Cosy 1 BR cottage, near Port Isaac, coastal walks, woods, beaches, pets welcome
Appletree Cottage is a tastefully renovated quarryman’s' cottage, perfect for 2 adults, looking for a relaxing break . Regretfully not suitable for children, although small babies (ie not crawling ) are fine, with own equipment.
.Situated in the peaceful hamlet of Newhall Green it is conveniently located for the numerous attractions of the North coast , beaches and coastal path. Helland Barton woods just 5 minutes down the lane with riverside walks and trails ideal for walking the dog, also nice walks along the lanes outside the cottage. The cottage is furnished in a simple country style, with original art, country furniture and inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove , logs included . A secure ( for dogs) courtyard garden to the front of the cottage gets morning sun and is full of pots of flowers in season - a nice spot for breakfast! The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need, plus some pantry items . I can also accept grocery deliveries for you with prior notice. There is a dining table and chairs for 2.
The living room is cosy, with plenty of magazines and books, freesat tv, and art to look at. Comfy sofa with throw and large armchair to relax in.
The bedroom is light and airy with vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, wardrobe and lots of storage for your things. The bed is very comfortable and has cotton bed linens freshly ironed ( by me !) with down duvet and pillows. Polyester duvet available if preferred. Extra blanket available and dual control electric blanket for the cooler months. The bathroom is spacious and situated right opposite the bedroom making it virtually en suite. Towels are provided. Dog towels too!
Visitors remark that it feels like a "home from home" and not the usual sparse holiday let.
.A lovely romantic retreat in the heart of North Cornwall majestic scenery, cosy and comfortable in all seasons,an ideal base for exploring or just relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. The coastal path, beaches and Bodmin Moor are within easy reach.Port Isaac with its' many restaurants, cafes and shops is just 10/15 minutes away. The new series of Poldark is being made in various locations around Cornwall this year. You could also see the now world famous Fishermans Friends singing on Port Isaac Harbour on Friday evenings in the summer (weather permitting)

Wonderful Cottage and surrondings
Ideal cottage for our stay over Easter. Perfect for my wife and our 6 month old cocker polo Bella. Cottage is nicely decorated and we made good use of the wood burner as the weather wasn’t great for most of the week, but that didn’t damped our spirits. Plenty of beaches and woodland to walk the dog who had never been on a beach or seen the sea before! Appletree cottage had everything we needed including a washing machine. With Francesca (the owner) being just across the road, anything we needed or directions to beaches were at our finger tips. The cottage had tv and WiFi. Altogether a great find for us and we will be returning perhaps in the autumn. Thank you Francesca. Simon and Julia Redwood, and Bella too!
We had a lovely stay in this cottage a real home from home. Really cosy and all you need for your stay. Good location to vist other places along the coast.
Great get away an ideal location for visiting the area without the noise and bustle of the towns

Daymer has one of the areas best kite surfing and wind surfing locations.Port Isaac, 6 miles by car, has several pubs, restaurants and some nice small shops.Nathan Outlaw has 2 outstanding restaurants here, specialising in the wonderful local seafood and produce.
Tintagel is 6 miles up the coast with it's Castle ( reputed to be King Arthurs' ) and lovely walks along the coastal path. Further up are great beaches around Bude - in fact you are spoilt for choice in the area when it comes to which beach to go to !
The Eden project is about a 40 minute drive and is well worth a visit.
There are many marvellous gardens within easy reach - too numerous to mention, but the Lost Gardens Of Heligan must be top of the list. There are 3 Stately homes not far, Pencarrow House, Lanhydrock and Prideux Place.
