About Anita Barker
Mill Cottage in Yoxford is owned by Anita and James Barker. We purchased the cottage in February 2012 and spent three months refurbishing it back to its original glory. We love Suffolk and enjoy spending time there with our son who is a big fishing fan. When we are at home in Hertfordshire we enjoy socialising with our friends, gardening and the full time job of entertaining our son!We want to share our cottage with others and have set it up to be a real home from home for us and for you. We hope that you enjoy our cottage.
Why Anita Barker chose Yoxford
We had enjoyed holidaying in Suffolk several times over the last few years and thought that it would be lovely to have a holiday home there. It is such a beautiful place to be, the light is amazing and very relaxing. We always sleep well whenever we stay. There is so much to do, lots of beaches, walking and we have yet to find a rubbish pub. You can go to the popular resorts such as Aldeburgh or Southwold or go off the beaten track in Dunwich or Cove Hithe. The cottage is easy to get to and only takes a couple of hours to get there from London and Hertfordshire.

Delightful cottage. Very enjoyable stay, beautiful suntrapped garden but a shame about the noise from next doors landscaping. Love to stay again.
Gorgeous, cosy cottage with log burner, very comfortable, in excellent location
Gorgeous cottage, beautifully decorated with lovely features and cosy log burner. Well equipped kitchen. Fabulous bathroom and lovely private garden. 5 mins walk from 2 pubs and cafe. Really enjoyed our time in the cottage.

Lovely cozy cottage, very clean and well equipped, good location.
My partner and I ( and a dog) had a 3 night break to celebrate his birthday. The cottage was lovely and warm, very clean and well equipped and in a good location to enjoy the surrounding area.
Bathroom a real treat!
Cottage well thought out, perfect for a dog and the garden pretty and probably nice in the summer!
Westleton crown is lovely, have eaten there several times and never disappointed. Griffin inn in Yoxley friendly too ( didn’t eat there).
Walking in Dunwich, and surrounding area.
Really relaxing and pleasant few days!!
Comfortable Cottage. Well equipped with nice garden
We spent a pleasant weekend in May. The Cottage had everything we needed and is well placed for exploring the Suffolk coast. We ate in both village pubs and had good meals in both.
Thank you for taking the time to review us and glad that you had a good stay.
Fantastic short break
We all loved Mill Cottage. It is a real home from home. Would highly recommend and love to return.
Lovely cosy cottage
We had a lovely weekend. It was a shame that they key was not available on arrival, but this was soon rectified, and Mill Cottage had everything we needed. The only slight down side for us was the garden was not totally enclosed, with the possibility of our German Shepherd being able to jump the bottom fence!
