A stunning 1950's beach house, quirky and different, has appeared in many magazines. The sea is at the end of the garden so no excuses not to swim!
Excellent access for Goodwood and the Chichester theatre. Great wind surfing, paddle boarding and kite surfing. We are on the same beach as West Wittering, but less crowded and more peaceful. The local shops are in East Wittering and have everything you need. I have a self contained annexe near the front of the house with its own entrance and which does not intrude on your privacy. My house keeper lives nearby and is always on hand to help if needed.
There are 4 double bedrooms 3 bathrooms all the beds are made up with top end linen and luxury bed toppers. Only one bedroom has a sea view and has an ensuite bathroom. There is a double bedroom with an ensuite on the ground floor with a shower. The 3rd double Bedroom has the use of the same bathroom as the twin bedroom. The kitchen has oven, fridge, microwave, full range of cooking utensils. Fully stocked with plates glasses bowls etc. We supply towels.
TV is a smart tv and has net-flicks there is a DVD player. Fast Internet. We also have a very large selection of art book for your enjoyment . There is constant hot water and very good heating as well as a wood burner fire, so the house is lovely in the winter as well as the summer. The Garden is fully secure with electric gates and there is parking for 4 cars. There is an outside bath with hot water for washing of the sand or relaxing in.
I'm a photographer mostly working in London and Paris. I would like to rent my house out to people who are looking for something a little different from the norm. It's great waking up and having the sea right there in the garden.
Crena Watson purchased this house in 2009
I bought this house in 2009 as a retreat from London life it's peaceful but not too isolated. It is convenient for London and Chichester is only 7 miles away.
It's not often you find a house that has the beach at the end of the garden, it's also great having Chichester so near, so one can be a beach bum as well as having a little culture! The sea here is safe, great for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and wind surfing. Long walks on the beach to East Head owned by the National trust.
Goodwood is close by, also Pallant House Gallery and the Chichester theatre.
A lovely house in a great location right on the beach. Everything was there for us towels, drying up cloths, lots of good quality china, glasses, cooking utensils and cutlery. There was ample space for all eight of us.
We had a wonderful time, lots of fresh air and warm fires. An amazing location for a beautiful house, I would highly recommend it.
Crena was there to greet us when we arrived, very welcoming, explained bits and bobs about the house, then left us to it. The house is really lovely, so many quirky art items and furnishings, including lots of really beautiful pieces of furniture, more books than a library! Such fun checking out each room! Love the string garden chairs, going to have to get some ourselves! The beds were so comfortable, with top quality bedding, it was like sleeping on fluffy clouds! The kitchen has everything you need, including kitchen towel, tea towels and dishwasher tabs. Plenty of towels (incl. bath mats) and loo rolls available too. All these bits and bobs usually take up an entire suitcase so it's such a bonus to have them all included, it really does make such a huge difference in taking the stress out of the holiday. We spent every day in the house, garden or on the beach directly outside with the odd trip into Wittering to visit butchers, greengrocers and bakery for our food supplies. The summerhouse is fab for a cold, wet or windy day when you want to be as close to the sea as possible yet all snuggly and protected. No matter what the weather the views were amazing, even the day we had sea fog right up to the back garden, it made for some amazing photos with dew laden cobwebs and plants and rainbow clouds as the sun tried to peek through. We had the local seal having his brunch of two fat fish on one morning! The last day the sea was like an ice-rink, not a ripple. We never tire of looking out at all the ever-changing views.
Thank you Crena for your hospitality, you have allowed us to have a wonderful, relaxing, stress-free week looking out from a stunning house at a stunning view, just what we all needed.....
Wishing you all the very best for the future xx

The beach is at the end of the garden The bay is sandy and backed with shingle. The beach is popular with windsurfers, divers, surfers (mostly long boarders given the nature of the waves), stand up paddle surfers, and also fossil hunters, as the Bracklesham Beds, a well known fossil bed, is visible at low tide. Bracklesham Bay is a coastal bay on the west side of the Manhood Peninsula in West Sussex, England. The bay looks out onto the English Channel and the Isle of Wight.

West Wittering can be reach by walking along the beach and East Wittering is 5mins by car or 15 mins by foot. Chichester is 7 miles.
