Within that development lies our holiday home, luxuriously furnished with King size double beds and flatscreen TVs to the master bedroom, kitchen and lounge. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine either on the balcony or in the attractive patio garden, or explore the many attractions close by such as the Spinnaker Tower set in the Gunwharf Quays retail outlet and near to Portsmouth historic dockyard.

About Simon & Gillian Brice

We have 2 grown-up children and have been in the hospitality industry for the past 35 years, currently running a successful AA 3 star hotel in Somerset for the last 14 years, so our standards are very high. Having a holiday home in Port Solent enables us to get away, unwind and enjoy the atmosphere of the area and the diverse Solent waterways.

Excellent property

The house is very well situated for all local amenities and for travel around the area. A nearby Marriott hotel has excellent, and good value, gymn facilities.There is noise from the motorway but this is very similar to the noise of wind rushing through the Ash trees close to our house in the country. The interior of the house has been maintained to a good standard. Communications with the owners have been very easy and there was a friendly bottle of wine and box of chocolates to welcome us.

Great Base for exploring Solent area

A modern town house on the edge of the Port Solent development, 10 minutes walk from the boardwalk. House is very clean with all amenities you require. Good wifi and three TVs distributed around house, with music and DVD players. Bottle of wine and box of chocolates were nice welcome gifts. We made family meals in the house and eat out occasionally , so enjoyed this flexibility. Big Tesco nearby and excellent choice of eateries in walking distance. Plenty of parking to rear of property where you gain easy access to house through own small neat courtyard garden. Minor niggles which stop 5 star are motorway noise ( which we were aware of prior to visit as we are familiar with area), and low water pressure at top of property ( which did not worry us given that it is lower in rural Scotland where we live !). Owners Gillian and her husband were very friendly, responsive and professional making all arrangements seamless. They aim to make your stay memorable and stress-free. We would definitely consider staying here again as it enabled six of us from our scattered family to join up in a great location, enjoying home comforts.

Port Solent are currently looking at ways to help lessen/eliminate road noise by screening and noise reducing tarmac however this can be a lengthy process. We are also looking at ways of improving the water pressure at the top of the house and hope to increase this in the not to distant future.

Very nice stay !

the house was very easy to find and in a brilliant location to walk along to the boardwalk in port solent to the bars and restaurants and also very close to drive to places like Southsea and Gunwharf Quays. The house had everything we needed so was just like being at home. Hardly any traffic noise seeing at the house is right next to the motorway.

We will definately be staying again soon !
