A lovely modern family home with large open plan living space. Set in a quiet cul de sac next to the village cricket field and tennis courts. Set on the border of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire, surrounded by lovely villages and close to the Grand Union Canal and refurbished Navigation pub and restaurant, just outside the village. Six miles from The new city of Milton Keynes and a 35 min train into London.
We bought the house from new and over the years, as our family grew we expanded the house into a large modern open plan living home.
I love the kitchen, the hub of family life, which is open to the living area.
The large breakfast bar is well used and a gathering and social point.
The large bright airy lounge with it's 4 velux roof windows,
has 2 extremely comfortable reclining sofas, great to relax in at the end of the day or watch TV.
Our home is now our holiday home as we now live in Dubai and visit once a year.
It is always great to get back to the countryside and the greenery and the quiet peaceful and very friendly village location. Within easy reach of the town and also London.
When we first moved to the area after living in Thailand we stayed in Castlethorpe on one of the farms for about 6wks and loved the village. When the houses were built we didn't hesitate to move back!
We had a lovely stay over Christmas and after the birth of our baby. The house is large and has everything you need and has very good energy. The manager/ caretaker lives very close and is helpful. A great place for entertaining or relaxing. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

We stayed at this property while we waited for our new house to complete. The house was beautiful, very, high standard it really was a home from home. A great garden with children's toys and a big, playhouse. The house inside was immaculate and had everything from a high chair to a coffee maker. Very easy to sort everything out with Sue the owner who was very, helpful. Would highly recommend.
We rented this property for a period of almost 2 months due to a delayed house move into the village. It was ideal for our situation, spacious, modern, immaculate, well maintained, a very welcome relief to our stressful move. The weekly cleaning service was a godsend and made our stay very easy. For our family of four it was fantastically well equipped and even with all our belongings in storage there wasn’t anything that it didn't have or provided for a length of stay that long, incl, Sky TV, internet and wifi. The garden was perfect for our young children, safe and enclosed with garden toys and playhouse available and the kitchen was fully equipped for all our family cooking requirements too.
The owners were incredibly quick to respond to any queries we had, especially as we needed to extend our stay whilst we were there and the lady who looks after the house was friendly, helpful and brilliant with any questions we had about the property – we would definitely recommend this property to others!
Conveniently located and spacious enough to have friends and family, we particularly enjoy coming to stay in this comfortable house with all mod cons available.
We have already used the house twice and hope to visit again in the future
This was a lovely holiday house and perfect for families with young children. Everything mentioned in the AD was available, all our needs were met, and the house was very welcoming and cosy.
The owners were very cooperative and pleasant people although we only dealt with them through emails. Lianne, who looks after the house was so friendly and helpfull, she made our stay easier and very comfortable, it was a pleasure to meet her.
The house has all the facilities needed and more, the back garden is very nice for both children and adults. Can't think of any negative sides to mention!
If we ever come back to Mk, we will definitly stay at this lovely house again. we wish Sue and her family all the best.
