Apartment on 5th floor,accessed via a lift or stairs, less than 50 metres from telecabine. The apartment has a traditional,cosy atmosphere. Double height ceilings give a spacious feeling.There is a fully equipped kitchen, TV + DVD player + iPod dock. It has a double bedroom,bunks and sofa bed + bathroom + 2 wc’s. The apartment provides access to a ski area perfect for families. The village has 3 restaurants, 3 bars 4 ski shops + supermarket, less than 50m away. Larger resorts of Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets are 15 mins drive with direct access to Switzerland.

About Jane Nowosielska

We are a family of five who live in rural Herefordshire, with our sheep, chickens and dogs.

We bought our apartment 12 years ago when our three boys were 4, 7 and 11, hence the close proximity of the apartment to the telecabine, and every thing else we needed! It is an extremely family friendly resort, with English speaking ESF instructors in the ski school, with the advantage of a creche.

La Grande Terche is perfect for us as we do not relish the crowds of the larger resorts and like nothing more than returning to the relative tranquillity of La Grande Terche in the evening, to eat, play cards/board game or watch a DVD together.Occasionally we treat ourselves to a meal in one of the three restaurants and our eldest is now frequenting the bars with his friends!

Why Jane Nowosielska chose Portes du Soleil

We love the area because of it ease of access from Geneva, only 64 kms away and the traditional Savoyard village location, away from the crowds.

It has everything you need within 50 metres, no need to go any where, unless you want to.

There are no tour operators frequenting La Grande Terche, and being able to pop across the road to the Epicierie in the morning for fresh croissants and baguettes, a roll my youngest has taken on!

For ski-ing later in the season you are only 15 minutes from the Ardent lift that takes you up to higher altitude ski-ing in Avoriaz, and ski-ing over into Switzerland.With free parking. You are only 7km from Morzine and 12km from Les Gets.

What makes this apartment unique

You benefit from exceptional views across the valley from the dining table, or the balcony in the summer..

There are 2 wc's and a shower over the bath in the bathroom.

The main living area has underfloor heating.

Just got back last night from France after one of the best ski holidays ever. The apartment was brilliant and the location couldn't have been better. Many thanks and we will hopefully be in touch next year providing you are still letting.We were surprised how good the skiing around Le Grand Terche was and spent a couple of days there and had a couple of excellent lessons. The roc Enfer loop was closed after Tuesday and they told us the whole resort closes next week though the snow still looked good. Anyway we had 2 days in Les Gets and 2 days at Ardent, which as we love exploring was great.April 2013

Just wanted to say we have had a wonderful weekend. My 8 year old daughter is now a snowboarding addict who cant wait until she can go again. The apartment was perfect, just what we wanted. I have promised her that we will book it again next March but for a week this time !!March 2013

Summer holiday - Great base

This is a great little apartment. Access to the whole Portes du Soleil area is excellent. Morzine, Les Gets and Montriond are no more than 15 minutes drive.

There is a huge amount to do in the summer to keep adults and kids entertained. Swimming, walking, pony riding, kayaking.

My only issue is that in general French restaurants and food remains sadly unimaginative with the same old things on offer. Prices for eating out are steep in comparison with Austria and Germany.

Apartment is well equipped and tidy. Great view from the balcony.

Jane (owner) could not have been more helpful in dealing with a few minor issues.

Lovely little resort, great apartment

I came here for cycling, out of season and had a lovely time. The resort is small, which I really liked, quite rural and very quiet in out of season.

The apartment was great, nice a spacious for a ski apartment, great view from the balcony and would be perfect for a small family ski trip in a quieter resort, just wander out the apartment and on to the telecabine,,,,perfect!

I would/will happily stay again, summer or winter.

Well equipped apartment right next to telecable

We had a fantastic stay at this great apartment, it had everything we needed. The apartment was well equipped, warm with plenty of hot water after a long day ski-ing. Conveniently located right next to the telecable it was a very short walk with all our ski equipment. Local shop and bars good and we really liked the town and skiing resort Le Gets about a 20 minute drive. The owner was really helpful and accommodating and provided us with good accurate details of the apartment and area. We would definitely go back.

Great apartment

Wonderful place and brilliant area to start our children on the slopes.

Another great holiday in this cosy apartment

This was our 3rd time staying at this apartment and once again it didn't disappoint. The property is ideally located next to the telecabine, whilst being only 10 minutes drive from the busier town of Morzine. The views from the balcony are fabulous, the property is called Panoramique for a reason. We shall definitely be booking to stay again next winter.

Highly recommendable

Had a super holiday whilst staying at this apartment.

Property was well maintained, had a beautiful view and was exactly as described. It had a lovely homely feel and was always nice and warm which was ideal after a big day skiing.

Perfect location with everything we needed in close proximity including ski shop, restaurants and telecabine just behind apartment with a bigger supermarket and other resorts only a short drive away.

Would definitely return and recommend to anyone considering.

Changeover Day:
Change over day is normally a Friday but this is negotiable. Arrival after 4pm and depart by10am, unless otherwise arranged.

Notes on prices:
Cleaning of the apartment is included in the rental price ,to ensure the apartment is clean and tidy for your arrival. If the apartment is left in an exceptionally dirty condition, it may be necessary to charge extra to cover the cost of the cleaners.(This has not been necessary to date).
Cleaning is calculated into weekly price but will need to added to bookings for individual nights.
Linen can be provided and short breaks accommodated, please ask for price.
