Apartment in Clopton, Nr. Woodbridge, Suffolk, England - Beautiful Location, Walking And Cycling From The Door
About Jane Stevensen
Jane and Adrian Stevensen took on Valley Farm House as a restoration project and have renovated the beautiful Tudor farmhouse and its adjacent outbuildings which incorporate the Hayloft and Barn with great care and attention to detail. A wonderful family home for their three sons to grow up in, with all the sailing and outdoor activities on their doorstep to experience. They love the glorious countryside they live in and enjoy exploring by bike or on foot as well as driving further afield to the fabulous Suffolk Heritage Coast.
Jane Stevensen purchased this Apartment in 1999
Why Jane Stevensen chose Clopton
We already loved the area and often visited for weekends to enjoy the unique combination of countryside and coast. When we saw the rambling Tudor farmhouse with its barns and old outbuildings, and its 10 acres of gardens and meadows, we knew it was the perfect place for us to live. It is the most wonderful part of the country with the huge skies, fabulous light and wide open spaces, and you soon understand why it is a magnet for artists, musicians, and writers.
What makes this Apartment unique
The Hayloft is tranquil and secluded, incredibly peaceful, but in fact easy to get to by road and rail and with great restaurants a short drive away. The perfect place for a short break, it offers a wonderfully luxurious base to get away from it all. You can play tennis on our private court or borrow bikes to explore at your leisure. Within easy reach are famous historical sites, wonderful walks, cycling routes and opportunities to get on the water with coastal sailing and river trips available. The arts are never far away with world class music at Aldeburgh, a wide variety of galleries and museums, and the UK's only working Regency theatre in Bury St Edmunds.

Comfortable but no wifi!
A lovely property very much as described except there is NO wifi/internet. Mobile signal very patchy and we were told a few times that the only coverage is Vodafone (which we had) but it was weak.
The Hayloft - a beautifully stylish hideaway
This tastefully decorated and furnished first floor barn conversion is amazingly tranquil. All furnishings and decor are modern and stylish and the accommodation is surrounded by open countryside. Comfortable distance from Thorpness, Southwold, Aldeburgh and Orford - all very nice indeed.
We met Biggles and Max - very welcoming - thank you. we'll be back x
Peaceful, spacious and stylish
We have just returned from a delightful stay at The Hayloft. The spacious, stylish first floor living space gives a lovely view across the fields across the road. Everything was of the highest quality. We hope to be back. Thank you, Jane.
