Absolutely fabulous cottage, decorated beautifully with a real 'seaside' feel and very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The outside space is a real plus point, large decked area with loads of seating and an awning, chiminea, loungers for relaxing in the sun and it's completely private. Ideal for families with young kids as you can close the gate and relax while they run around! Bedrooms all very comfortable and again beautifully decorated, Excellent location in Charmouth, the cottage is at the bottom of a quiet cul de sac but only 5 mins walk to the fossil beach and visitor centre. It's a stone's throw from the high street which has everything you need, gorgeous little bakery, nice cafe and village shop. The George pub has a great outdoor area at the back, again ideal for families with kids, decent pub grub very reasonably priced and great fun for the kids on the play equipment and also some goats to feed! We had a brilliant week at Seaspray, really lovely cottage to stay in, location is ideal both for exploring local village but also as a base for other beautiful areas nearby, we had days out at Durdle Door, Beer, Sidmouth and also Seatown which apart from Durdle Door(around 40 mins)are all very short car journeys. Would definitely recommend will definitely return!
We had a lovely stay at this quaint cottage in Charmouth. Location was ideal with a short walk to the beach and the town centre.
Cosy cottage with a seaside theme running throughout. very comfortable with lots of nice touches.Lovely garden which if we had had good weather would have been great to sit out in. We even had a go at fossil hunting with the little hammer left for us.
Parking spaces always great to see
Sweet little bungalow close to beach and Charmouth village
We had a nice week at Seaspray it's in a convenient location and although small is well set out
We had good communication with the owners and would stay again if deciding to go back to the ares
Seaspray holiday cottage
We really enjoyed our stay at Seaspray cottage again.
It had everything we needed, with decent size bedrooms, and fully equipped compact kitchen. The garden is very private, safe and south facing - the kids loved playing in it, and during our summer stay we ate outside on the decking in the evening sunshine. With beautiful views of the coastal hills to enjoy.
Charmouth is a perfect holiday destination, with Seaspray cottage ideally located on a quiet private road, within short walking distance to the beautiful beach, fossil centre, the village shops, pubs and restaurants (inc super fish n chip shop).
Lyme Regis is the neighbouring town with lots to explore and do, only 10 minute drive.
The whole Jurassic coast area is well worth visiting - so much to see.
Loved Seaspray, fabulous place! booking again soon
When we arrived and walked through the gates it was like walking into a seaside themed cottage.
The cottage felt very welcoming , clean and homely with its interior decorating and I loved all the bunting.
The bed was comfy and I enjoyed falling asleep watching tv. The kitchen was small but compact and even had a dishwasher. Again the bathroom was small but that was fine.
We were lucky enough to have a good day,s sunshine and so we just lazed around the decking and even had to use the awning ( that was useful ).
We liked the fact that there were a lot of places so near that we didn't need to use the car. We walked to the historic Charmouth Beach ( not really a walk as it only took 5 mins ) pleased to say I found a fossil, the fish and chip shop , the Royal Oak pub , the George pub (good pool table ) , the Nisa and more shops but I can't remember them. We took the scenic beach walk from Charmouth to Lyme Regis and that took us about 45 mins . Would definitely recommend a day mooching around Lyme with all its pretty shops.
We used the car to travel to Go Ape in Haldon Forest , near Exeter ( 40 mins drive). That was a brilliant afternoon.
One night it was really chilly outside and so we got the fire going and that made it feel really cosy.
Sadly our stay had come to the end and we didn't want to leave. We will definitely come again as it was such a lovely place to stay in such a great location and there are still so many places we didn't get round to seeing . We would definitely recommend it to our friends and family.
Homely, cosy cottage in great location
My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful few days at this delightful cottage in a fabulous location just a few minutes from the sea. It is quietly situated at the end of a no through lane that has pubs, shops and a very good fish and chip shop just along the high street.
The cottage itself is well equipped and although the kitchen and bathroom are compact we had everything we needed. The cottage has some thoughtful touches and a lovely south facing patio for al fresco meals and for sunbathing in private. We had such a relaxing stay we have booked to return this summer!
