Master bedroom has en suite, there is a large family bathroom and a shower room. There are two public rooms and a large dining kitchen. Set in extensive, mature, well maintained grounds the property is accessed by electric gates. BBQ area, private pool with outdoor shower facilities and plenty of seating can be found behind the villa. A balcony stretches across the front. There are cots, high-chairs and life jackets available and the pool is regularly serviced. This is an Italian family home and the floors are tiled throughout. Metal shutters on each window give protection from the sun and provide added security. With stunning views of mountains, villages and farmland this is an idyllic setting for a relaxing holiday with family and friends or a base to explore Rome, Naples, Pompeii and the surrounding areas.
Hello my name is Marina and my husband is Joe. We are both of Italian origin and would love to show you the real Italy deep in the South with our beautiful villa, a family home for many years. The villa is a very special place to us and we wish to share with you. Joe's family and mine are from the area and have holidays there every year. We love meeting new people if we are staying there at the same time and we are only too happy to help with anything during your stay, to make sure you have a great relaxing holiday.
Marina Treta purchased this villa in 1991
We built the house ourselves with help from Joe's father, the villa was built with great passion and care. We did this so we and our family will always have roots in their homeland Italy. It is peaceful and private and will open up the real Italy to all those Italian lovers.
This property has everything you need and is very easy access to Rome our Naples and the Amalfi coast by car or train. There are plenty of Supermarkets a new Hospital and plenty of places to eat . We are not far from the sea coast about 45 minutes by car down the motorway. But most of all we offer peace ,privacy and tranquillity away from the bustle of life to choose whenever you wish on your holiday.
We enjoyed an outstanding holiday in luxury at the villa. Having our own pool was amazing! - Robyn and Scott
As we were a family party there for 70 birthday celebrations we loved the space. There was plenty of room throughout the villa for quiet places for all. We particularly loved the large kitchen as ate in a lot with all the wonderful local produce. We were given a very warm welcome by family relatives and great local information on restaurants and other interests.
The pool was the main reason for booking the villa and the villa's relative proximity to Rone airport. The pool was immaculately kept by Stefano and set in a lovely garden. We loved the table tennis table too.
It was fun to be in the countryside with the sound of goat bells in the mornings and evenings.
It was a very happy week for us all and much recommend it.
The villa is as described and is in a quiet location. It has well maintained gardens and has good views of the surrounding countryside. The swimming pool is clean and regularly checked. We were met my the owners' representative for handover of keys and instructions at the start of our holiday and again at the end of our stay. We had a great holiday and the pool was a great hit with our grown up children. The villa is near to the autostrada so places like Caserta, Pompeii, Naples, Montecassino and Rome are within easy reach. We have relations living close by and the villa was a good base to go visiting and to have them round for a BBQ. The villa is well equipped if you want to cook but is within a reasonable driving distance of local restaurants and agrotourismos. The information pack in the villa is very useful giving ideas for days out. This is the second time we have stayed here and we would highly recommend this property for just chilling out or as a base for sightseeing.
We came to Villa Treta as a family group of eight, our ages from 6 to 80, and we all felt immediately at home in the special place which is Villa Treta. With family nearby in Cervaro and Capella Morrone the location was perfect for us. For those of you who pass by this location thinking you don't recognise it or that it's too far from any town you recognise - don't. If you want a taste of the real Italy visit Villa Treta - Rome,Naples and Pompeii are all easily reached. A day at the beach only 25 minutes away or spend a day exploring the villages and small towns around Villa Treta and you won't be disappointed. We were only sorry we didn't stay longer - with family to see and a wedding to go to we were out more than in but the day we did spend at home around the pool was just perfect. The villa has everything you might need - it is clean and very comfortable. Marina who was back in England when we visited was available and responsive to any requests we made and her family in Italy were warm and welcoming. Mille Grazie da Marisa Ian e tutti noi. Fino alla prossima Volta......until next time xx
The Villa was every bit as described, carefully prepared and clean throughout. Situated in a very picturesque and quiet location with far reaching views. The large well maintained swimming pool was a great attraction and was well used. My 4 year old Grandson made great progress learning to swim. Considering the climate the gardens were in lovely condition. A car, preferably fitted with Sat Nav, is an absolute must as the local village which has a good supermarket and there's also a weekly market are too far to walk. Main tourist attractions, Rome and Naples & nearest coast etc, are an hour plus drive from the Villa. I would have no reservations about returning to the Villa in the future.
Six of us, including three generations, spent two wonderful weeks at the villa. It is large and well-furnished, with a huge swimming-pool in pleasant surroundings. The pool was well-used as the weather was extremely hot. The kitchen was quite well stocked - we bought a sharp knife and some extra mugs but found everything else for our needs.
Marina and Joe - the owners - were very good to us and helpful in so many ways. They ( and their lovely dogs! ) made our stay even more enjoyable.
As well as visits to Pompeii, Herculanium and Rome, we explored more local historic towns. We found excellent food in the local supermarkets and markets, and ended our stay with a superb meal at a restaurant whose name I can't remember!
It was by common consent a memorable holiday.
This was a perfect villa for a family holiday in rural ( but not isolated ) Italy. The villa was extremely well equipped for a family holiday , well maintained , comfortable and immaculately clean. There are plenty of shady terraces and having breakfast in the morning sunshine surrounded by views of the mountains was fabulous. The pool area was fenced/ gated for peace of mind surrounded by sun loungers perfect for family fun and was even lit for cool evening swims. We enjoyed trips to the coast , versuvius and Herculaenum ( approx 1 hour ) and local outings to Monte Cassino and with the owners for a guided tour of nearby mountain villages. There were plenty of restaurants within 10-15 minute drive for meals out and the owners ( discreetly on-site ) were able to make suggestions of places to visit and help with bookings . A car is essential. As this is a little off the beaten track we would have found it of benefit to bring detailed regional maps with us.
Driving to the beach is approximateley , 50 kilometres from the villa, an hours drive. Lots of information is held in our Villa book with info on excursions to Rome ,Naples, Pompei, Beaches and train destinations to Rome ect.
Rome airports are around 192 km and Naples is 92 km from the villa. From both airports the A1 takes you straight to San Vittore where you will be met by an escort who will guide you to the villa.
Mignano Monte Lungo is 10 mins by car and Cassino is 15 mins by car. Naples and Rome are within easy driving distance. There is a regular train service between Cassino and Rome.
There are activities for children such as a kids club providing Minirugby Horse riding, Orienteering, Mini Adventure Park, Mini Volley Ball, Mini Soccer, General Coordination Circuits, Laboratories about Nature, Mini Karate and
Learning about farms. La Starza offers wine tasting and a great authentic food.
