Apartment in Exeter, South Devon, England - Great Centre For Day Trips To The West Country Coast, Moors And Tourist Attractions

Family groups or 2 couples with children can be accommodated in this conveniently located and spacious apartment which has an allocated parking space in the gated basement car park. For access to electronic entertainment, there is Wi-Fi and a TV with Freeview channels and an integrated DVD player. The apartment has 2 bedrooms with comfortable king - sized double beds and there is an ensuite shower room to the main bedroom as well as a family bathroom. The kitchen is well appointed, complete with dishwasher and washer - dryer, microwave, cooker and fridge- freezer to make holiday self-catering as easy as possible. The living room is bright with windows facing north and east and, in addition, it has access through French doors to a walk - on balcony giving views south towards Northernhay Gardens. From the bright Master bedroom which has views south and east, there are views towards the city centre and Northernhay Gardens through the French doors with Juliet balcony.

The property sleeps four in the two double bedrooms with king -sized (five foot width) beds. For an extra charge, an additional person can be accommodated.

For this person there is a comfortable guest bed. This is erected and made up by yourselves in a location to suit your needs - either in the lounge or in the Master Bedroom. Linen for the double beds and guest bed is provided. The double beds are made up for your convenience on your arrival and the linen is removed and laundered for you on your departure. However, if the guest bed is used for a 5th person you are asked before your departure to remove the bedding and replace the bed where stored.

Tea towels, bath mats and pot holders are also provided. Please bring your own hairdryer, bath towels and swimming towels. You are asked to leave the accommodation clean and tidy as found. Note that if requested at the time of booking, exit cleaning at an additional charge can also be provided. Regret no pets can be accepted.

This is also a very central location for visits to Exeter on business. For a group of up to three people visiting Exeter on business, this is also a convenient apartment as each person can have their own room and a single guest bed can be put up in the lounge. I have been asked if younger children can stay so I'm now offering family groups with children of all ages a chance to holiday in surroundings where parents can attend their holiday training course and the grandparents can take the children out and about so everyone can find something that will amuse and delight them. The apartment does have an allocated parking place in a gated covered location under the adjacent apartment block nearby but there's no car needed as the location is so conveniently located for the Exeter High Street, the Cathedral and Exeter Quays and it is within easy walking distance of Exeter’s Main Bus station and also the Exeter Central train station which links to the Main line station at Exeter St. David’s Station. Also a short taxi ride away is Exeter airport with direct services to many international and national destinations including London City Airport!

Unfortunately due to the family friendly nature of the property, you are requested not to book this property if anyone in the group smokes. Smoking isn't allowed in the building or on the balcony and there is nowhere convenient to smoke in the vicinity of the building. Please note that whilst children are welcome to stay, there is no outside space for them to play in with direct access from the apartment. Also, as the flat has 2 balconies, parents are responsible for keeping the balcony doors locked or for supervising their children if they allow them access to the balconies.

I bought this property as I would like to live there when I retire from my job in Bristol as a Chartered Engineer and I enjoy being in Exeter and love the great location of this apartment. It also has ease of access for people with young children or the elderly as there is level access from the street (no stairs or steps) and yet the windows and balconies are not at ground floor level so offer a degree of privacy and security and have views over towards Northernhay Gardens and the city.

Why Sheena Baird chose Mid Devon

I chose this location as it makes a great holiday or business base as there is something here for all the family, whatever their ages. Teenage children are especially hard to entertain when on a family holiday so a City break could be the answer. The apartment, with its allocated parking space, is within 4 minute's walk of the High Street and the Princesshay shopping Centre and also, from John Lewis' flag ship department store. There is easy access to the University, theatres, and the cultural and tourist attractions of Exeter itself such as the Quays and the Cathedral. For trips further afield, Exeter has good transport links by motorway, train, bus and even the airport is within a few miles. Exeter is the Gateway to the West Country coast, moors and attractions like Crealy adventure park.

"We have used Exeter as our base for summer holidays for the last 30 years and without doubt your apartment is one of the best we have stayed in. It is very convenient for shops, the museum, public transport and eating out. The flat is modern, well appointed and comfortable, also access from street level is very easy but at same time secure. As three adults sharing a holiday we had plenty of room. The two bathrooms were a distinct advantage, the living room comfortable and if we wished to eat in the kitchen had all one would need." An Excellent Holiday!

We've enjoyed our stay in Exeter, the house is really comfortable. We are 4 members in my family. My daughters have had fun. The house is very clean and there is an excellent wi-fi. The kitchen had the right equipment. The both toilets were well maintained and clean. Well located , it´s five minutes to the city centre and the central station.

Super flat within walking distance of City Center

The apartment was as described, it was clean and comfortable, larger than expected rooms with lots of natural light, easy access straight from the pavement level, all modern amenities available to use if required, lovely comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Highly

recommended, would definitely use again.

First of all it was a pleasure dealing with the owner, Sheena. She couldn't have been more helpful.

The apartment is perfect: in the centre of Exeter but at the same time very quiet; spacious and with a well equipped kitchen; two nice bathrooms; high-speed internet connection; a secured and easily accesible car parking space; and the most confortable beds I have ever encountered in a rented appartment.

I don't think there is any better available.

Comfortable flat in strategic position

I have been in this flat for one week in August with my family of 7 people (my husband and me, my three children aged 6, 4 and 2 and my parents). The apartment was really comfortable and well organised for all of us, with new furniture and a well-equipped kitchen. Its position in Exeter is strategic: very short walking distance to the center full of shops of any kind (High Street, Cathedral and surrounding area), to the Central railway station and to the Bus Station. My children had a lot of fun at the Crealy Adventure Park, situated at a 20 min bus ride (bus 52) from the Bus Station. But all the family also enjoyed going for a walk or shopping in the city center or near the quay (this latter situated at about 15-20 walking distance from the flat).

Sheena, the flat owner, was really nice and attentive in providing me with all the relevant information and details about the flat and related services. She answered promptly to every question.

I can strongly recommend this flat also for families with children.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure having this lovely Italian family with three generations to stay . The flat seemed to be spacious enough for them all! It is in such a central location in Exeter that even without a car they could find many attractions within walking distance, or like Crealy only a short bus ride away. There is an allocated car parking space included with the flat for those with their own transport . The flat has internet Wifi and can suit people visiting Exeter on business trips as well as families from UK and abroad.
