About Kate Downs
I live in Hexham, Northumberland with my husband and family.
Kate Downs purchased this House in 2014
Why Kate Downs chose Beadnell
Beadnell with watersports and the stunning, wide, golden sandy beaches make it the perfect location. The beach is dog friendly. Set up your deck chairs in a sheltered spot backed by impressive dunes on the fine, golden sand - perfect for sand castle building or a spot of beach cricket. The protected waters of Beadnell Bay make it a favourite with water sports fans of all ages. Try your hand at kite surfing, kayaking or even wake boarding.
What makes this House unique
The property is an excellent base for those wanting to explore the surrounding area. Popular Seahouses is a mile away and has shops, a supermarket, restaurants etc as well as offering boat trips to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watching. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens is a short drive away. There are several golf courses nearby.

Amazing property !
The house was all and so much more than we had anticipated. Booked for a long weekend for my husbands 50th - the guests ranged from 6 to 80 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Kate has thought of everything that a family could need to enjoy the house and the location is perfect to be close enough to everything but far enough away to totally relax. We will definitely be back :)
Beautiful holiday home close to the stunning Beadnell beach
Wonderful holiday home, equipped to a very high standard. Lots of attractive finishing touches around the place. Dog friendly too with a totally enclosed back garden which meant they could play out safely. Wonderful walks from the door, Beadnell to Seahouses also Beadnell to Low Newton. The beaches in the area are stunning. The local pub in Beadnell is great for food and allows dogs in certain areas. A great holiday home in a great location. Thanks!
Amazing Family Holiday
We have stayed in the is area many times as a family but this is the first time we have stayed in Beadnell. Tamarin Close was the perfect place for our family holiday. The location is superb as it is so close to the most wonderful beach. Kate has thought of everything a family could possibly need in a holiday home and the open plan design is perfect for bringing the family together.
We had the most amazing time and would most certainly return to this property.
Thank you Kate.
Lovely, clean, well equipped, comfortable house.
Plenty of space in this modern, well designed, airy house. Great for 2 families as downstairs is sociable and open. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms plus balcony space and a decent sized garden mean it’s easy to get some peace when you need it. It had everything we needed and more. Set on a quiet estate with an easy walk to the beach & the pub. Highly recommended. Thank you to the owner Kate.
Spacious, comfortable and beautiful location.
Stayed here for a long weekend with another family. Well equiped kitchen in open plan lounge/dining room area. Two very nice ensuite double rooms with balconies, and a further double and twin room. One of the kids (5'7" tall) slept on the sofa bed in front room with TV and X-box which was fine but probably wouldn't have been so comfortable for a taller person. Plenty of cupboard space and loads of space for shoes/coats. We walked from the door along beach and coastal paths to The Ship Inn at Low Newton which was a fabulous walk. Also enjoyed visiting Alnwick gardens, seeing puffins, sea birds, seals on Staple Island and a visit to Holy Island. I would recommend this house.
Wonderful home from home 5*
What a wonderful house, immaculate, well equipped, there were 8 of us who stayed and it never felt crowded. A bottle of fizz on arrival from Kate, decorated in calm and relaxing colours. Well equipped, comfortable, perfect location. Beadnell is a great location to explore locally, and it’s own beach is a 2 minute walk from the back gate. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you Kate!
A five minute walk to one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. A vast, sandy beach with fantastic sand dunes. Perfect for a family seaside holiday. A base for some fantastic coastal walks and bird watching.
