Our Scottish Holiday

  • 4 of 5

Hi Jo

Thank you for sharing your home. It was very clean, comfortable and very welcoming. We had a lovely holiday with our family, who had great fun playing board games around your big dining table. The drives to Oban, Lochgilphead and especially the Isle of Arran were amazing and it was lovely to finish our days off at the Lord of the Isles pub.

Wonderful house, beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We came to stay in the house with four small children, and I can really say the house was wonderful: the right size, perfectly equipped, very clean etc; the location was also beautiful with views of wonderful sunsets over the mountains and lochs, and there was lots to do nearby. Even the weather was reasonable for the west coast - we would love to return, especially if sunshine can be guaranteed!

Great place to get away from it all .

  • 5 of 5

We spent a relaxing week at No 8. The beds were so comfortable and the whole cottage was tastefuly decorated . We spent several evenings watching the sun set over the marina. We enjoyed days out to Oban, Mull and Iona. Cycling on the Crinan canal with its beautiful scenery is well worth doing . We had a couple of meals in the The Lord of the Isles and the food was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were 5 friends staying in the cottage for 10 days. It is located in a little village by the sea. When we arrived the cottage was very clean, cosy and perfectly prepared for us. The Owner Jo was very friendly and always available by phone whenever we had a question. Great service!

Craobh Haven is located perfectly if you want to take day trips with a car or go and explore different islands by boat. Oban, one of the bigger cities at the west coast is just a 30 minute drive away.

We went to the local pub quite a few times which I would highly recommend. It serves delicious food, especially dishes with seafood in it (it's all fresh).

Over all a great cottage with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Tranquiland stunning

  • 5 of 5

We arrived for a short break and found the home easily. It is nestled amongst a few other quaint houses and there is a small lane which runs in front of them.

Parking is to the rear of the house and overlooks the marina.

On entering the house we were very pleasantly surprised at how spacious and clean it is.My first word was one of "wow" as it truely is a stunning but comfy home from home.

The house has 3 very spacious bedrooms of which one is a twin room. The beds were made up with lovely white linen and the room decor is all soft colour schemes. The main double bedroom at the front of the house has some lovely period furniture which really fits in beautifully. There are built in wardrobes as well so there is plenty of storage for your clothing and somewhere to store your suitcases.

The bathroom is quaint and has a bath with a shower incorporated and wash basin with low level wc.There are towels supplied which are again beautifully white and super soft.A shaver socket is just outside the bathroom so can be accessed easily.

The main lounge/dining area is split level and open plan. The lounge is to the front of the house and has 2 large sofas and an armchair. There is a flat screen tv with freeview should a rainy day keep you indoors. There is a fireplace with a heater that warms the room quickly. There is central heating which we only used once and the house became so warm that we had to turn it off after an hour. The windows to the front are in the semi circular front elevation and give good views up and down the lane.

On the lower level of the room is the dining area which has a table and chairs that will seat 6 people comfortably. There is a sideboard that houses literature on places to visit of interest and there is also the owners guide to how to work appliances within the home. There is then a door to the kitchen which has all appliances that you would need if you are self catering. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine and kitchen linen is supplied. The vie from the kitchen window overlooks the car park and then the marina and the hills beyond for many miles. Back through into the dining area and there is a doorway to the conservatory at the rear of the house. This has wicker furniture and we spent many hours in the evening sitting watching the sun set as it was always warm and comfy sat there. We would watch boatmen repairing the yachts and also setting sail on sunny days. It really is idyllic and peaceful and such a comfortable house
