The large living/dining area is a great family space. Books, dvd, games and magazines, comfy sofas, discrete lighting and an lcd tv with dvd player make the living room cosy and homely. The fully equipped kitchen provides you with everything you need to cater for yourselves on holiday, whether it is cheese on toast or a full Sunday roast. If the weather is right, why not use the bbq area in the garden. Two generously sized bedrooms, one double and one twin. All the bedrooms are able to accommodate a cot, which we can provide if needed. The pristine bathroom contains a bath with shower over. The Chalets are in the beautiful valley of Eskdale, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Eskdale can provide you with a new mountain to climb each day and just as many gentle riverside strolls and valley walks. Discover the secret tarn, the quaint church or the stunning waterfalls at Stanley Ghyll. The Chalets are set in a beautiful riverside location close to the village of Boot. Boot village offers traditional Inns, one of the oldest working watermills and a village shop. Eskdale is surrounded by the biggest, deepest and steepest in England. Sca Fell, England’s highest Mountain, can be conquered in a day from The Chalets. Wast water, England’s deepest lake is a beautiful place to spend the day and is just 10 minutes drive away. The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, locally known as La’al Ratty, winds it’s way down through the valley to the sea, from Eskdale to Ravenglass, perhaps England’s prettiest train journey.
Philip has completely renovated our property and continues to maintain the gardens and holiday cottages ensuring high standards are maintained. I am a primary school teacher. We also have a young family and are always busy biking, walking and enjoying where we live.

We fell in love with The Lake District many years ago and it was a dream to have a property here. Little did we know that we would make it happen in our 30's. Eskdale is the most beautiful, peaceful location you could hope to live in and this makes it a special retreat for holiday makers. We are surrounded by the Lakeland fells and yet far from the madding crowd. Climb a different mountain every day, amble along the river and seek refreshments in one of 4 lovely local pubs or spend the day in our mature riverside south facing gardens.
The Chalets can provide you with high quality, four-star, holiday cottages in Eskdale. We have 4 cottages, close to the village of Boot. Each Cottage has two bedrooms and is spacious and beautifully furnished. Set in large, mature riverside gardens on the banks of the river Esk. One chalet is able to accommodate a very well behaved house trained dog. The large living/dining area is a great family space. Books, DVD’s, games and magazines, comfy sofas, discrete lighting and an LCD TV with DVD player make the living room is cosy and homely. The fully equipped kitchen provides you with everything you need to cater for yourselves on holiday, whether it is cheese on toast or a full Sunday roast. BBQ, bike hire, washing machine, tumble drier and drying room.
