Fantastic holiday Lodge

  • 5 of 5

The lodge is in a delightful situation with uninterrupted views down the Coombe to the sea.

Beautifully furnished and very well equipped.

In depth information of places to visit and restaurants to eat at.

The beaches and coastal walks are some of the best in the UK.

I highly recommend this Property.

Home comforts with an amazing view

  • 4 of 5

A well maintained clean property with everything you could need (even bodyboards and a bucket and spade!). We really enjoyed our stay at Combe view and got some amazing sunset pictures. An ideal quiet get away which is close to Bude. The only downside for us was no wifi at the chalet (although there is wifi at the reception area) and having to feed the electric meter. However we would not hesitate to come back and recommend this property.

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Penstowe and the accommodation was excellent. The lodge was airy, very, clean, impeccably presented and had every convenience we could hope for, making our stay very comfortable and we immediately felt at home.

The position of the lodge is not overlooked and, with unimpinged views across countryside and out to the sea, it really did feel like our own little beauty spot.

Penstowe itself offered a variety of services to ensure we could stay local when required, but with so many good beaches, villages, pubs and days out for the family, it is perfectly positioned to use as a base to which we could retreat in comfort come the end of the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again next year.

Keep up the good work :0)

Comfortable, thoughtfully equipped, lovely view.

  • 5 of 5

The lodge has everything you could need, all very organised and clean. It is surprisingly spacious inside, with views to the sea from the front windows and patio area. The patio area is very pretty and relatively private. The site itself is peaceful, but close to shops and pubs in the village and the beach at Sandymouth.

Communication from the owner is clear and helpful, this continues in the lodge where information about the local area is extremely well presented and thorough.

Beautifully appointed lodge in superb location.

  • 5 of 5

The property is well- maintained and very clean. It is well equipped with everything needed, including linen and towels which were changed after the first week of our two week stay. It is extremely well equipped with two TVs and DVD players (one with Sky) and plenty of dvds to chose from as well as books, games, jigsaws etc for those wetter days. Also provided are beach chairs, games, crabbing gear, body boards etc . It is situated in the best position on the Penstowe site, with spectacular westfacing views across the countryside to the sea giving some amazing sunsets. The owner was extremely helpful when we had a minor problem with a light fixture which he arranged to be fixed immediately . Local town Kilkhampton has supermarkets, two pubs, both serving food and a fish and chip shop. Penstowe site also has restaurants and the brilliant 'Pizza Ape' takeaway on site. Facilities at Penstowe include free use of an outdoor pool, the indoor pool, sports hall and gym cost extra. Nearest beach Sandymouth is fantastic although check tide times as there is very little there at high tide.
