About Ann Doherty

This is my home for 6 months of the year. My work takes me away for the summer months. I'm sure you'll enjoy my house as much as I do.

Ann Doherty purchased this cottage in 2006

Why Ann Doherty chose County Clare

I grew up in this area and I built this house in 2006 because I loved the site and remember visiting it when I was a kid

I love to go for walks towards Doonagore Castle down to Doolin beach to watch the sunset or along the coast walkway to Cliffs of Moher.

What makes this cottage unique

Situated on a quiet road, ideal for walking or cycling, yet only 10 to 15 min walk to restaurants, pubs and shops

Wonderful house and great location

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed in lots of holiday homes over the years and this was the best. Fabulous location with great views, beautiful gardens and a great house. Comfortable and so well equipped and the welcome from Ann was great - apple pie and supplies to start off our stay without needing to find a shop straight away. Great for exploring the Burren and visiting the beaches of Fanore and Lahinch. And evenings up on the top floor or on the bench in the garden watching the sun set over the Aran Islands and watching the hanging views of Connemara mountains will never be forgotten. Hope to be back here soon!

An amazing and beautiful place!

  • 5 of 5

From our arrival when we were greeted with a cup of tea and freshly baked apple tart we didn't find a single thing that disappointed!

The house was beautifully located with everything we needed including toiletries and condiments.

The sun was shining at some point most days in our week long visit.

There was lots to see on our "doorstep" including The Burren, the Aran islands and lots of beautiful towns like Ennis which we visited for the Fleadh.

We were out every day walking and sightseeing by car but it was always a pleasure to return to this wonderful property!

Ann thank you so much!

Wonderful home!

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous welcome from the owner made us feel right at home from the start. Very well equipped and comfortable house in a great location. We were there with our 2 kids aged 9 and 10 plus my 80 year old mum and we all loved it. Would definitely recommend it as a great base for exploring county Clare and beyond.

An amazing home with an incredible host!

  • 5 of 5

I've been fortunate to have utilized VRBO around the globe and Ann is by far the most thoughtful and caring host I've ever encountered. From the moment you walk into her home, you know you are in for a treat. Fresh apple pie, breakfast and lunch staples and a home packed with all the creature comforts; she literally has thought of everything! I own my own VRBO property and took notes while I was here to improve the experience for my guests. It really was a joy to stay here.

Amazing propety and amazing owner

  • 5 of 5

This is an amazing property. It is immaculately maintained, and Ann is extremely customer oriented. She was very understanding when we made a scheduling error, and was a pleasure to do business with. The upstairs has sweeping views of the coast, and is just a 2-3 minute drive from Doolin. There is a creek in the back yard, and a nice picnic table in the back for outdoor meals in the fresh air.
