Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment located on the 3rd floor of the complex Marina Mar, located at the back of the lively Vilamoura Marina, with private access to parking, a communal swimming pool for adults and another pool for children. The location offers its guests the convenience of being 100 meters walk from a wide range of services such as restaurants, bars, shops and nightlife venues.

The apartment sleeps up to 6 people. It has two bedrooms, both with air conditioning, one is a double room and has direct access to a balcony which has a partial view of the sea, pool and garden area, while the other bedroom has twin beds and no benefits from views outdoor areas.

As soon as we arrived the agent was waiting for us and what a lovely guy.

The apartment was in a perfect location with a lovely quiet pool area.

The apartment needs a little TLC but other than that it was absolutely lovely.

Great large balcony with the sun on it all day.

I greatly recommend the apartment and would definitely go back.

Excellent location for the beach and evening entertainment. Want to book again for next year

Property ideal for a group of 6, plenty of space. with us being all girls would say more mirrors would be useful, like another in the lounge but that is only a small comment. Friendly helpful arrangements communication was good. Booking again for next yr so that says a lot as what to come back already.

Would say more bin bags and washing up liquid would benefit because property can be left in a good condition then. struggled with removing rubbish.

Good position for marina but tired and dirty.

I booked this apartment without seeing any reviews as I couldn't find any. Big mistake. I went purely on the photographs which portray a large, clean modern apartment which it obviously once was. However, the apartment is tired as is the whole building which was groaning for a refurbishment. For me, the biggest disappointment was the fact that the apartment hadn't been cleaned properly, tiredness is no excuse for dirt - there was a build up of old dust along the edges and corners; the kitchen was grimey, old and sticky to touch. There was rust and mould around the shower screen fittings and tiles. I felt particularly disappointed as we run holiday accommodation ourselves in Cornwall and cleanliness is a high priority for us. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The two stars I have given this property are for position. Its location is very convenient for the marina, beaches, shops and restaurants of Vilamoura. We had a view of the marina although that is partially blocked by buildings across the road; a large balcony which receives the late afternoon sun extends from the lounge to the main bedroom. So to conclude, if location is your main priority I recommend it but if you expect more for your hard earned money then look elsewhere. It's a great shame - the whole building and grounds need a major refurb.

As I stated when I welcomed you into the apartment, I encourage guests to inform me as soon as possible when they find any conditions that are not to their liking or expected standard. I was disappointed to find out about your concerns only, on the last day, when I called you. It was too late for us to do anything about anything. I would have been grateful if you gave us a chance to make things right for you, as you may well understand and appreciate, as you also work in the hospitality business. The fact of the matter, and as you stated correctly, just because the building may be "groaning for a refurbishment", does not excuse and justify the lack of attention to cleaning procedures inside the apartment. I apologise for any disconfort this situation might have caused you. As these properties belong to different individual owners, the level quality of each of our properties is up to the owner's ability to invest in the them. We do encourage owners to keep investing in their property but, because the Algarve is mostly a summer vacation destination, owners are not too enthusiastic about the ideia of investing and maintaining quality materials in such a property. The rates practiced end up reflecting the quality of the property, minus the unfortunate odd sub-par cleaning procedures. I will personally ensure that management gets a hold of your review, and all other reviews for that matter, and addresses that everything is set in order for future guests. We hope you give us an opportunity to prove this was an unfortunate and isolated situation, by welcoming back again. If not in this property complex, in another one.
