The White Turtle is a luxury two bedroom house with private pool located in Marigot Bay, Saint Lucia. It is situated in one of the most beautiful locations of the Caribbean. Tucked away in an exclusive setting in Marigot Bay, it looks out over lush green forest and the bright aqua blue of the Caribbean sea.
The White Turtle is situated in Marigot Bay, the picturesque small inlet famously used as a filming location for the popular childrens film ‘Dr Doolittle’. The house is a 15 minute walk from the main Marigot marina and neighbouring La Bas beach, and only a 5 minute stroll down to the secluded cove of Trou Roland.
Daniel Rolfe is a London based graphic designer who has recently completed a house build in Marigot Bay, Saint Lucia which is now available for holiday rental.
Daniel Rolfe purchased this villa in 2012
We had such an amazing trip and it was made all the better for having such a lovely house to come home to at the end of the day.
A beautiful house in a great location. Sitting on the terrace watching the sunset with a gin and tonic just can’t be beat!
The house has great views of the sea, friendly visiting birds, and the best bit was the pool which the children loved!!!!!!

Had a fantastic two weeks at White Turtle. Great location for exploring the island, (we had a car) as well as easy/pleasant walk down to Marigot Bay which has some very good restaurants. (Rainforest Hideaway / Chateau Mygo / Masala.)
The owner Daniel was very helpful in the run up to the holiday.
The villa is nicely laid out, with everything you could need, being clean and fresh. The kitchen is showing a few signs of wear now, but has everything you need plus some nice extras such as sealable food storage, coolbag, smoothie maker etc. The views from the balcony are lovely whatever the time of day - we ate all our meals outside. We loved the modern design and feel of the villa, but its position doesn't give it the best breezes to cool down the heat, (August visit) so the fans provided are essential. It's in a quiet location, so noise isn't a problem. Mosquitos in August weren't too bad considering. Cans of repellent were left to spray up bedrooms in the evening, which seemed to do a pretty good job.
The pool is a really good length, (10m) and depth. Our 11 yr old daughter spent a lot of time in it, but being generally quite deep you need to be a confident swimmer. Gardens beautifully presented.
Sabina, who is the contact on the island is very helpful should you require anything or information.
Trips to Pigeon Island, lunch at The Pink Plantation, Soufries and boat charter to The Pitons is well worth it.
I would recommend this villa and location.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We actually chose St Lucia because of this house, we had 3 or 4 other locations on the list and this one beat them all. Daniel was quick to respond to every question we had about the place and offered up some very useful information. Initially he had told us that the standard method of payment was a wire transfer, we let him know that we were not comfortable wireing money to an account (which is the standard way of payment in the Europen countries), and that we had used the Book it Now feature on Home Away for other properties and preferred to do it that way. Within 24 hours he had established an account and had the Book it Now feature added to his property just for us, so we booked it that night without hesitation! He provided a welcome packet with guidelines and information for the house and the island through an email, and had a ton of current brochures at the house. We were able to drive our rental car straight to the house without missing a turn based on the directions he had given us. The drive up to the house was awesome, extremely secluded and it's on the side of a hill with a sunset view that can't be beat. We were greeted by Sabina when we arrived who was very friendly and helpful, and a great resource for things to do and places to go on the island. She stopped by half way though our stay as promised to check in on us and make sure everything was going well. We made use of the pool and the kitchen everyday, and had no complaints. When we booked our stay there was a note that the house was all 220v outlets so the wifey had to leave her hair dryer/straightener/curler at home, however, if you were planning on bringing anything that needs a 120v outlet you'll be just fine as there are 120v outlets in the bathroom and the kitchen. The location was great, we walked to Marigot Bay a few times, and the drives/rides to the other towns to the north were not that far at all. On our last night there we had Davey come to the house and cook us a meal. We would have booked him every night had we done it the first night! That was the best meal we had on the island! Davey was great company, very outgoing, and knew everything about the island. You can't stay at the house and not book at least one night for him to cook a meal, or to guide you on a trip on the island. Everyone associated with the house made it a great stay.
We always talk about making another trip.
My wife and 2 kids spent 8 glorious days at White Turtle. Daniel, the owner, was very helpful and responsive pre trip which was great as it was our first visit to St Lucia. This was complimented by Sabina, villa concierge, on arrival and during our stay. The 2 bed villa was surprisingly huge and spacious. The swimming pool provided endless fun times with our kids. And just a short walk/drive to Marigot Bay.
A top spot for couples and families.
