Loved the farmhouse. Book it!

  • 5 of 5

Jennie was brilliant and the farmhouse amazing! Thanks for making it so great Jennie.

Lovely location which is very peaceful and 15 minutes from Rhug Farm shop, Llyn Brenig, Alwen Reservoir and not much further to Ruthin, Denbigh, Llangollen or Bala.

The farmhouse itself is large with oodles of character, high ceilings and an open fire for those cold evenings.

Tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, fire wood and crockery/cutlery all in place and Jennie provided towels as well. The fire served us well on a cold Jan evening.

WiFi, TV, BT TV, x box, board games, dvds, guide books and lots more also in the farmhouse for use. We snuggled up on the sofa and ignored the tech before a day exploring Llyn Brenig the following day.

I highly recommend the farmhouse to couples or families and we are already thinking about our next visit.

Fantastic !

A beautiful cottage in a stunning part of the country, Jennie met us on arrival and was very helpful. The cottage itself is beautiful, perfect for a quiet break from it all but close enough to some great locations.

We will definately be returning and would recommend the cottage to anyone.

I loved the peace. The garden. The location. And the cottage itself.

A very warm welcome from Keith. Who told us not to hesitate to ask if we needed anything. We didn't. The cottage had everything we required. Lovely. I want a week there.

Lovely few days away

  • 5 of 5

We had a great few days at the farmhouse. Jennie had kept in touch from booking to arrival and met us when we got there and gave some welcomed local knowledge. She had left a really nice welcome basket which was a nice touch. The farmhouse is fabulous - very clean & tidy and had everything we needed from a very well equipped kitchen to plenty of games, DVDs and even an Xbox. That said, we didn't even switch the TV on as we spent evenings in the outside 'piggery' summer house. This is a great space and very relaxing in the evenings with the candles glowing. The garden is very well maintained and lovely to sit in with a book. Really nice lounge with a huge fireplace which Jennie had prepared for us, but we never used it. 2 bedrooms are a good size with comfy beds, clean tasteful bedding and plenty of clean towels. It is in a very peaceful location about half an hour from Betwys-y-Coed in stunning countryside. Our two children (aged 9 & 13) had a good time (although the Wi-Fi did help!) Jennie and her husband live next door and there are cottages across the way that are rented out but the only neighbors we ever heard were the sheep! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet in a relaxing environment. We'll definitely be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a fantastic review Iain! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. You were ideal guests and it was great to see you got pleasure from the garden and 'Piggery', as well as the house. I always hope guests will find the games and books a welcome break from the television! I must send a huge 'Thank you' for leaving the house so spotlessly clean!! I hope to see you again soon.

Fantastic house, full of charm, cosy & inviting, in a fab location in the north Welsh hills.

  • 5 of 5

We spent a delightful summer's week at Bryn Halen with three dogs. Location: half an hour's drive in each direction takes you to Llangollen, Bala, Betws y Coed and all the great north Welsh locations (or about an hour to the coast). The farmhouse itself is set in a little complex of buildings amodst lush green sheep-studded fields -- glorious for walks or just gazing at the landscape.

Jennie and her husband are next door, and the converted barns opposite are owned or rented out. But in the house itself you are in your own world -- quiet and private, perfect for reading and relaxing. The garden (all yours) and the piggery converted into a summer house (with plants growing from the stones) are delightful. Inside there is lots of space and all the equipment you'll need to cook etc. Jennie couldn't be more helpful.

This is a great find, couldn't recommended highly enough --- we'll be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you Austen, for your great review. It was a pleasure hosting you, Linda and your lovely dogs. I am so pleased you were able to enjoy, not only the house, but the 'Piggery'. It's very useful to have when the weather is as changeable as it has been! You were perfect guests and Keith and I would be more than happy to welcome you all back anytime.
