Why Noreen and Brendan King chose County Kerry
Seashell Cottage is a beautiful property with all the comforts of modern living overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay and Reenroe Beach. The many reviews by previous guests show how positive people feel about this property and how much they enjoy their holidays in Ballinskelligs, Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way. The house is comfortable, tastefully decorated and beautifully designed encapsulating the stunning views of sea, beach and mountains. Many guests return again and again to Seashell Cottage and we are delighted to welcome them back.
What makes this Cottage unique
We love Seashell Cottage as it captures the traditional style of an Irish cottage in a modern house. You will always feel at home here. Sitting in front of the open turf fire and gazing out to sea, capturing the beauty of Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way - pure heaven!

Beautiful Location, Newer Home, Nice Owners, Not adequately supplied.
This is a very nice, new home with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, very spacious and extremely CLEAN. The hardwood floors were beautiful, the beds very comfortable. The home definitely felt more "upscale" and modern.
The owners were very responsive and pleasant, but it all seemed more of a business transaction than the welcoming feel we received from our other homes in Ireland.
The home was decorated very modern and again very clean, but no blankets to snuggle under by the fire, no stock of toilet paper, no paper towels, no wash cloths for showering, even bath towels were one per person for a 6 day stay. (Owner did offer to bring one more towel per person after I contacted her looking for a linen closet that did not exist.)
The owners of this home met you on arrival to read the meters, then met you on exit to read them again and charge you extra for, in my opinion, what I have already paid for by renting this home. This does seem to be somewhat common in this area, but did not happen in our 2 other homes in Ireland that we paid the same amount per day to rent.
Not an unpleasant stay, but definitely not as warm and fuzzy as our other homes we were in on our trip to Ireland. We would stay here again but would know to bring our own toilet paper and wash cloths!
Glad you enjoyed your stay in Seashell Cottage, but we are disappointed that you gave us a three star review. We have been welcoming guests to Seashell Cottage since 2011 and have received all five star reviews since then. You made it clear that you had a problem with paying extra for oil and electricity when we greeted you at the property and answered any questions you had about the area. Again on leaving, you still complained about the extra charges. In our correspondence to you prior to your stay, it was clearly stated that oil and electricity were extra and this is also mentioned on the HomeAway website, so it shouldn't have been an issue at all. A bath towel and a handtowel is supplied for each guest and if guests require extra towels, we always supply them, as we did with you. We provide a toilet roll for each bathroom, but never have we been asked to supply all the toilet paper for a stay! If you wanted blankets, we would have happily supplied them for you, you only had to ask. Also, were the other houses you stayed in giving free fuel for the open fire as well as free Wifi? Again, this is a disappointing review as we pride ourselves in the quality of service we provide.
Beautiful location - great, just as advertised, cottage
Very very nice, cozy, comfortable -- everything we needed was right there.
Idyllic cottage in a fantastic location
Our week in this beautiful, well-appointed house was so relaxing. We wanted for nothing except more sunshine! It was a delight, morning and evening, to sit at the dining table admiring the stunning view. Coming back to the cottage, after our walks and drives, was a pleasure. We highly recommend the local Emlagh Loop walk. 6k, taking in beach, bog and forest. Would return in a heartbeat.
Beautiful, spacious but cosy home
enjoyed our stay, great house with amazing view
The cottage was fantastic and Noreen was amazing! I recommend this to any and everyone.
Our family of 5 had a fantastic stay in this beautiful house. The location was amazing, looking out onto the bay. We were fortunate with brilliant weather for the majority of our stay, and we made the most of it by seeing as much as possible and doing lots of walking!
The house itself was fantastic, very well equipped and warm even on the cold winter nights, the large fire was particularly nice.
We have already recommended it to our friends!
