Weekend break, cute cottage
Clean and tidy property. Very short walk to main Penryn shopping street. Not quite what we expected in terms of location as we expected more of a village feel and better access to river walks to Falmouth, but that was probably more our fault in our initial holiday investigations. Very good comms with owner. Pretty little cottage.
Lovely, clean, well-equipped house in good location
Had a great holiday at Sarah’s house. It’s a lovely cottage with decent sized rooms and a well-stocked kitchen. Location also really convenient as a short walk away from Penryn town with shops and restaurants, and then a 10-Mum drive from all the amazing beaches in Falmouth. Would recommend. Sarah also a great host, quick to respond and went out of her way to help us by finding a second baby cot!
A lovely, peaceful cottage.
Sweet Pea cottage is lovely - comfortable and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed sitting in the sunny courtyard.
cozy cottage in a great location
We loved staying at the Sweet Pea Cottage. Was a perfect setting for getting the feel of historic Cornwall, and a great location from which to explore different sites. The owner was awesome in responding to all emails and the check in and check out was incredibly easy. We certainly hope to come back someday!
We loved having you as a guest Cynthia and pleased that you had a great stay! Sarah
Charming cottage, great location
A family of 5 (teenage/young adult children) shared the cottage for a week. The property is old and quirky, furnished in a way which younger and older alike found appealing and comfortable, and spotlessly clean. There is only one main ground floor space, but an attractive yard and small cosy conservatory provide some additional space if different people have different wishes. Wifi reliable for our purposes. The internal staircase might be difficult to negotiate for the very young or less mobile people and the street to the town centre is a steep one. We never met Sarah, but she dealt with minor queries quickly and very pleasantly. The old centre of Penryn is most attractive - the town has an interesting history. Don't miss out on the fish and chip shop near the top of the street! Quieter than Falmouth (but it's easy to go there if you want) and a great centre for getting around the area, including the coast for walks, canoeing, boat trips etc. We had a car with us which was fine with parking not far away, but public transport is also very good. We hope to go back!
Pretty Sweet Pea Cottage
Can't believe how lucky we were to find Sweet Pea Cottage available for a last minute short break. Everything worked so smoothly and efficiently. The cottage is so easy and relaxing to stay in with convenient parking and a well stocked kitchen. The courtyard was so pretty with lots of lovely flowers and a peaceful, lovely sunny place to sit. The cottage was also dog friendly. All in all it could not have been better and we would love to return. Thank you!
Conveniently located for a variety of Cornish beaches. Several local beaches are a 10/15 minute drive. Beaches in Falmouth are also accessible by bus/train and boat. South coast beaches are a mixture of sandy and rock pools. North coast beaches, which are great for surfing are 30 minutes by car. The rugged Lizard peninsular is a 40 minute drive to the tip. You will be spoilt for choice!

Penryn hosts many facilities including Miss Peapods Kitchen Cafe which is very family friendly. It shows live bands and serves local, organic food. There is a choice of pubs and a wine bar. Several takeaways including Mariners Fish & Chip shop, The Chilli and Rowe's pasties which we believe are the best in Cornwall. The town has a bank, post office, a doctors surgery and a museum. For groceries there is a local convenience store, a health food shop and a farm shop. There is a farmers market in the town hall on Friday and fresh fish can be bought at Islington Wharf. There are two large supermarkets 15 minute walk or 5 minutes in the car.
