Our cottage is located in the lovely south Wilthshire countryside. The historic city of Salisbury is easily accessible. It has been decorated with oak flooring, antique furniture, leather sofas, large 3D LED TV/blu-ray player and cosy double-bed room with a four-poster bed. It has a spacious living/dining area, separate fitted kitchen and marble-tiled bathroom. The views from the flat are over pasture and forest. The forest is just over the road and great for walking, cycling and nature watching. A great touring base to Salisbury with its medieval cathedral which has the tallest spire in the UK, Stonehenge and a dozen other Neolithic and Bronze Age sites protected as UNESCO World Heritage sites, New Forest, Wilton House, Longleat House/Safari Park, Winchester's Gothic Cathedral, the historic dockyards in Portsmouth with Nelson's ship Trafalgar and the ferry to the Isle of Wight, as well surrounding picturesque villages and pubs. Good location to explore Hampshire, too.

pretty cottage in lovely area
Very comfortable living area and kitchen, pleasure to be there, quiet and relaxing. Compact sleep area but comfy bed and nice dark nights!
Beautiful setting so peaceful
We had such a lovely time. Great walks and cottage was really pretty. Perfect break
Peaceful and relaxing just what we needed
A lovely quiet location with friendly and helpful owners to welcome you. The upstairs to this property are fantastic, clean and beautifully furnished. The downstairs is equally clean and my only observation is the bedroom is a little small. This does not however detract from the benefits of being in the countryside and the tranquility this brings.
If the property was slightly more spacious downstairs (which could be achieved) it would be perfect but regardless of that it is not far off. The price is probably a little high for the property but in my opinion worth paying for.
We were met by the owner who was friendly and welcoming and I will definately return in the future.
Thank you for your lovely comment. We appreciate it and thank you for leaving the room so immaculate.
Quality apartment in beautiful setting
We have stayed in this apartment twice and will probably stay there again. The property in which the holiday home sits , although not used for this purpose now , is an equestrian one of about four acres. The surroundings are lovely, comprising open spaces, woods and older properties which are attractive. It sits on the edge of a woodland area of about 2,000 acres which is full of well surfaced tracks. When we stay the owners allow us to put our bikes in their outbuildings and we cycle in the wood across the road as well as around Burley in the New Forest , which is 40 minutes away.
The owners have prepared the property to a very high standard. Comparing it to an hotel I would say it is four or five star. The lounge / dining space has a lovely wood floor and very nice leather sofas and this space is very large for two people. The kitchen is quite large and well equipped and perfectly adequate for the preparation of any meal. The bedroom is small , to be fair, but for us the scale of the social spaces and general quality compensates. The cost is maybe slightly higher than an hotel room per night but the overall space you get is probably double, you don't have to eat out every night and you can watch tv if you wish on a large screen like at home.
Stepping outside after dark we noticed that the night sky is amazing. I don't know if it is quality of air or lack of light pollution but we could see far more stars than if we stepped outside at home.
From this location there is lots to do even if you don,t like to cycle or walk. The city of Salisbury has to be one of the best in the country for medieval architecture , outdoor eating areas and general quality of environment as well as having plenty of shops. The New Forest is just over half an hour away with lovely small towns, cafe's, ponies wandering about and nice walks. The coast , including Bournemouth and Weymouth is about an hours drive away and if it,s wet there are very good shopping facilities, cinemas etc . in Southampton which again is not far away. In short quality place in great surroundings.
A really nice well appointed coach house in a truely lovely quiet location. Certainly worth a visit if you just want to unwind and relax
Unusual and Beautiful Views
It was a well maintained beautiful place to stay with a gated driveway, very rural and ideal for walkers and those that love nature. Mark and Miyuki were very helpful and left a good folder with plenty of information of local areas.
It had a very well fitted kitchen with all that you may need, including a dish washer, lounge very large and nicely set out, great views from the windows. Bedroom and bathroom downstairs which took a little getting use to. Only thing that we found not so good was the WiFi connection. I would recommend this accommodation to all those who want to get away from busy life and love the country side.
Thank you Pauline. We value your kind and honest comment.
Bournemouth/Poole is approximately 35 miles.
Southampton Airport - approximately 30 mins by car.
