Magnolia Lodge is situated within the grounds of our 10 acre small holding just 3 minutes from the A38 Devon Express way and 1 mile outside the market town of Newton Abbot. The spacious accommodation, all on ground floor level, features a contemporary wood burner in the lounge, fitted kitchen with range cooker and built in appliances, 2 bedrooms (both can accommodate travel cot), 2 bathrooms, garden and parking. There are an excellent range of local shops, restaurants and facilities nearby to cater for all requirements.

Why Rose Curtis chose Teigngrace

I've lived in Devon all my life and simply love it! We bought Stover Park Farm, with its 10 acres, in February 2010. As a farmer's daughter I wanted my children to also be able to enjoy the countryside and outdoor life. We're situated just 3 minutes from the A38 Devon Expressway and our location provides the perfect base to visit South Devon's beautiful beaches, the English Riviera and Dartmoor. Cornwall is only 45 minutes away over the Tamar Bridge.

What makes this Bungalow unique

In April 2012 we embarked on the conversion of the cedar clad building, next to our house, which we've named "Magnolia Lodge" as it sits in the shadow of two beautiful Magnolia Trees. We wanted to create a space based on the "best bits" of our many family holiday experiences. The internal spec is contemporary and spacious and the interior decor in restful, neutral tones. The modern wood burner will add warmth and coziness during winter short breaks and the BBQ will be just what's needed for those great British summers! However, if you enjoy more adventurous cooking then our fantastic range cooker is just for you, but, if you don't want to slave over a hot stove then fear not Devon not only produces great food but cooks it too and there's plenty of great places to eat out.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen, towels & tea towels provided. Linen/towels etc changed weekly for 7 days + bookings. Beach towels not supplied.                                                               The property is very clean, spacious and well equipped. The owners live next door and are very friendly and available if needed.

                                                              We were out walking all day every day but it would be a great place to chill if you wanted to be less active. Plenty of books games and a shed full of out door games. The garden is enclosed and lovely. Although set back off the main road behind hedges it was not noisy. A good location to explore the area by road.

                                                              If less mobile would suggest second bedroom as ensuite room has low bed. The other room is still spacious and has zip and link bed to make huge double.

                                                              Magnolia Lodge is a little gem. A beautiful lodge set in lovely quiet surroundings and not far from some fab things to do around Devon. The lodge itself is modern, a home from home, and best of all the log fire was the centre piece for our colder March evenings. Rose, the owner was a pleasure to deal with from the time of booking the trip, to being welcomed on arrival with a fabulous cream tea. Couldn't have done more for us. Highly recommend Magnolia Lodge. 5 stars.
