a good location only a few minutes from the water front. It is spacious and well equip with everything you need. Our little boy loved the large terrace area which is all enclosed so it was a safe environment for him to play, plus it got the sun most of the day, ideal for sunbathing.

Bev was very helpful in answering my questions before we arrived was there to show us around when we arrived.

We loved he apartment and Cabanas, I'd happily recommend both to everyone.

The apartment is located 10 minutes walk from the waterfront where local boats take people to the 3km unspoilt beach of Cabanas through the day in season. The boat costs 1.50 Euros return (children under 8 are free).


Cabanas is approx 40 minutes drive from Faro airport. Taxis from Faro airport will cost approx 45 Euros each way. Although Transfer companies can be cheaper. There are regular bus and train services between Faro and Cabanas and the local area. The local train station in Conceicao is a 15 minute walk from the apartment. The Spanish border is 25 minutes drive away.

Cabanas has a number of small supermarkets, butchers, bakery, banks, hairdressers, local daily food market where most of your shopping can be bought or there is a large supermarket, Continente in the shopping centre in Tavira, where shopping can be ordered on-line for delivery.

Booking Notes:
Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit and signed booking form. Balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. There is a £100 breakages deposit to be paid with the balance. The breakages deposit will be returned on confirmation that the property has been left in the same condition as it was when the rental commenced. Payment to be made by bank transfer.

Changeover Day:
Our changeover days are flexible. While flight details are requested, availability of the apartment before 2pm cannot be guaranteed. In addition guests need to vacate the apartment by 10am on the morning of their departure.
