About Alix Brewer

We have spent many weeks in Combe Martin at our parents home with our three children, exploring the different beaches and rock pools and different days out in the area.

We have also been on many different walks around the area so any advice you would like on the area please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Alix Brewer purchased this bungalow in 2012

Why Alix Brewer chose Combe Martin

We bought our parents place because it is in such a fantastic location with superb views out to sea that we couldn't let the property leave the family. It also means we still get the opportunity to visit from time to time.

What makes this bungalow unique

Once you arrive at the property you can park up at the property and leave your vehicle for the duration of the stay. Everything in Combe Martin is within walking distance. The beach, shops, plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs to choose from.

The USP is definitely the view - you will not be disappointed!

Guestbook comments from the manager

“Beautiful house, fantastic views”

This lovely house has been decorated to a very high standard. All the equipment is excellent - kitchen is brilliant and showers were great.

The little terraced garden is nicely planted and very colourful (in July). It is enclosed, and dog proof.

The road up to the house is very narrow and steep and the older people in our party preferred to go to and fro in the car if they could. However the view over the sea, beach and town is well worth the climb.

The bakery in Combe Martin bakes real bread and cakes - really good.

The "Royal Marine" is a very good value carvery.

The coast paths are wonderful for walking and Combe Martin is very close to Exmoor for other walks.

“An immaculate property with fabulous sea views”

We were more than pleased when we arrived at St Crispins to find a very well presented and equipped property. The welcoming tea tray with milk and biscuits etc was also much appreciated.

Amazing Views

  • 4 of 5

Stayed for a week but would have liked a lot longer. The weather was kind to us, and bay was fabulous - so much to explore. The property must have the best views in Combe Martin and we were quite happy simply sitting on the veranda and watching the bay, the sunsets and coastal life! Splendid. The large lounge area of the property with the magnificent views was the prime feature of the property. Loved it.

In a superb position and very comfortable

  • 4 of 5

This is a very comfortable and well equipped property with all you need for a good break. It is well equipped, clean and has superb views. If the weather had been better we would have had to be dragged from the front terrace overlooking the bay.

It is in easy reach of some shops and pubs so all you need is on the doorstep, save for a bit of a steep climb to the house itself.

We enjoyed it.

Excellent location

  • 5 of 5

The house was very well equipped and spacious. We couldn't get enough of the view over the bay which was spectacular. Also Coombe Martin was close to some other excellent beaches if you wanted to explore the area. We would highly recommend the property.

Fantastic 2nd time around!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed this summer and loved it so much we came again at the end of October. The sun shone and it was beautiful. We were even treated to an amazing firework display on Halloween. A wonderful place we will definitely return.

Excellent property and location, brilliant view!

  • 5 of 5

This was an excellent holiday for four of us. We really enjoyed staying at the property, the prospect from the lovely front room is outstanding, across the sea inlet and village. The property was just as described, and there were some welcome treats. There were also lots of good guides for local things to do, although it would have also been useful to provide so e guidance on recycling options. The superb location means it's just slightly separate from the main part of Combe Martin, and just in Exmoor National Park, but so close that it's only very short walk into some nice pubs and restaurants. Direct access onto two long distance footpaths was also a great bonus. Thanks for a great Holiday!

Fantastic property

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a weeks stay at St Crispins. What a fabulous property, can not fault it, very well equipped I dont think there was anything missing, very spacious accomodation with fabulous views and in a lovely village setting that had many places to eat, gift shops, butchers, a couple of pubs, convenience stores (some more pubs about 1/4 mile down the road). The beach is a mixture of sand and shingles with a seperate bit where dogs can go. It is very convenient for the award winning Woolacombe beach which is absolutely beautiful, lots of other beaches/coves nearby and a lovely coastal walk just down the road from the property takes you up on the hills with amazing views, (you need to be reasonably fit and take some sensible shoes because on the way down its a bit of a mud bath lol) Would definetly recommend this property
