Hi. My name is Alison Peberday and I have been visiting Haraki for the last 23 years. Twelve ago I took the decision to buy myself an apartment there as I loved it so much. I live in Nottingham, England and enjoy two or three visits per year to Haraki on the lovely island of Rhodes. It really is home from home and the minute you step of the plane you feel at peace. I am happy to share my home with you and hope you find as much peace and enjoyment there as I do.

I chose Haraki above all other locations in Rhodes due to its peaceful location along with the stunning mountain & sea views. Away from the hustle bustle of the towns, its old fishing bay adds charm and tranquillity and its beauty is breathtaking, especially when the moon rises from behind the rocks or settles in the middle of the bay for which you feel you can walk across and touch it. The sunsets on the mountains - wonderful. Whilst set in tranquillity & beauty it is adorned with a selection of tavernas & bars which are situated on the bay overlooking the beach & sea. A must for lunches, evening meals or just a drink & to take it all in. Only 35 mins from the airport, 10 mins from Lindos & 40 mins from Rhodes town, it is Rhodes best kept secret and the perfect holiday base location.
Situated on the first floor, Haraki View is just what it says. Its the views that you will enjoy whether sitting on the front or rear balcony, with the sea & mountain views from the rear and the Feraklos castle ruins at the front, coupled with more mountain views & down into the bay of Haraki. It is close enough to amenities. The bay is only a 3 mins walk away & the tavernas are situated right along the beach front. Equipped for 2-4 people, the apartment offers a double bedroom, air conditioned, TV. Hair-dryer provided. The lounge area offers two sofas which convert into beds if needed. TV/DVD and I pod docking station. There is a dining table for 4. Kitchenette offering kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, slow cooker and hob. Beach towels are provided.
My wife & I stayed in this apartment July 2012. We found it ideal for our requirements. The apartment was very clean & well maintained with all the 'mod cons' you would need.
The views from the rear balcony are impressive with the sunset over the mountains on the right & the sea on the left & open countryside with a dry (in July anyway) river bed directly in front of you. From the front balcony you can see the castle ruins up on the hillside which is lit up on a night. A very relaxing place for a glass of wine on an evening before you go out & eat in one of the 4 or 5 tavernas overlooking the very small picturesque bay of Haraki.
If you want to use this as a base for exploring (as we did) then it is ideal for visiting the many historic places such as Lindos or the old town of Rhodes, or the miles of deserted beaches within walking or driving distance.
It is also ideal as a base for walking in the hills and villages, as we would like to go back to do, in the Autumn.

The apartment was perfect! Situated in Haraki, which is a quiet bay with friendly people, the apartment was well positioned, clean and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good contact was maintained by Alison, the owner, prior to the holiday and Carol, who greeted us and provided the linen and towel change was lovely and friendly. A great base to stay while exploring the island, with good restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Lindos and Rhodes Old Town are well worth visiting and nowhere is too far to travel by car. We particularly enjoyed Rhodes Old Town, about 30 mins by car and Agathi Beach, a lovely sandy beach, under 10 mins away by car. A lovey safe beach for children, too. In Haraki itself we particularly enoyed Da Vinci's Restaurant and Style Bar. In Rhodes Old Town, Symposium was a lovey atmospheric restaurant, with authentic Greek food and surroundings. We would recommend this apartment and this resort and look forward to visiting again in the future.
Haraki is a lovely unspoilt resort on Rhodes and Alison's apartment was a great base for us. The arrangements for renting the apartment from Alison were straightforward and Peter her agent on the island was also very pleasant and easy to deal with. The apartment had everything that we needed and was very spacious. The apartment is in a small block a five minute walk from the beach. There are restaurants and a supermarket close by which is very handy although we always walked down to the beach to eat there.
Very pleased with the apartment. It was light & spacious for the 2 of us & well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Very clean. Its only a couple of minutes from the bay where the beach & most bars & restaurants are located. There is a small food shop nearby which was handy. Would definitely recommend if you want an apartment in Haraki.
Lovely clean, well equipped holiday flat with beautiful views. Only slight downer is the noisy vespas on the road at night, but in the summer airconditioning and closed doors at night are advisable anyway. Alison has created a very comfortable home away from home with pleasing artwork and matching decorations.
The supermarket downstairs "Evas" is very useful and Eva herself is very friendly. The beach is really only three minutes walk away and was the perfect relaxing place for our two and a half weeks on Rhodes. Beautiful pebbles, fish swimming around your feet, interesting snorkeling all around the bay and never too crowded.
Haraki is perfectly situated for day trips in both directions. By car, Lindos is only 15 minutes away and Rhodes city 45 minutes drive. Feraklos castle is worth a pre-dawn stroll - the sunrise over Agathi bay is spectacular.
Maria's Taverna (1st on the right at the beach) was our favourite taverna with great grilled meat and fantastic seafood starters, but all the restaurants are worth a try.
Special interest holidays:
Walking tours are popular on Rhodes and can be arranged. There is also the opportunity for horse riding and wind-surfing.
Haraki Bay is just 3 mins walk away. A shingled beach with sunbeds, tavernas and bars. A beautiful swimming bay and peaceful location. No cars are allowed so safe for the children too!
If you prefer the sand, then Agathi beach is just 5 mins in the car or a 20 min walk and is a wonderful safe beach, again for the children as the water is very shallow and calm during the summer period.
Rhodes airport is 40 mins drive/taxi. You can arrange local car hire or book via the UK.
If it's your first trip a car is advisable just to enjoy as much of the island as possible. However there is a daily local bus service from Haraki to Lindos and Rhodes Town.
Two well known places to visit are Rhodes Town for its old mediaeval world heritage status port town and the new town it also offers.
Lindos is famous for its beautiful location and Acropolis. Take your wallets to both places as there is plenty of shopping to be done!
The Valley of the Butterflies is a cool location in the summer and the drive through is stunning in itself.
Southern Rhodes offers some brilliant scenery & beaches & a trip to Prassanissi is a must if you love your windsurfing!
