Family detached villa with private pool, set in a quiet residential area within walking distance of the great shops and Restaurants of Villamartin Plaza. The beautiful grounds boast everything you need for a carefree holiday, including an outside kitchen with bbq, fridge/freezer, drinks cooler, microwave etc. all set under a picturesque shaded gazebo,by the side of the large welcoming 8 x4 private pool. There are numerous seating areas for you to enjoy,plus sun-beds for topping up your tan. All is centred around outside living enjoying the true Mediterranean lifestyle until it's time to retire to bed or enjoy a night on the town.

About Joan Moorhouse

My husband and I purchased the Villa in 1989. Over the years we have added to the property, making it a joy to stay in. During the sunnier days (which are many) most of the time is spent outside and so the addition of our outside kitchen and dining area has been wonderful. Sometimes we go down onto the patio for breakfast and stay all day. We are retired now, so enjoy the quiet life that the villa brings, but if we want wonderful food and exciting company the Villamartin Plaza is around 20 minutes walk away.

Why Joan Moorhouse chose Alicante Province and Costa Blanca

When we bought we didn't know the area, but we knew we wanted a property in a residential area, within 10 minutes drive of the beach. We also wanted to be able to walk to shops and restaurants and the villa is perfectly situated for all this. It enjoys the privacy of a detached property and the private pool and patio is a haven of tranquility. Within 20 minutes you can be in the countryside enjoying real Spain and the nearby town of Torrevieja is certainly worth a visit.

Notes:
Outside: The villa is situated in a private residential area and enjoys its own private gardens and 8x4 pool. Our outside kitchen has all the facilities you need to cook and enjoy outside holiday living. There is a BBQ and large table and chairs situated under the welcome shade of the Gazebo. Tables and chairs are dotted around the patio for your comfort and sun-beds galore for topping up the tan. There is also an outside shower. Enjoy a night time swim with the fully illuminated pool - very romantic when the kids have finally gone to bed. Utility Room: Washing Machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The beds will be made up for your arrival along with Towels etc. A second set of sheets are available. The villa will be cleaned on your departure. There is an additional cleaning charge on arrival of E55. Other: The sun-room overlooks the pool and extensive gardens with sliding doors to enjoy the fragrant night breezes. A dining table and chairs, dvd/radio and a large double sofa bed which converts to a double bed. There is a book cabinet stacked with books.

Lovely villa for a relaxing break

This villa is great if you want a quiet holiday away from the hustle and bustle of tourist area. The pool and outside kitchen is the best feature, probably needs a bit of updating but it is a great place to spend time relaxing in the sun. The only downside is the lack of aircon in the bedrooms, the fans are quite noisy and not very effective in the Spanish heat.

The villa is located about 10/15 mins walk from Villamartin Plazza and La Fuente commercial centre where you will find bars and restaurants and shops. Beaches are a few kilometres away. Public transport isn't that good in the Villamartin area, taxis are the best bet and not expensive if you want to go further afield.

Overall I would highly recommend this villa for a quiet break, it is excellent value for money, we had a great time. Also, I would like to say the property manager Steve is really helpful, gave us lots of info about the area, a really nice guy.

We may look at adding air con in in the bedroom for 2018, but this would have to be reflected in the rental cost, which we try and keep competitive. There is a regular bus service which can be accessed at the end of the urbanisation. It travels to Campoamor beach one way and La Zenia on its return. A home from home

Fantastic villa, everything you need is there. The pool is a great size and plenty outdoor swimming material in the big boxes outside. There was only my husband and myself and was looking for a quiet holiday away from the hustle of daily life at home, we weren't disappointed and found the area quiet and friendly and not far from local amenities. 5 minutes from nearest bar wolfies who serves food which is lovely and morgans bar just a further 2 minutes. Nearest supermarket is only 20 minute walk, however book a taxi for coming back. The local taxi was also friendly. Will definitely be back!! Thank you joan.

A home from home

Enjoyed many holidays in this area and this villa certainly ticks all the box's for a superb holiday. Inside,the villa is clean,tidy, with all you need for a home from home. Outside , the pool size is excellent with plenty of seats and sun loungers. Add the "outside living" feature and you do not really need to leave the villa at all ! The location is peaceful but within walking distance of some very good bars, Wolfies, Morgans, Secret Garden, an Asian restraunt well worth a visit and the commercial centre beyond the supermarket. With a car, visit San Miguel de Salinas for more authentic Spanish restraunts, and DO NOT miss the La Zenia Boulevard !! Great shops, tapas and bars to watch sport on a massive outdoor tv screen. If your a beach lover you will be spoilt for choice,, personal favourite El Capitan and Campomar by the beach restraunt. Enjoy ,,, as we will certainly be back in the future.

There are 3 blue flag beaches within easy reach of the villa. 10 minutes by car or a regular bus which picks up locally.

Visit La Zenia boulevard for exciting shops, restaurants and entertainment.

Travel:

Murcia airport is around 20 minutes drive.

Alicante airport around 45 minutes

We can arrange for pick up from airport.

Distances:

Torrevieja is around 15k and San Migual is around 5K. Taxis outside Villamartin will take you where you want to go, if you so not have a car.

Further Details:

You are never far away from facilities. Banks, Supermarkets include Mercadonna, Lidl, Carrefour. Restaurants for every taste, Spanish, English, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Russian, Greek etc. etc.
