About Mrs Karen Williams

We bought the property whilst on holiday in the area.

Although only our second visit to area we found the way of life, countryside and so close to the beaches irresistible. We have rented the house for over 12 years and have had several repeat visitors.

Mrs Karen Williams purchased this house in 2002

What makes this house unique

The house and pool are not overlooked and with breathtaking views from

the house and garden it is a joy just being here. We have recently completely renovated the upstairs bathroom and also added a new covered terrace over looking the garden and pool.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Having rented in France before this was way better than before. House was brilliant, pool was great, kids loved table tennis. Local shops great and plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area."

August 2008.

"We had a wonderful 2 weeks here, very relaxing and comfortable. Thank you for letting us share your home. The chicks behind the red butterfly keep us amused for weeks until the "flew the nest" Visited several places and Talmont is well worth a visit.

The children really enjoyed cycling to the boulangerie every day for fresh bread.

July 2009

"Our 2nd visit and we have enjoyed it more than last year. The new terrace is a perfect place to relax in the evening after a hard day of reading, lunching, swimming and table tennis.

Great house, garden and pool

  • 5 of 5

We had a great two weeks at Chez Morin, and wish we could have stayed longer! The pool was perfect, great for cooling off on hot days! The house, garden and pool were well maintained, spacious and full of character. It was perfect for the whole family, our kids (aged 2, 4 and 6) had a wonderful time and loved the walks right on the doorstep. We could happily have spent the whole two weeks just in the house, garden and pool but there was lots to see in the local area and we had some great days out at the beaches in Meschers and St Georges and at Talmont. This is by far the best house we have stayed in! Highly recommended and we hope to return soon.

Best Holiday, highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

Where do we start, we took our two boys for 10days. On finding the gite on owners direct I called Karen to discuss if it would be suitable for us, she was more than helpful. She assured us they had everything suitable for a 2year old and 6month old. When we arrived we had a welcome pack and gifts for the boys. They had left high chairs, a steriliser, travel cot, pushchair and even toys. We found it a great place to relax but the kids loved it and there's plenty to do in the area. I don't think the 1star review has got the right house! Communication excellent. House excellent. Pool excellent 5*++++

Just Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. Chez Morin is such a pretty home and has great character.

The pool and gardens were lovely and well used, as was Karen and Grahams outdoor table tennis. We indulged in fresh bread and croissants every morning as the village boulangerie was only a short cycle away. There was something to please everyone...Canoeing at Pons and beach days were fun for the whole family; Royan and Saintes was perfect for some retail therapy for the girls and coming back to the peace of Chez Morin was perfect for mum.

Karen and Graham were lovely, warm and genuine hosts and was a pleasure to have got to know them.

Thank you!

Great holiday

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a brilliant holiday in this lovely French home full of rustic charm. The garden and pool were fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed by us all especially my 2 year old granddaughter. Had a wonderful welcome from the owners Karen and Graham. Hope to return in the future. We really enjoyed the wonderful countryside and the nearby towns of Pons and Jonzac.

Lovely relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Chez Morin for a week, and had a wonderful time. The garden and pool are so pretty and well kept, and you can see right out over the fields around the house. It is beautiful and we were able to unwind completely. There are some lovely walks around the area too through the vineyards and it's all still lovely even if it does rain! The house is really homely, and you can tell that many happy times have been spent there. We would definitely visit again and will recommend to friends. Thank you!

Ignore Disappointed

  • 5 of 5

Ignore disappointed, what a load of rubbish. Our party of 4 adults have just stayed at Chez Morin, and it was fantastic, the house was great and the pool was lovely also, lots of shade in the garden from the sun, the house had everything you could want, and the summer kitchen was great.

We and our dogs just loved everything, and Karen and Graham were really helpful.

Highlight of our visit was a trip round the Remy Martin Cognac factory on the little train.

Will definitely try and visit again
