Perched on the side of a mountain overlooking the Rhone Valley, the newly built Chalet Janluke is uncompromisingly modern; a bespoke-design from an award-winning architectural practice. Employing a mixture of traditional and modern materials and building techniques and featuring exposed concrete juxtaposed with traditional Larch timber, Chalet Janluke really is the traditional Swiss chalet re-vamped for the 21st century. Large glazed areas offer spectacular views of the surrounding area while the side balcony provides an uninterrupted mountain panorama from within the large open plan living space. The Chalet's four bedrooms sleep up to 10 people in a stunning master bedroom, two double/twin rooms, and one twin room with optional (4) bunk beds. The master bedroom has its own private south facing garden, and all rooms have private en-suites, as well as state of the art entertainment systems and Wi-fi throughout.

Why Socrates C Miltiadou chose Les 4 Vallees

I was asked to help a friend with the design of his luxury chalet in La Tzoumaz -Verbier and instantly fell in love with the village and the resort. Once his chalet was complete in 2009 my family and I decided to purchase land and build our own dream chalet.

What makes this chalet unique

The primary reason for building the chalet was to spend time with friends and family in the mountain, away from our busy London life. The open plan, double height glazed living room is the ideal space for spending time together.

My wife describes the experience as "living inside the view"!

Travel: Chalet Janluke is under two hours drive from Geneva and only 25 minutes from either Sion and Martigny train stations. There are regular trains from Geneva Airport to Martigny.

The drive from Geneva Airport usually takes 90 minutes to 2 hours.

There are tolled motorways the whole distance from Calais to Sion, and the chalet has a large garage with additional room for parking outside if required.
