Fernleigh Coach House was built in 1882 but converted in 2012 to the highest standards. It retains exposed beams and walls, enhanced with limestone and oak floors throughout. There is a light and airy kitchen with hand painted shaker units and French doors opening onto a sunny patio; a living room with exposed brick wall and beams with stable door to let the sun flow in; a downstairs shower room tiled in limestone with double shower; and stairs leading to the first floor bedroom with double bed and French doors with juliet balcony overlooking the garden. Outside there is a good sized partially walled private sunny patio for you to enjoy al fresco dining. The detached property is located within the grounds of the owners home, with access via a gravelled path. Stratford is only a short drive or walk, but in the village you can relax and enjoy good food and ales at the local pub, deli/tapas bar or restaurants, there’s also a well stocked village shop. Parking is on-street.

Charming coach house!
This accommodation is perfect for two people. The coach house has been lovingly renovated in recent years featuring fine, handcrafted details. It is extremely clean with a comfortable bed dressed in crisp white linens, a powerful shower head with lots of hot water, a well-appointed kitchen with functional appliances, and a quality sofa with feather cushions.
The cottage is situated away from traffic noise set in a small, lovely garden. The theatres and Shakespeare's birthplace are a 10 minute bus ride away. The immediate neighbourhood offers a host of excellent eateries and a small grocery store.
Karin and Matt are warm and welcoming as well as very helpful.
You will be charmed by this sweet, English cottage!
A Delightful Private Space
Fernleigh Coach House is pure delight! It is located in the back of the owner's property with its own garden patio. Matt and Karin were the ultimate hosts, giving us great recommendations for restaurants, hiking paths and nearby historic places of interest. As we were totally reliant on public transportation, the bus stop across the street was a great advantage. We both enjoy walking so the trek into Stratford-upon-Avon was a 30-minute stroll past attractive buildings and gardens. We did take the water taxi from the caravan park, just to see the other side of these large homes. Fernleigh is a well-appointed home, compact with every amenity. It was cozy, comfortable and just enough space for the two of us. We did not use the oven but the cooker top worked well and the kitchen utensils/pots/pans were in good shape. The wifi worked well as did the TV, washing machine and dishwasher. We enjoyed the quiet location, away from the sometimes heaving Stratford-upon-Avon, but appreciated the proximity when needing a Shakespeare fix. The restaurants were close by and all were wonderful: Indian, Chinese and the pub just exceptional. A real treat was the Knead It bakery, fortunately for our waistlines, opened only 2 days a week. It was located a couple blocks from Fernleigh. Matt and Karin were always accessible but allowed plenty of privacy. It is a place we would love to return to should we ever return to this part of the world
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. It was lovely to meet you both and we wish you happy adventures for the rest of your trip.
Absolutely charming and wonderful location!
Wonderful little coach house finished beautifully with everything you could possible need! And in a great location for exploring Stratford and the surrounding area. Charming decor and a great bed and bedding! I simply can't say enough about the quality of this little holiday let. Definitely built for one or two people...very cosy and a wonderful little kitchen area. Great Indian restaurant right across the street and a Spar half a block away. Karin and Matt could not have been more gracious or accommodating. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!
Excellent accommodation. Highly Reccommended.
We recently spent a week in this excellent accommodation. We were welcomed by Karin and Matt who gave us all the information regarding the coach house and also what to see and do in the area. The house was spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. It has a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable settee and bed and also a selection of books and dvd's. There are buses through the village to Stratford, Warwick and Leamington Spa and Stratford is only a short walk away.
Thank you Karin and Matt!
It has it all.
Beautiful and very tasteful accommodation in a peaceful and private setting. A great selection of places to eat only a stroll away. A Spar shop that stocks just about everything, a local bakery and all this with out venturing out of Tiddington. Stunning Stratford is either a short walk, a bus ride or a water taxi. The location make this property an ideal base for Stratford and surrounding areas. We will definitely return and not hesitate to recommend.
Peaceful and relaxing
Karin and Matt have put a lot of effort into making the Coach House a very well-appointed place to spend a relaxing week. Being so close to facilities was so handy, yet you are tucked away in your own peaceful little niche with a lovely garden to sit and look at. We enjoyed the Indian restaurant and used the Spar shop every day. Tiddington is the ideal place from which to explore the local area, and we would recommend the Coach House as a very comfortable place to stay.
Karin and Matt were the ideal hosts, never intruding, but we felt they were there if we needed local advice or information.
