About Howard Arnes

We are 3 joint owners- Howard, Mike and Simon from Oxford, Norfolk and Saffron Walden who have skied together with mutual friends for many years. A bank manager and 2 dentists who decided to join forces to buy a nice apartment big enough for a group to enjoy good standard accommodation.

View to die for across Giffre valley.very spacious plenty of room to relax. good hot baths

convenience skiing at its best. Ski to door- lifts only 30M away in the morning. Nice pool on ground floor +sauna and steam room.

Morillon skiing ideal for beginners and children. lots of green and blue tree lined runs all leading back to base. While at same time many other and more challenging runs are available slightly further afield in les Carroz-1 chairlift , Samoens -2 lifts and Flaine 3 lifts away all part of the very well linked Grand Massif ski area.

Great spot !

This is a great spot for easy access to good range of skiing. Very comfortable accommodation and the go massif minibus service from Geneva Airport worked well and recommended as alternative to rental car . I hope to visit again .

The whole family had a great time. The apartment is lovely and in a good location. Great that the sports bar is just opposite for a pint and some UK sport. Will definitely return.

Ski to the door ,spacious accommodation ,superb views , large ski area, 5 linked resorts.

A remarkably spacious penthouse chalet apartment with superb views. Superb snow conditions for any time of the season let alone mid December. The excellent links to the other side results were all open and the skiing was superb with powder on Bergin and no ice anyway. Very easy access from Geneva airport, assented minute drive at most to the garage accommodation at the foot of the building.

Lovely week away in Morillon

We had a fantastic week in the Alps, the apartment was the perfect size for us and is very well located to all amenities including the ski lifts, even though our visit was during the summer we still used the lift to allow us to explore the area. We will certainly re-visit the area and would have no hesitation in staying in the property again.

Special interest holidays:

In the main summer season, the chairlift is open giving access to 400km of mountain bike trails and limitless alpine walking. Other summer activities in the valley and mountains include climbing, potholing, paragliding, canoeing and rafting. The recreational park of the 'Lac Bleu' situated down on the valley floor at the very centre of Morillon has a multitude of activities for every age including fishing, swimming, tennis, horse riding and petanque. Good tennis courts too in the village. Further up the valley are the stunning waterfalls of Sixt with many opportunities for walking close to the amazing chutes. Cycling enthusiasts have plenty of choice, whether it is gentle family biking along the valley floor to more serious road biking with plenty of scope for speed and climbs. The Grand Massif lifts are open for bikes in the summer but, even without the lifts, mountain bikers have lots of trail and mountain routes open to them. Bikes can be stored in the underground garage.


Car - Morillon is one of the closest ski resorts to the channel ports - driving time about 8 hours. A car is not needed for a winter holiday but is essential in summer. Just 65km or 1 hours drive from Geneva airport with taxi/car hire/bus transfer possible. Train - there is a regular train service from St Pancras via Paris/Lille to Geneva. Alternatively, you can take the Eurostar to Paris and then the TGV to Cluses. Transfers

The medieval town of Samoens with its impressive heritage is just 8km away. A further few km up the valley is Sixt Fer a Cheval, gateway to stunning and dramatic gorge and waterfall scenery. Chamonix Mont Blanc is just a 45min drive and the charming and stylish lakeside town of Annecy is about an hour's drive away. Excellent, surprisingly warm, swimming in the summer.

Good Sherpa supermarket and restaurants a sort walk away. Large Super U in Taninges- 15 min. and Carrefour on way to Samoens. Cash point in tourist office in Morillon village.
