Wonderful and quiet little place.

  • 4 of 5

Yes there were a lot of stairs but you’re in Positano. Giovanni greeted us with a bottle of his local family wine and stuck around for a little wine and cheese/ dried sausage with us.

We went to the local supermarket and picked up a few things for breakfast but ate at some of the most wonderful restaurants that were close by (Next 2). The terrace and a little place so nice we brought home take away and ate out on the terrace .

This place is a must to rent! Enjoy ciao

Wonderful location in vibrant Potisano

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to this area of Italy so Positano did not let us down it is an enchanting place.Yes very hilly and many many steps but you will be fitter by the time you leave! As Giovanni says take your time going up to the penthouse just keep stopping to enjoy the views. The penthouse was perfect and had everything we needed. The balcony is large and has views that you could never tire of. The small beach is perfect for swimming and relaxing on a sun bed. I recommend Ferdinandos beach bar serving food and drink all day at reasonable prices and so very friendly. From the main beach you can book ferry trips such as Amalfi Capri and Sorrento. To visit Pompeii Giovanni arranged a taxi which gave us plenty of time to see everything we wanted. Giovanni was a great host and the holiday in Positano will rank as one of our most memorable.

The best private view in Positano!

  • 5 of 5

I had a very positive experience renting Giovanni's for a few days early in September. The apartment has the BEST view in Positano, much better than the fancy hotels. It has the widest terrace. We spent many evenings up on our private terrace enjoying the ocean view under the moonlight. It really is the best way to stay in Positano.

Our host, Giovanni, was so great about communicating before our arrival, and on the day of arrival, we were in constant communication to figure out logistics to reach the villa. yes, there are some flights of steps to reach the place, but such is the case for most of the rentals in Positano. And the walk up the hill is lovely, with some of the best restaurants and shops in town along the way. So you can stop and take rest stops, which we did often. ;-)

The apartment itself is perfect. It's clean, has nice kitchen/dining area, washing machine, and bedroom with a beautiful view. Can't recommend enough booking Giovanni's place for your next Positano get-away.

We loved the villa in Positano! Giovanni is the best!

  • 5 of 5

Giovanni was an excellent host! There were 230 stairs up to the villa, but the view is well worth it. You can also hire a porter to carry your suitcase up the stairs...which we gladly did. It's in a great location that's right near a lot of great restaurants and is walkable to the beach. Giovanni was great for suggestions of places to go to as well. He was also so kind as to share some of the wine that he made....it was best wine that we had while in Italy! I would definitely stay at his place again and will recommend him as a host!

Perfect for us!

  • 5 of 5

First of all.. Giovanni was very responsive and attentive. He gave accurate directions and reliably met us (at the parking garage) right on time. He showed us to the apartment and was a pleasure to deal with!

The apartment was great! Based on the listing... I wasn't exactly sure of what we were getting. It was a bit confusing and I thought we were getting a 2 bedroom. We really only needed one bedroom so this wasn't a problem (and may have just been MY misunderstanding). The apartment had a phenomenal terrace with a breath-taking view of the beaches and ocean. It was well air conditioned, clean and had everything we needed. The shower is extremely small so would be a bit of a challenge for a 'very large' person (fyi). The kitchen also had everything that we needed (Microwave, Stove, Coffee Maker, 2 refrigerators).

Warning: If you are not physically fit... be careful. There are a LOT of stairs to climb from the main road (over 200).

I would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend this apartment. Great value and everything you could want (including exercise haha).

The perfect Positano apartment

  • 5 of 5

We could not have picked a more perfect place to stay. Yes, there's a lot of steps but if there's anything that's worth the view it's the 200+ steps to get this little slice of paradise. The views are to die for and the apartment is more than sufficient. Giovanni and his son are more than accommodating and they will give you a tour of positano but after a few days this piece of heaven will feel like home. I cannot wait to book this apartment again because Positano is a place you can't say goodbye to. I hope I get to host Giovanni and his family in America one day because I won't ever feel like I've paid my debt for allowing me to stay in his place and experience this beautiful know little town. If you're indecisive on this place I will be the first to tell you it's a dream and you won't regret it!
