Seaside House in Muo, very close to the old town of Kotor. Peaceful location.

This seaside home is situated in a peaceful location with access to a boatdock, only a five minue drive or 20 minute walk to the town of Kotor with its historic sites, bustling old town and abundance of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. What makes this property special is that it is within easy walking distance of Kotor, but yet far enough away from the often noisy bustle, especially during the high season and on weekends. From our house and its spacious terrace you have spectacular views of Kotor old town and its fortifications, the bay of Kotor as well as the surrounding mountains. Our house is a semi-detached, two-story villa situated directly on the bay. The interior is modern and has an open living arrangement, with the living room and dining area situated on the ground floor and leading onto the large terrace. The bedrooms are located on the first floor. The master bedroom has a large double bed, a balcony and faces the bay, while the second bedroom has two single beds and faces the back.

My family and I live in Germany most of the time and we purchased our house in Montenegro in early 2012. While we aim to spend time in Montenegro as much as possible, for most of the year we are happy to offer our little place of paradise to interested holiday-makers.

Montenegro is a very small country but with stunning natural beauty and lots of culture. We first visited Montenegro in 2009 and fell in love with this newly independent country, with its stunning coastline and mountainous hinterland.

What makes this house unique

Our house is situated directly on the bay of Kotor, so its possible to take a swim before breakfast. The proximity to the UNESO world heritage listed town of Kotor also means that all amenities and cultural sites of interest are only a very short distance away, including restaurants and shops.

Notes on accommodation: The house comes fully equipped and all rooms have air-conditioning. Outside: The house comes equipped with outdoor furniture (table, chairs and sunrest). There is no swimming pool but the bay of Kotor only a stones throw away invites for bathing. The large outside terrace includes a small wetbar with running water and a barbeque grill. Part of the terrace is coverd by vines providing shade on hot summer days. Utility Room: There is a utility room behind the house. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house comes fully equipped with linens, towels and so forth. The house is cleaned on a weekly basis or between rentals, but special arrangements can be made at the customers expense.

Lovely comfortable house with easy access to Kotor and surrounding area

Girls holiday- we all loved staying here. Very comfortable and spacious with a lovely large balcony overlooking the bay and well equipped. We enjoyed sitting in the balcony at night and taking in the sights of the lovely fort lit up at night and having breakfast out there too. Easy walking distance to Kotor or taxi for €3/4 and convenient location to travel further afield by car .

Christian was very helpful and kept in contact with us all throughout our holiday and also when we returned; giving us lots of helpful ideas for sightseeing and restaurants and the best way of getting from Dubrovnik. Duskos was also at hand and again really helpful with things to do and eating places.

Would highly recommend this house for its brilliant location and comfort.

Amazing - lovely property - ideal location

We loved our time at Christians gorgeous home, and wished we could stay much longer!

Everything in the house you would ever need, parking out front (bit awkward, but not a big deal), 2min drive to a supermarket, 4min drive from Kotor town. Loved just sitting, watching the cruise ships come in and out from the front porch til all hours of the night. Perfect location for most of the hotspots in MNE, national parks etc ... and close enough to nip across to Croatia for the day.

A fantastic landscape looking over to Kotor day and night... will definitely be booking again.

Excellent, modern and spacious accommodation in a stunning setting.

I would highly recommend the property as it is exceptionally well equipped and spacious. The property was well maintained and clean with a full range of modern appliances. The owner, Christian, was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. The property is in a magnificent setting, alongside the waters of Kotor Bay, ideal for an early morning swim in the crystal clear water.

We stayed for two weeks and there was plenty to do and see within easy reach. Kotor Town, a World Heritage site, is a brisk 20 minute walk away. Local shops are within a 10 minute walk from the property, in either direction, and there is a range of facilities in Kotor. We enjoyed several drives into the surrounding area to take in the spectacular views.

We found the arrival of different cruise ships each morning gracefully passing our bedroom window a real novelty. From the property, there were excellent walks either alongside the Fiord west, up to the Ferry crossing. For the more adventurous you could walk up the old mule track to get a fantastic view down into Kotor town and surrounding area. A “must do” is the walk up the old fortress above Kotor town. This climb is quite steep but armed with bottles of water and taking a steady pace to the top you will be rewarded with fantastic views of the old town and dock area.

We cooked a few meals at the property, sitting out on the terrace under the shade of the grape vines overlooking the Fjord. On the occasion when we ate out we ventured into Kotor town where there were a variety of eating establishments. There is a very good restaurant, 'Ladovina', just 15 minute walk from the property, towards Kotor, which we used on a number of occasions.

We flew into Tivat airport, which is just 15 minutes drive away. Although, it’s so close you cannot hear any noise from it once you are in Kotor Bay. We hired a car but it would be easy to get around using taxi, local buses or boats.

Great Accommodation, Stunning Location.

The house is situated in Muo, just across the bay from Kotor. It has amazing views and is well equipped and felt like a home from home.

We loved relaxing on in the porch area and sunbathing on the jetty, occasionally going into the sea. The beautiful Kotor old town is a 20 mins walk which has numerous cafés, bars and restaurants. A taxi back from Kotor cost €3.

The beach at Plavi Horizonti is a 15 minute drive away, also beautiful, with a good restaurant and plenty of sun loungers.

I would thoroughly recommend this property for its stunning location, comfort and facilities.

Stylish waterfront home with spectacular views.

We had the pleasure of staying at Christian’s property on the fjord at Muo from 20th to 25th August 2016. The property is ideally situated by the water and within walking distance of the old town. We were met by Emilija and Dusko who were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The house is well equipped and furnished to a high standard. It has a lovely ground floor terrace and a first floor bedroom balcony with spectacular views of Kotor. The owner remained in contact with us throughout our stay and was responsive to all our enquiries. This is a wonderful property, stylishly decorated and in a beautiful location which we would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable base to explore the region.

Fabulous holiday

We had a fantastic time staying in Kotor. The house has an amazing view of the bay and it was incredibly relaxing to watch the boats go by. It was well-equipped with everything we needed. It was also a lovely 20 minute walk into the old town of Kotor which is very pretty and has some lovely places to eat. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to our friends.

The coastline of the Bay of Kotor is only five meters away from the house and tenants have access to a private boat dock which invites for sunbathing and swimming. The nearest beaches are a only a few kilometers away, including isolated and secluded beaches as well as the large and famous beaches of Jaz, Budva and Sveti Stefan.


Muo and Kotor are easily accessible from Dubrovnik airport (two hours drive), Podgorica (one hours drive) and Tivat (20 minutes drive).


Muo is only a five minutes drive from the town of Kotor. Tivat is 15 minutes away and Budva is 20 minuites away. Other places of interest include Sveti Stefan, Lovcen National Park and of course the entire coastline of Montenegro and southern Croatia.

Only a five minutes drive away from the UNESCO listed old town of Kotor, with its old churches and buildings and an abundance of restaurants and shops. The new marina of Porto Montenegro with its stylish shops, restaurants and soon to open world class hotel is also only a short distance away. Cancellation Policy:
For cancellations made a month before the day of arrival, the entire rent, including the downpayment, will be reimbursed.
For cancellations made less than a month but two weeks before the day of arrival, the downpayment will be kept.
For cancellations made less than two weeks before the day of arrival, 50% of the entire rental price will be kept.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
