Apartment in Morillon, Nr Samoens, Haute Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France - Le Jardin Alpin, Ski In Ski Out, Next To Shops, Very Close To Ski Lifts.

Our apartment is a large (72 m2) duplex with 3 bedrooms, each with own bathroom, and sofa bed in the lounge. It is situated in Le Jardin Alpin, a purpose built pedestrianised ski resort, connecting into the Grand Massif with 265 km of pistes, good for all abilities. The apartment is accessed by lift, and has an underground car parking space. Summer activities include mountain biking, walking, swimming, tree activities like go ape, golf, white water rafting. Next door is the boulangerie, the ski shop is opposite, and the supermarket just round the corner.

About Claire Oldroyd

We are joint owners, Andrea and Claire who have skied in Morillon with our friends and family for many years. Claire had an apartment in Morillon village for some 20 years before deciding to buy something larger, so knows the area well.

Why Claire Oldroyd chose Morillon village

We knew the area well, loved it and so stayed!

Our families can either drive, only 8-9 hours from Calais, or fly for a qucik weekend via Geneva airport.

These mountains are just lovely in the summer, with lots of traditional French villages to explore, along with many sports to keep the kids active.

Notes:
Outside: South facing balcony with tables and chairs facing the main return ski run back. Utility Room: Skis are kept in the large locked heated ski room on the ground floor Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen can be provided at 15 Euros and towels at 8 Euros per person, and are paid for at the resort. These need to be pre booked with the owner. End of stay cleaning is included. Other: Large south facing balcony with views overlooking the main ski return to village . Tables and chairs for 8.

Perfect, spacious apartment, really well located

We had a fantastic week in Morillon 1100 and Claire's apartment was perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of space over 2 floors, really well located for shops, bars and restaurants and although late in the season, still plenty of snow! The locker room for ski kit was really handy and the private parking space a bonus. All in all a great holiday. Thanks Claire

Great apartment and lovely resort

The apartment is lovely with all amenities. Great position with lovely views over the ski slopes. All local facilities ski hire, nearby chairlift, restaurants, great pub across the road.

Great location close to slopes

This is a lovely duplex apartment with a covered parking space, close to the lift at Morillon 1100. The apartment is spacious with 3 double bedrooms and a small but well equipped kitchen, including an oven and dishwasher. We had a brilliant week, but just should mention that there is no wifi, so come prepared for that (we all managed no problem including the teenagers!). The breadvshop is literally next door, and Les Esserts is compact but has everything you need. Can thoroughly recommend.

Well equipped chalet

Loved it!

We had a very enjoyable week in Morillon Les Esserts staying in Le Jardin d'Alpin. The apartment was very well appointed just a short walk uphill via a slope or steps to either of the two chairlifts, and at the end of the day you can ski back to within a few steps of the locker room. The locker room which was big and spacious with plenty of seating, a big plus. The apartment as others have said is so well positioned in the center of the resort close to all amenities. ( Loved the ski hire shop and bakery being just next door).

The apartment met all our hopes. (It even had a teapot - our first in France!) It was clean and had great heating and there was enough good seating in the lounge area for the 4 of us. (maybe not for 6 though, although there was around the dining area).

The beds were really comfy and the en-suites always a bonus. Really modern and spacious. It was also great to find an apartment for a group of older adults that did not have bunk beds !!

We found the owner Claire to be most helpful and cooperative.

This was our second ski holiday in Morillon 1100 and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Great place, lovely apartment. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends.

Fantastic summer holday

Great apartment to visit with friends or family. 15 year olds had own rooms with ensuite bath rooms too which was a real bonus. Ate breakfast on the sunny balcony every day before heading up in the chairlift for a mountain walk and lunch, or walking along the valley to Samoens or rafting (highly recommend company near the foot of the Morrilon cable car). Very friendly locals wherever we went. The apartment is ideally situated in the centre of Les Esserts with fabulous views and all the local shops were excellent. Delicious breads and croissant from the boulangerie. Very rested after our break in this lovely apartment.

Morillon is wonderful in the summer, with lifts and 400km of mountain bike trails, alpine walking, parapenting including tandem, white water rafting.

At Morillon is the Lac Bleu with swimming, tree activities like go-ape, horse riding, tennis, cycling.

Bikes can be stored in the garage.

Travel:

Car - Morillon is 900 km (544 miles) from Calais, 8-9 hours drive on motorways, to Cluses, 30 km from the village.

Air - 80km from Geneva airport, pre booked taxis are available

Train - 30km from Cluses

Distances:

Morillon village is 10 minutes down the road, with Samoens 5 km further along the valley Giffre.

Other local ski areas are Morzine, Megeve and Chamonix, - car needed.
