Seaglass, Heybrook Bay is the perfect place to get away from it all!
Seaglass is a well-equipped holiday house in a stunning setting. As all the living accommodation is all on one level it is perfect if you have young children; they are never far away. The open plan living / dining / kitchen works really well for a sociable family holiday and there is everything that you need.
The owners have put a lot of thought into the contents of the house and there were lots of toys for the children as well as books for every age group. In the children’s bedroom there was also a tv (as in the adult bedrooms too) with built-in DVD player and a huge box of appropriate dvds - perfect. Just right for winding down time after a busy day outdoors. We loved the the deck and balcony with awesome views of the bay - you could never grow tired of looking at this. There was a range of seating outside to make the most of the sun. The children’s part of the garden is at the top of the property and there was plenty of equipment for when we weren’t at the beach. The house was very clean and welcoming. Sarah and Ed were friendly and helpful and made you feel, both before we went and when we arrived that nothing was too much trouble. We loved early morning trips to the bay for treasure (shell and pebble!) hunting and walks along the coastal path. The property is also close to Saltram House and Buckland Abbey, two very different National Trust properties. Plymouth, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth are all in easy reach for a day out. Bigbury-on-Sea is the perfect beach with beautiful views of Burgh Island. We would thoroughly recommend this property - Sarah and Ed have a made this place a real gem!
Great property, terrific location and fantastic views!
We had a great stay at Sea Glass! The beach at Bovisand was fantastic and the evening walks along the coastal path were idyllic. Perfectly positioned for short trips in to Plymouth as well as longer day trips to Salcombe and Burgh Island etc. A really great holiday home where you can be as busy and active or as relaxed and cut off as you want to be...the best of both!

Wonderful family house with fantastic sea views
Seaglass is a really well-equipped, spacious and comfortable family home and Sarah and Ed are absolutely lovely. The sea views from the house and garden are breath taking and there is so much to do in the area. We had a really happy week there and would love to return.
Peaceful coastal retreat
We stayed at Seaglass for a week in august with our two children. It was a beautiful house in a lovely location, with a fantastic view of the coast from the lounge and balcony.
There were excellent coastal walks just on the door step and Lots of good attractions a short drive away.
Penywell Farm was great for the kids, and Becky Falls was beautiful.
The beds were very comfortable and the cottage had all the facilities we needed.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage, and we intend to return ourselves.
We have just had the most wonderful week at Seaglass. The property is beautifully decorated, very clean, modern and very comfortable. The views are outstanding and the situation of the property makes it so easy to just spend the day on the deserted, (don't know why,) beautifully peaceful beach which is just a short walk away. The sandy beach has amazing rock pools. We also had a few meals at The Eddistone pub nearby, which were good. The Mussel inn in Down Thomas was also very good. Our party included grandparents x2, our son & granddaughter aged 5 who adored the chickens. Thanks to Sarah & Ed for giving us such a lovely week. Can really recommend this great holiday home, but if you do go to Heybrook Bay beach, don't tell everyone because it is also very special.
The nearest beach is on your doorstep only 300 Meters Walk away and within a mile along the coastal path to the east is the National Trust beach at Wembury and to the west the beach at Bovisand, both with toilets and café/shop.
